I started playing classic again and I was shocked by how many new players I talked to that had NEVER played any type of wow before. It was like I was in 2004 again it's great.
the community has been really amazing to me as well, cus of how much of a noob i've been i've had 10g randomly given to me, 10 slot bags etc, been having a lot of fun on it
I never played wow either back in the day. I just one was poor nor did I have a computer. I played classic on launch with friends who did. I can see why it was addictive. But I did hear about it back then
The barrier of entry is much, much lower. You don't have to actually go out of your way to learn about 100 mechanics which you will never use because you were only given 30 seconds to become familiar with.
@johnnydeppisarapistjohnnyd8962could you take this shit somewhere else?
A lot of people like myself didn't play classic back in the day for whatever reason (in my case, I was already paying monthly for runescape) but heard other folks talk about it a lot. This is a nice way to see what all the fuss was about back then.
I'm glad to see vanilla doing good. I only played it for a few months during launch in 2019, but those were some of the best memories of WoW I have from ever playing the game. It has this nostalgic and cozy feeling that OSRS gives you, and is just an overall a very enjoyable and relaxing game.
Blizz should just refocus and build their game on this version.
Ppl don't understand this is why wow hit 12 mil subs in wrath. Og wow was so accessible any casual Andy could pick it up and get addicted to the progression without having to be good at video games. It also had a sense of tension and reward from completing almost any task that is missing from retail. Once game started to get harder ppl started to leave.
@@soulward6334 the issue is while the end game got harder everything up until end game became a snooze fest. You can level without falling below 95% hp or mana, and monsters do barely any damage. The leveling got easy and boring.
it was all about getting to the end game too, the world felt alive and people were levelling all over the place and you really felt part of a big world
when u finally hit 60 you knew your class inside out and were ready to step it up in big open raids with a crapton of people and overall it was just such a big social thing
even running low level dungeons was just so much fun
retail has none of the magic left that classic had
classic osrs really still has a certain magic and i kinda got addicted to it last month or so, osrs is just dangerously addictive and really hard to play casually without wasting too much time. I guess Wow's the same though. People just don't want to waste so much time and sink half their lives in games anymore. I think those days in general are over. Only those without a decent job/social life/girlfriend can still sink their teeth into these kind of games.
Classic, classic will fail because of two things. Blizzard, blizzard.
As a geared lvl capped rogue I look forward to giving people the classic experience
I dont mind it. A few days ago me with a bunch of lvl 30-40 ppl killed a full geared rogue in STV. Its all part of the fun
My wife just asked me yesterday if wow and our chars were still there! We are both in our 40s. Played in 2004 open beta till our son was born in 2006. She never touched any game since then. We are definitely doing this again!
Honestly the ting I hated most about vanilla back in the day was the drop rates on quest items. Like when you needed 10 of an item but had to kill about 300 to get those 10 if you had bad luck
Took me 87 moonstalker kills to get 5 fangs 😂. Really unlucky.
@@cn9707 Sounds about right lol
@@cn9707 yeah that's a lie
The quest are an illusion anyway, just to make you grind mobs in a zone with an excuse

I never played wow, I picked up Runescape in 4th grade in 2007 and played since. I always wanted to try WoW but I never liked the fact that it had so many expansions and new metas and crazy cosmetics etc etc. The fact that they just released the normal classic vanilla WoW means I finally get to start playing WoW from where it was meant to be played. No insane cosmetics, microtransactions, all that stuff. Can't wait to find time to hop on 🤙
Server Whitemane
the cosmetics are the reason is started playing this game
Just a tip, the really big and old private server warmane will start a classic - TBC - wotlk progressive realm in a few months. Its free and servers are better than official ones. Its mainly a wotlk focused community with 20k dayli online players. Blizz wishes to have half that on retail worldwide lol
I started to play WoW for the first time in my life on the Wotlk servers and then tried later retail... I can't even explain how much I feel more welcomed in classic servers. This is not the same game and community.
IMO, as a newbie back in the day of Classic, the “Naked Elf Run” to Stormwind was one of the most terrifying and challenging experiences in the game.
