Randy Rhoads Pin Stripe Mod / Tuning up to high A (+ Crazy Train Solo)

- In This Video I'm putting vinyl pin stripes on my Jackson JS 1X RR Minion to make it truly look like a Randy Rhoads guitar.
I'm also testing those 007" gauge strings (Dunlop RWN0738 Super Fine) to tune up to High A.
At the end I play the Solo of "Crazy Train" (Ozzy Osbourne) in A tuning.

really great tip on putting the thinner strings on the other side of the pegheads, never thought of that!

This scale length is awesome for a Hi6 /NashvilleTuning, excellent for doubles or creating a 12s sound. One of the most on point demo's of purpose a git like this can mean. Stay safe and well ✌️ ♥️

This was a really cool video boss! I've been on the search for Metal guitarists tuning up! I've got a First Act flying V which I think may be a shorter scale length than your Jackson, and I usually put it Drop E, F Standard, and G standard tunings! Sounds great for Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash, and 80's Heavy Metal / Glam / Hard Rock ! Keep up the good work mate! Just subscribed! Thank you :) for a black guitar you can use white, or grey (not sure if they exist) or even pink (like one of Alexi Laiho's signature guitars)

yes, I did a full setup (truss rod, saddle height, intonation). But the setup was quite ok when I got it.

any way you can share the exact pin stripes you bought? I love the "bendablility" and cover layer for these stripes

And I've used only the thinner stripe from that roll.
but the same are available also shipping from china, which usually has very cheap world wide shipping

ja, bzw. nennen die das bei Adam "X-ART Hochtöner", aber sind quasi Air Motion. Bin sehr happy mit diesen Lautsprechern, schon seit 9 Jahren :)
Is it possible to change the pickups tu active one?
The pickups (and cavities) have the normal size.
EMGs always need slightly bigger cavities, I think. Maybe uncovered Fishman Fluence will fit with no routing. But I think replacing the pickups on that guitar would be overkill.

Not if you use 7 gauge strings with a short scale guitar, which this is. Problem solved! \m/
