This probably was the best series/game in rocket league history these guys were back and forth and no one had a advantage until nrg just kicked it to ultra gear and beat G2. Hwoever G2 with dreaz in the next couple months and more practice will be a force to reckon with
they're already a force to be reckoned with. faze is no joke. ayyjayy can make things happen out of nothing. holding faze to 0 goals in a bo5 is absolutely insane. I can't wait to see G2 next season with dreaz in the official roster

I think g2 loosing was mainly their fault in the last set, they started turning things around but lost to a unlucky 50/50. Series coulda gone both ways
@@mixGNF pretty much every game in the set could of gone either way. There was only a few games that weren’t 1 goal games

Phenomenal performance by NRG. Garrett and Squishy played incredibly well, Justin as well. But when he gets his hands on some sour patch kids this finale it's game over for SSG.
Fantastic series by G2 as well. Dreaz too op.

Honestly a travesty that this wasn't the grand finals. SSG did not deserve to be in the FInals imo. The skill level difference between G2 and NRG is negligible. Either could be the best team on any given day.
SSG played great wdym, NRG was just way better, Sypical stepped up and carried vs envy

I wish there was more play by play from the commentators. Everything is more hype with play by play, especially when it's a nice pass, or in the middle of an air dribble. Every sport does it at least 90% of the time except for RL.

Keep in mind when nrg is about to go up against ssg. This was the best g2 has played since season 9. They also played a very demo heavy game which is honestly just a warm up for ssg. Garrett and squishy played extremely well and thats without justin playing his usual semifinal game, and they still beat g2. Assuming justin eats some sour patch before the finals, i got nrg in both series.

Nope. Justin and squishy play their own game, Garrett recognised Dreaz's weakness in defence and was using it to his advantage throughout.
Retals and Arsenal are even more cunning than Garrett and would have abused it for sure.

It wasn't even like Psyonix chose. Epic Games, the company that bought out Psyonix, literally said they don't plan on having land until Spring of 2022 OR if covid dies down enough.
@@yashjacob2554 they couldn't have done it in the previous years of this game having a competitive scene, epic only recently got control, and psyonix been slackin since the batmobile was booted.
@@lando2165 What? What does that even mean? You're right, they couldn't have had NRG vs BDS when lans were still around because BDS wasn't even formed. I could be wrong about this but I believe Epic Games bought Psyonix in 2019. So their control is not very recent.
All these people just blaming Psyonix for no reason is just stupid. Like half of these people don't look for any other reason than Psyonix being lazy. They have always take player safety as a top priority and any sort of lan would have just been a complete joke and not a good tournament to come back to.

For Dreaz? Hell yeah man. Despite the loss, this was a classic series. Not always flashy, but intense from buzzer to buzzer. The kids got the skills, he just needs the pro level senses. You can see it in there at times, but with a year or two of real play, he's gonna be a monster on the field. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them take Worlds in 2023. It would likely end up a super tough series in the end, but if you told me G2 was hitting and winning worlds in 2023 I wouldn't deny it at all.