Truly, those murlocks and gators around menethil harbor were tough, as well as the razorback warthogs.
After 15 years of playing WOW still Molten Core is the best memory and unforgettable experience.
That's ridiculous. Obviously your opinion is somehow wrong. It's called Molten Bore for a reason.
@@HallyVee Doing that shit back in 2005 was quite a thrill, and nowadays, i personally prefer the more chill laid back raids in classic and TBC than the absolute sweatfest that is Retail WoW.
when I started playing on the feenix vanilla servers it was on the naxx phase. but every guild was in their own phase in terms of raid content. it was great and its basically what's going on on classic era right now
Very true. Almost at max level on a fresh character. Found a guild of completely fresh players as well, some veterans of the game and a surprisingly amount of complete beginners.
Very fun mix, everyone’s workin on PreBiS right now, with MC/Ony in the near future.
@@kangaroochili yeah. The phase pf the game doesnt really matter when you have guilds working through the phases anyways.
I played on the instant 60 feenix server. Literally the most fun I ever had playing wow
I recently started leveling in classic again due to being insanely bored of doing mythic + in retail and im having a blast, the journey to 60 is always fun and even endgame, the satisfaction of gettin max gear and becoming stronger, the interaction with others, such a great game, so well made, classic ftw.
class balance is so well made that a class with 3 spec can only choose one to perform
@@daami7100 even so, every skill press feels meaningfull, not like retail where is SPAMMMMMMM x28292939 of the generic resource generating skill and then playing whack-a-mole with 2882 procs every class has
I always say it is the connection. Retail feels like you are a toon in a simulation and you get picked up dropped into a dungeon walk through don’t talk. Complete grab item. Repeat till head is sore from banging on wall.
@@benne6512 there's just too many skills in general that you have on your bars .
im fine with lots of skills to CHOOSE from but yeah bloat is bad.
as a warrior player, i felt Cataclysm was perfect regarding Arm's rotation.
I started playing retail about a year and a half ago, always wanted to get into wow but it seemed really complicated and overwhelming. I started playing classic hardcore about a month ago and absolutely love it. Im addicted. Classic is the WOW i want to play.
I’ve been playing turtle wow because when I felt like playing vanilla there weren’t many people online. Now that there are enough players I may pay the monthly fee just to dip my toes back in.
And your comment is why it's annoying when people say that players that prefer classic is only due to "nostalgia". The game was just better back then, plain and simple.
@@bendak7584 I know the type of player you're talking about, I introduced one to the game back in Wotlk (original), all he cared about was buying gold, playing DPS classes ("tanking and healing is lame eww!"), getting gear, pushing up gearscore, making alts to get more gear, flaming people constantly, hated the game outside of raiding and just wanted everything to be as fast as possible.
You have to realise this is your average retail andy. They don't care about old WoW, blizz has slowly catered to the whiners over the years and completely molded the game around their incessant complaining to make everything more accessible and convenient. They are wannabe pro gamers who aren't good enough to play an actual competitive game. They have completely destroyed the game with their narcissism and blizzard is more than happy to cater to them, and when you try to even suggest you like vanilla, you literally get verbally assaulted for not liking GDKP, gold buying etc. I posted 1 single post on r/classicwow after the token thing and got heavily verbally assaulted.
These people have completely destroyed the game, and they don't care. They'll continue laughing in your face and being toxic, while making excuses for every one of blizzard's greedy practices. MMO's aren't hard, and they never will be. Competitive games are at least harder, or real life skills are hard.
@@samnsamole9448 Talking about the "mmo's are never hard and will never be" thingy.. Well have you ever played the FF14 ultimate or even savage raid tiers? >.> The hardest struggle i've ever had in a game.. Even damn DS/BB and Elden Ring weren't that hard
@@uMAtiQ learning an instrument is hard, learning a language, training to hit a sub 15 5k run. and in terms of games, broodwar, melee, fighting games at the top level, quake, tf2. losing weight, getting in shape, working hard towards a situation you want in life, those things are hard.
