And the opponent had two quality arial goals from passes off of walls.
Hey Virge. A few times you introduced a new mechanic, but then went on to state players ought to have had previously experience or at-least have started to learn, and that by this rank players ought already be improving. Perhaps you should do another video charting mechanic progression across all ranks; it seemed like you had much more to add, but couldn't in the confines of a list. I'd really like to know at what rank you think players should begin learning new things for the very first time, how they should progress, when to step up the difficulty, at what rank mechanic's become prevalent in-game, a ranked timeframe for mechanical competency, and what mastery looks like.
"In platinum to diamond you should learn half flips and wave dashing" *my bronze ass knowing how to do half flips and wave dashes yet cant score an open net* :😕

All about consistency man, if you are solo queueing, try to see (if you are playing 2’s) the first and second man as the second and third man in 3’s. If you are back, your teammate is trying to get back for defence, Wait untill he is behind you, and so on.

I feel like Virge is underestimating all of the ranks. He kind of grouped them together too much. I think that bronze to gold should be learning half flips, wavedashes, wall play and maybe even some basic aerial car control. I'm plat 2 and I have mastered everything I just listed and everything else I said. Nowadays all platniums know these things already and thats why this video kind of disappointed me. I figured if anyone would know these things it would be Virge. I hope he sees this and maybe investigates further in the topic of low ranked players.
I can already tell you that in bronze to gold all u need to know how to do is light aerial practise and on target shots and learn to defend a bit and thats all u need
Being softstuck at Diamond 3 i've seen so much results not waiting for the bounce when doing an aerial. You want to make sure you go for the ball before you feel comfortable.
i just tried out that training pack for plat-diamond. i always felt like my mechanics weren’t that great, but the pack showed me what i can do and what i can work on. bonus that it’s really fun too lol
Tbh, I’m not one of “those plats” but I do feel like most people know how to wave dash and half flip. As of now, I’m practicing my placements on shots and dribbling, aswell as simple ceiling shots and airdribbles
One thing the video didn't mention is speed and fast decision. I play a lot of casual and every now and then I end up with a Low diamond on my team, and I always notice how long they take to make the decision to do something, sometimes they wait the ball drop with an opponent rushing or don't go to a 50/50 when there's already a teammate covering the net, even if you miss you can force a premature flick or 50/50 that will end up for your teammate. I'm GC 1 2v2 btw.
I see one big problem with rocket league at almost all ranks. I notice that passing is not really talked about or implemented except at the highest rank. I truly think this needs to be talked about more and implemented. It just makes it so easy to get the ball past the enemy.
Came back to RL and went from bronze to plat just with slow accurate hits and a lot of patience. Ppl miss A LOT, so i waited and punished every chance I got. So that's how I am getting beat by ceiling shot flip reset aerial dudes without even being able to dribble the ball. Fyi I became great at the basics defending, striking, powershotting, reading the ball, the play, managing boost, half flips, powerslides, not committing and recovery, All that from practice.
Great video Virge been following you for quite some time and you helped me out a lot again this video was full of tips i can use to get better thank you so much and keep up the great work
Y’all hating on plats. I’m a play and I can’t consistently air dribble, and ceiling shot. And I can’t even flip reset. I’m almost diamond. But I can save and hit ground shots. And most importantly, I can rotate

That intro gives me chills
I'd really like to know at what rank you think players should begin learning new things for the very first time, how they should progress, when to step up the difficulty, at what rank mechanic's become prevalent in-game, a ranked timeframe for mechanical competency, and what mastery looks like.
the gap between d3 and c1 is what is killing me
Lol I just got into D1 Today
@@HRXDlol it’s all about to go down hill good luck 🤞
3 months later you got c1 yet?