sitting in the comfort of your room, clacking on the keyboard, in a non-competitive game, while eating hotpockets, isn't hard. yes i'm generalizing but I know gamers, I know wow players. arguiing about skill in MMO's is IMO, just completely silly and trivial. they are games to be enjoyed, not conquered.
and Dark Souls isn't hard, never was, it's just "troll design" which originated with I wanna be the guy.
hadnt play wow in 15 years and i started playing again on classic. its great.
wb man
some of the best parts about vanilla wow for me are the items/gear
i really like the goofy items that blizzard eventually got rid of, the way stats were given to gear and how weapons sometimes had quirky on hit effects
i also really dislike flying so vanilla is really the perfect experience for me
You mean the very soul of a RPG? Items that breathe and tell a story, not only through descriptive yellow text. That? Yeah, that's been long gone.
@@zyzyx4207 aye captain
I've started retail wow 1.5 months ago and I feel like it's a rabbit hole trying to learn the game. There are way too many things to know about once you hit max lvl and a good number of the experienced players are ruthless towards to new players. I got enough gear for heroic aberrus but I can't even join because I'm still trying to learn my class' rotations and etc.
to me the leveling experience is extremely important. Retail fails at this by a huge margin and retails end game is a cluster fuck of which direction do I go and what I'm spending my time doing while classic is more direct and this is what I need to do.
Makes sense. It's literally the only version of the game you can play currently where the presence of real money isn't having a detrimental impact on your gameplay. WoW Token has killed WoW twice.
Gdkp
Vanilla WoW is just a great game full stop. You don't have to main it, play it all the time or be anywhere near an expert. It's just enjoyable for a whole lot of people.
“Gunship, go AFK till its dead.” Killed me 😂🤣
I'm blessed to have a good guild that's been clearing ulduar hms since week 4 or 5. We are currently experiencing player shortages though as people quit and we can't find people to replace them
Warmane is the place for you guys
So happy to see this. I love classic. I also love retail. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one that isn't like "F-- ___ WoW," but they truly have different positives and negatives and I choose depending on my mood. If I want to get immersed, go on a grand adventure, level, I play classic. If I just feel like smashing things and optimizing my toon for the highest DPS possible, pushing as far as I can in the raid, I play retail. I really love both and think they both have a lot to offer.
Dude your not alone lol even all through shadowlands when so many ppl were just hating on the game and company. I came back to wow shadowlands season 1 and have been playing ever since. I absolutely have been loving the game, all of it. I’ll push high keys and when I get annoyed I swap to play classic and just go level. There is nothing like it!
You're not alone. But I do often get that same feeling aswell, so I feel You 100%
I will hit 80 on my shaman today in Wotlk Classic and will be starting my Classic toon afterward. I never got to experience Vanilli, I am excited
see you there bro
I hope it's back. I'm ready to break out my MoM and smash some heads in BGs again.
Honestly, a refreshed Classic+ experience with new dungeons, raids and questlines, balanced classes or even reworked classes would be the real WoW killer
that would require the devs to have a passion and respect for the content
Wow classic classic, Thats how you know a game series is not doing well
Not just a series, but a genre. There is no reasonable substitute, just the version of the game when it was best.... nearly 20 years ago. :(
I'd have the same opinion if I didn't remember how many times skyrim has been re released lol
It's good though has the classic mmo feel with good combat and fun (not competitive) pvp. Blizzard is really missing out by not doing the same as old school runescape and making new content for vanilla
@@NamhadiNdemufayoOSRS is better than ever. It puts out a lot of new content and still retains character of classic RS
Pretty sure a game that came out in 2003 that still has people playing it isn't in bad shape lol
Even though I don't play or know about WoW I love to see this kind of activity
I had a lot of fun back in the day playing vanilla wow.
Great times.
Getting really nostalgic now.
get your ass back
I know a lot of people may not agree, but I'd love to see a balancing of dps specs. Not nerfing of things like damage, but making a spec like moonkin actually be able to function. Little things like that.
Agreed, no new content because blizzard will add micro transactions. Just buff some of the specs and that's it
I want one server at last patch for each of the following expansions: vanilla, tbc, wotlk. And have them stay there. Such that I can just chill and level in my own pace and at some point also raid in each expansion.
He's 100% correct about difficulty.
Wow has gradually added mechanics one by one to keep old players engaged to the point that new or casual players just alt+f4 when confronted with the college degree they've gotta take to simply play a game.
i played warlock in EU PVP Firemaw, 5 days now and she is level 18. the community is amazing the good old days are back. dungeons with groups are fantastic fun.
The first couple minutes of the video sums up why I don't play any classic era servers. Blizzard should just do what Jagex did with OSRS and choose a specific expac and work from there. Same level cap but new updates with content, gear progression, PvP seasons, and a voting system that allows players to choose the changes to their game. That's the only reason I'd go to classic servers, since spending over 100 hours leveling my character will only result in finally unlocking content that is trivial and boring to other people but I had never experienced before. Adding new content would change this and they don't necessarily need to make "classic wow expansions" to do so. Same level cap, same professions, just some new resources, patterns & recipes, fights, weapons & armor, and zones.
in general i feel like so many people over look making new content for these older games. first off, its SO easy compared to making triple A games these days, almost nothing on resources from it, Claissc + of course but also like making new DLCs for fallout 3/ New vegas, SO many people would throw their money at that so damn fast especially if it came with a remaster, and they could just keep doin it, rather quickly too, charge 10$ for every new DLC.
I started playing classic again after the WoW token was added to Wrath.
Sunday evening Orgrimmar was packed on Whitemane, I checked out Menethil Harbor and saw a steady stream of players going questing/raiding Ony.
For retail though, if I'm expected to leave to game to watch an external video on how to win a fight then the game has failed to present me with the relevant information I need to play as well as the community has failed to their social expectation to help me learn.
I left after cata and I just started playing classic(vanilla) and it great I've been enjoying the game again after not playing for so long.
My most memorable wow moment is when I got the sword from KT, and might of menethil. What a time
I feel like Retail WoW is "Too Hard" and Vanilla WoW is "Too Easy" because the meta is to simplify every single part of the game with mods.
Playing Vanilla with NO mods is "hard", but not impossible or overly punishing, but playing retail with no mods is basically impossible since they've balanced so much of the content around the idea that you have 10 things telling you what to do, where to go, when to attack, and where to stand.
They can disable trading for specific players, they have done it for unsubbed/f2p on retail
Warlocks don't have to worry about Manna anyway if they have a good health pool with life tap
I'm a developer and ya there's 0 chance they can't have a setting to change trading for hardcore players. They obviously already know who is hardcore and who isn't because when they die ... so just have a setting to check when a trade is initiated that both players are hardcore true or false - it's probably a bit more complex than that but can't imagine it's a HUGE amount of work
Any good recommendations on a server for someone just starting Vanilla wow?
You shouldnt have to go online and read a strategy guide and watch a youtube video to figure out how to do the mechanics of a raid boss. What is happening in the fight should be apparent, not some secret that kills everyone because someone had a debuff they didnt notice. Classic fights were hard enough to let you have some fun at the same time.
You’re right but most of the classic players did anyway
Agreed. But there should also be modes that require raid leaders to learn the fights beforehand so they can teach the group and assign tasks properly. Some of us love doing these things.
Remember that we aren't determining how a game should or should not be, though. That's the same as what they're trying to do, tell us that our opinion about how a fight should go is wrong somehow. The way we would express this thought is by saying we prefer when we can play with our grandparents and girlfriends.
Quite true, hyperbolic. My favorite time I think ever was Karazhan, where I was with a group of friends who communicated (and who all happened to be intelligent enough to keep up with the learning). I actually quit rating entirely when I realized they expected me to show up already having done homework. As if the guild was a competition.
I think that the best thing Blizzard could do for raiding in retail is to just have the best gear on heroic and mythic should just be a harder difficulty for competitive players but it shouldn't give you better loot just achievements
Great idea, but then sadly they would see how many little people even do that content if there is no loot reward and then stop using time to create that content. Alternatively they could keep the xmog recolor for armor and weapons which would be still incentive to do those higher difficulties.