@@cz3215 same I keep getting is div 4 and then drop back to div 3
I got d1 a month ago, it's all down hill now lmao. I reached d2 div 4, now I'm plat 2 div 1.
finally someone who makes educational rocket league videos for more than just diamonds and below
That plat player: I’m plat but I’m so good that I can score everything in the SSL training pack
Yeah, after at least 50 tries for each shot 😔
I have nothing to say to that
smae
Picked up the controller. Looks awesome!!!! First video I’ve seen of yours. Instant sub worthy! Keep the videos rolling
well finally caught up to and upload
if ur reading this virge have a nice day
That controller is no joke. Definitely gonna cop it
"In platinum to diamond you should learn half flips and wave dashing"
*my bronze ass knowing how to do half flips and wave dashes yet cant score an open net* :😕
Thats me wtf 🤣😭🤣
Probably the best video of its kind I’ve seen, thanks Virge and Gary!
Even if I do end up learning any of these it wont matter if my internet speeds are -50000TB
Great video Virge! Very in depth descriptions of everything for each rank. Maybe do one for rotations at each rank? That would be tougher but would be insane
Me, a genius learning all of them..
I think a series breaking down a replay or multiple replays from each rank in order would be nice.
As soon as he said "This game is fun throughout" I knew this was all a lie!
I love how Gary started playing better the further into the video
Wish I could get better that fast :(
Plat to diamond: You should learn areals
People in diamond: flip reseting all over The place
Me a diamond: ye Ye im gonna learn to boost upwards while they are doing Thier shit
actually that's really good, it's better to master a mechanic than barely being able to do multiples one
edit: he just said that in the video my bad
I don’t think he really knows what goes on in high plat and dia, those tips he gave pretty much only apply to low plats
@@eklipse2976 I used to think like you when I was lower rank but you'll see when you rank up that you didn't need all that stuff anyway and you just needed to master the basics
@@hifumiVAL I think air dribbling is good foir dia. I’m d3 rn so I was not knowing whether to try the game ones or diamond
@@hifumiVAL “when I rank up” I got to champ 1 a week ago and I was in diamond for more than three months, I think I know what the fuck I’m talking about thanks
Bro, wth is this! It’s so good, I never thought I would find a video like this with everything like this, wow, I am really impressed 😂😂
ssl should be going outside its a really difficult mechanic to learn at that level but if you do that you could touch some grass
I'm in plat 3 rn and the things that I have the most trouble with are aerials off the wall, both on defense in the form of clears, and on offense in the form of powerful shots/hits, so it'd be really helpful if you could make a video about these types of aerials
ok but like, how do i get from diamond to champ?
All about consistency man, if you are solo queueing, try to see (if you are playing 2’s) the first and second man as the second and third man in 3’s. If you are back, your teammate is trying to get back for defence, Wait untill he is behind you, and so on.
Just work on your positioning, rotation, and the mechanics that virge mentioned.
you don't, and i dont
Best intro in the RL community hands down! Love the vids, hope they return soon. Best wishes!
Me: *clicks on video*
Also me: pls bronze don’t be simple airels
Edit: I’m gold now but I keep trying to do air dribbles and I suck at it what rank should I start
I started to play the game a couple of weeks ago, I'm gold 1 now and I've never practiced aerials yet. Don't worry you can rank up without them
@@matteobenvestito9537 youre really not gonna get that far without aerial skill though. even in plat aerials are pretty necessary even to at least contest the ball, take it from a champ player
@@kylegirouard2616 well what do you mean with aerial skills? I mean I can hit the ball in air (having some trouble to make it go where I want 😂) but if you're talking about air roll and those things I'm absolutely hopeless
@@kylegirouard2616 what rank should I start to try and air dribble
@@jayden5054 basic aerials gold, a lil more control in plat (basic 2 or 3 touch air dribbles),
This is what I needed as motivation to restart my training. I love the video and has been neglecting my training but this gave me the boost I need thank you!
@@abdul-hakeemmoughal242 game sense?
@@abdul-hakeemmoughal242 even just a little bit of game sense would go a long way in bronze to gold games. Farther than mechanics i think.
I think you misunderstood the video... keyword master... im plat 3 btw and you need to master them not learn them master them...
i dont see the need for half flips and speed flips but in silver from experience me and my homies have somewhat decent car control
Congrats on 100K!!!! You deserve it
really good video and congrats on 100k you're the first rocket league youtuber I subbed to
Just bought that controller from your link, excited to try it!
Being softstuck at Diamond 3 i've seen so much results not waiting for the bounce when doing an aerial. You want to make sure you go for the ball before you feel comfortable.
Great vid. Really opened my eyes. I’m gc 1 off mastering the basics and game sense, but I need to take more risks and learn to master more stuff.
First time watching your video and that intro was insane!!! I’m already hooked to this channel
Just found your channel and oh my that's literally the best intro I've ever seen!!
not as cool as lethamyrs
Dude watching people boost from far away is like watching DBZ or some kind of anime. It’s sick. Also; what a video. Entertaining and useful.
Congrats on 100k subs Virge!
i just tried out that training pack for plat-diamond. i always felt like my mechanics weren’t that great, but the pack showed me what i can do and what i can work on. bonus that it’s really fun too lol
Such a good vid Virge no wonder you got ya boys winning again!
I'm a d1 but I think you might add the faster flicks. Awesome video!
These packs are so helpful man! I'm stuck in platinum and find myself missing certain angles on open nets, this helps a lot.
I am a new free to play player. Only a few days of in game play time to my name and this will be a huge help! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this. I ran through the first pack twice before playing and I had a noticeable difference. Time to put the work in 😤
Tbh, I’m not one of “those plats” but I do feel like most people know how to wave dash and half flip.
We all can agree, Virge has one of the best rl intro's ever
I see one big problem with rocket league at almost all ranks. I notice that passing is not really talked about or implemented except at the highest rank. I truly think this needs to be talked about more and implemented. It just makes it so easy to get the ball past the enemy.
Hey I’m new to your channel and I would just like to say your intro is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Nice video. Keep up the work.💪💪💪💪
Revisiting this vid to get an idea where I’m at. I was gold 1/2 last time I watched this video. I’m diamond 3 and on the threshold of champ. 💪🏾
OMG, congrats on 100K Virge🎉🎉🎉💐💐💐💐👏👏👏👏😘😘😘
Dude you are extremely resourceful and helpful thank you. Earned a sub.
Thank you for making dignitas skilled
Came back to RL and went from bronze to plat just with slow accurate hits and a lot of patience. Ppl miss A LOT, so i waited and punished every chance I got. So that's how I am getting beat by ceiling shot flip reset aerial dudes without even being able to dribble the ball. Fyi I became great at the basics defending, striking, powershotting, reading the ball, the play, managing boost, half flips, powerslides, not committing and recovery, All that from practice.
Great video Virge been following you for quite some time and you helped me out a lot again this video was full of tips i can use to get better thank you so much and keep up the great work
Great vid Virge, as always.
I love the vids man hope you can reach 1 mil one day
Y’all hating on plats. I’m a play and I can’t consistently air dribble, and ceiling shot. And I can’t even flip reset. I’m almost diamond. But I can save and hit ground shots. And most importantly, I can rotate
been frustrated with the game. currently unplugging for the week while visiting my parents, but im so motivated to improve when i go home. imma go back and work on all the things i shouldve trained while i was diamond. ive finally gotten back to c3 after learning air roll left and dropping to d3 (lol). hoping to get to gc
Only started playing Rocket league last year, found this really helpful thanks !!
Hey ViRGE ik you won't see this but I think a lot a of RL ytbers need to see this. As new metas and more advanced medas go into the higher ranks those other skills goes down into the lower ranks like if you compare a gold 2 player team to 2 rlcs players 2 years ago gold would win. Thanks ViRGE also great vid
Not true the rlcs pros would fuck the golds up
And this has already been debunked by c bell...