That and also they should make m+ dungeon pools fun and not too hard/overtuned. M+ is retail's life and blood basically its the most popular and done content by far, and the dungeons being the worst ever in the history of wow this season doesnt help. Literally all the dungeons are too hard mechanically or overtuned and most importantly not fun(no big packs like neltharion lair for example).
@@SNSTR What do you mean anything under +16 is easy, if people have a problem with that they should go play cookie clicker or something.
People are getting older: they already do the hard stressed out grinds in everyday life (work), when they come back home and sit down in front of their pc they want to do something less grueling and more relaxed.
I enjoy playing vanilla/tbc over retail but at this point I can't get back into it unless it is v+ lvl 60 p-server. Looking forward to Epoch WoW.
I havent touched wow for 10 years, Classic got me back in. Having some nostalgia running through the lich king era with my sister., and soloing on Classic.
In all fairness, classic nax was an actual challenge, just depends who you were. For patchwork, mana management for that boss sucks, for gluth i was the frost mage paired with a hunter and red to shaman for dealing with those adds, kiting those was HARD.
i just played the game and speed ran levelling to 80 using joyous journeys so i could experience wrath endgame but since i got 80 too fast no one in group dungeon finder wants to run regular dungeons since they dont get xp, and my gear score is too low for heroics apparently. No one to play with and no way to get purple gear has led to me thinking about quitting after only reaching 80 three days ago
Is joyous journey a questing app?
yeah these days since heroic + became a thing fresh 80s with under 3.5k gear score are always kicked even tho technically the higher geared people are in THEIR queue lol, you have to make your own groups
@@bingboompow8861 it was a 50% boost to exp for like three weeks
Worst decision they ever made with raiding was splitting difficulty. You artificially segment the player base. Ive pushed for top world ranking for years.. I hate HATE mythic difficulty. Not how hard it is. That part is fine -- the elitism mentality that goes along with it. I wish they learned from some of teh design elements in Ulduar. We all zone into the same place... we trigger internally.. we're all equal humans. Stop putting people on pedastals and they'll stop acting like they're on one, Blizzard. You breed toxicity with your awful decisions.
I agree as much as I love the rush of the difficulty of retail it isn’t for everyone.
To me, Classis WoW was back in 2004 -2006. That was when the game was actually fun and gear meant something.
Retail being "too hard" is not the reason at all that it's failing. It's the fact the characters are too powerful, there is no sense of danger in the world in the slightest. being out in the world in retail is unbelievably boring. Also do you know one big difference between Classic and every other expansion? No flying mounts, I think its understated how much of an impact flying mounts had on peoples enjoyment in the open world.
Flying mounts are great in dragonflight. Being able to fly much higher and faster than regular flying mounts gives you a whole new feeling about how big the zones are, I can say it's majestic. At least it was for the 2 months I was playing DF. My problem with retail is how the hardcore content is designed, being able to get 1shot in a dungeon because of a single mistake and ruin the run which is timed is stupid. FFXIV does hardcore content much better.
Exactly. Vanilla open world mobs are on par to dungeon level pulls because pulling 3 mobs means blowing cool downs and without flying this means having to make tread carefully.
Totally agree. I find it really disingenuous that people now are shitting on vanilla's difficulty. Back when it was rereleased I was constantly hearing how great it was that when you were leveling if you pulled 2 mobs at once it was bad, and if it was 3 it might be death. Additionally people were loving how dungeons required a slower, more methodical approach rather than being an AoE fest like retail.
There's definitely much more going on than this silly guess that "ulduar raiding is hard, so people ran back to vanilla". Why didn't they go back to TBC? Are these actually the same people or are they new players?
Retail top end content is too hard for a much bigger % of the playerbase than anything classic has. And I mean a much bigger %
@@Mr91Jmay I understand that, but i don't think that is a main reason people prefer Classic. I think it's a lot more to do with the sense of adventure.
I don't need to experience bumper-to-bumper traffic to know that other people frequently use the highway I'm on. The same goes for deliberate quest bottlenecks in Classic.
To put it simply. To get the best gear in classic, you only need a handful of people in the raid to engage with the complex mechanics of the boss, while the simple mechanics everyone deals with. If one person messes up the simple mechanic, it isn't a wipe. All for the best gear.
In Retail? EVERYONE has to do the complex mechanics, and if one person fails, everyone wipes. You can't have a squad of like 10-15 moderate to good players pull the rest of the raid who is just there for DPS, while you can do that in retail.
The only fight in classic that has the "one person fails the mechanic, its a wipe" is Lich King with Defile, which is fine since hes the end expansion boss.
"I think bottlenecks are good"

Maybe they should let trade available to people who are the same level as yourself. Then all lvl 60 can trade eachother and if you forexsampel are an enchanter needed BS stuff, you just need to find someone your own level. That way you also make sure your "high level" gold can't go down the ladder/levels.
the leveling experience from wow is something else, cant wait to play it
why arent you already?
leveling sucks
@@babooska17 I did during vanilla, burning crusader and wrath, but I also play retail wow, I enjoy the classic experience of leveling and not the endgame unfortunly
Heck, I can’t even get into a MC, BWL, or even ZG raid in Classic WoW. They’re all fully booked almost as soon as they’re posted in Discord. It’s crazy.
I personally would like to see balance changes to the bad specs, an easier time with some of the resources in the world, a change to the world buffs, and an increase to debuffs on bosses so classes can play to their full potential.
it would be cool if they finished some of the dead areas that weren't done in time for the games original release
Turtle wow has pretty balanced HC: no AH, trade and grouping only available with +-5 lvls range. So if you are lvl 30 and your friend is lvl 24, no trading or grouping.
So can you actually play classic on official blizz servers? And it's active?? And when do hardcore servers come out?
Only been playing private servers casually since tbc classic came out
The reason players are coming back is because they really have high hopes of classic plus being announced which myself I want and like many others, and it is a reason they want to have the time to get BiS gear before any good news near the future. Classic plus hype this blizzcon!
I always use a wand with locks its so good!
I love classic I just wish they would change the PvP honor system. I played a ton of PvE in classic relaunch but I just couldn’t do PvP because bad the premades were and how ridiculous the honor system was. I would like to see a server with new honor PvP system in place and maybe duel spec and that would be the perfect game for me personally. I understand that’s not the true classic experience but there would be other servers for that 😃
When the Offical HC servers come online $20 bucks to get that Character back 😂
Started 2 months ago after a break on wotlk classic... saw the token at some point on the AH... left for classic classic.
deleting my retail characters and re-rolling Classic characters.
I would be serious interested in seeing full true classic players who haven't touched retail since WotLK attempt a fight like Sarkareth, either H or M, I don't think the mechanic difference matters.
Oh how I wish they would release content for vanilla wow...like a vanilla+... With cut content or something, or even new content but the same vibe.
Seems like the biggest thing they havnt tapped into.. And blizzard loves money. I don't get it.
Honestly I would like to see a hc dungeon/raid option, transmog, arenas and an achievement system. This alone would be an improvement. Harder dungeons and raids for those who want some challenge (Maybe with slightly better gear stats), transmog to provide to be the hero you want to look like AND it revives old zones for farming gear. Arenas would be great if you just want to fight along with your friends, achievements are always great to give players a reason to do something more than just raid log.
@@manxy. im not a fan of transmog, unless its like kinda a rarity like twow, for the most part seeing what gear people have on them is a lot cooler
I was 33 when WoW came out the first time. Don't feel too bad.
The trade stuff or grouping is a huge point that blizzard is likely not going to address. Pity, because this just means people are going to get boosted from 15-60 by mages. 15-40 in sm, 40-50 maru, 50-60 in strath.
Im a new player and started with wow wotlk classic as a human warrior on fire maw.
Levelig is TEDIOUS AF and honestly it's not fun, but I enjoy the (little) player interaction I get.
Leveling a 60 lock. It would be really cool to have fresh servers to play though the phases again.
I recognize these guild names, the pvp cluster. Was all hoping to see my shaman tank standing in org.
Hey Guys! I would like to know (seriously, since I have been seriously thinking about it but I have no data or knowledge; I want to just start playing wow) Why I should play Vanilla instead of WOFTK?
thanks = ) !
My brother and I started playing classic WOW just 2 months ago and are having a blast. We started beta and stopped playing around OG wotlk due to life and kids etc...now we are playing at a slower pace. So nostalgic.
Gear in vanilla wow even tho the raids are extremely easy still feel more rewarding then mythic gear in retail, i dont know why that is but for me thats the case
Retail is hard yeah. That is not a problem tho, the problem is that all the real meaningful rewards from playing the game is gate kept by hard to do content. This said DF has a lot of meaningful gearing up even if you only do normal the problem is the community of people just wanting you to have X or Y amount of ilvl/io to actually join groups that's what keeping WoW from popping all those elitists.
"And youre looking at retail when warlocks are"
FUCKING SENT ME LMAO
im playing classic lich king, years after stopped playing retail wow, so far its been super fun!
If my character automatically got transferred to wrath how can I get them back to vanilla
If they want to release new servers I hope the existing ones are still going to stay up, at least until I finish my first journey to level 60 :) so that would be 2 more years
I just wish they would change the pvp system in classic to make things actually obtainable
I just started playing classic wotlk this week, I don’t even really like mmo’s but this game is so sick from the dialogue to the starter zones and the brutal early gameplay. Tried playing retail but it just feels like the magic was gone and it had become more generic.
Classic/TBC with wrath talents and it's perfect
This entire video can be summed up as "There's people who are tired of dying in HC and just wanna see the rest of the game while they wait for official servers..."
Retail gearing also feels really stupid. Raids drop like 3-4 pieces, worldquests give you gear for free, catch up gear makes ur gear irrelevant in few months and M+ just lets u gear up for free. Id say the ideal balance would be to make Normal basically as classic in terms of difficulty, like u have stuff to watch out for but u can kinda do it if ur braindead and heroic for cometitive ppl. (thinking about it, it definitely isnt the best idea but im sure if few ppl put their heads together retail gearing could be thought out better).
also maybe the fact that I have to fight the boss and my spec at the same time doesnt help, like disc priest casually having to cycle thru like 10 abilities for basic rotation or rogues playing guitar hero everytime they press cooldowns
everything feels trivial, at first normal and hc dungeons are somewhat challenging at max lv, but once you get a few upgrades you can basically solo those dungeons, even m0, its absurd
Bruh I am in a guild with like 140 raiders in a raid where everything goes retail raid we smashed normal then heroic in a night, if you cant fix normal in DF now most people should go play cookie clicker.
Progression in classic is unmatched as gear score doesn't matter and not everything is a stat stick. Bis pieces are throughout all the raids for all classes.
That’s cap
@@Valvad0ss retail raids become obsolete once a new raid tier comes out, that's what am mainly comparing it to.
If anyone is hesitant on classic era because of buffs trust me it can hardly be considered a chore. With chronoboons you hardly ever get griefed if you play smart
Chronoboon?
This is funny because I had a group rage quit because we kept wiping in UP heroic plus to skadi.... how shocking
asmongold you need to make your own MMO dude, you know the genre in and out and would probably make the best MMO to ever exist. Just start a game company and make it happen dude!
As someone who has never really played any WoW before, which version of the game would you recommend to someone playing for the first time?
Classic has more meaning. Like all the gear you get matters more. It feels better to learn abilities. But it's more hardcore. Like no quest markers without add ons and stuff. But the social is booming in classic. Guilds are poppin. It's so much fun. Lots of people leveling. In every bracket
@@chrisbutler3353 is there a major difference between WoW Classic and WRath of the lich King classic aside from the obvious expansion?
Classic is much more of a fun xp for a new player. I was a new player two weeks ago and classic is where I found what I was looking for.
Asheron's Call was good as well. I haven't found a decent MMO sense then
Im playing classic era and is fully players. I have a warrior lvl 50 and dgs + wpvp feel so live.
so theres a firemaw for wotlk and a firemaw for classic era?
It feels like HC was really cool, but it was just a novelty, I don't think majority of people will just want to play in the same zone 20 times in a month.
i some times forget how old world of war carck is omg...
