Good content guys. Also hope Travis is doing well. Been with you guys for many years now and missed seeing the tips and tricks your guys were known for! Nice to see it coming back!

I get most of this. What I've never understood though, is that a line can break from flipping a fish of way less weight than the pound test...for example, the other day I tried to flip a catfish up onto the dock. My line is 20 lb test, but this catfish was nowhere near that, maybe a few pounds. Why does line sometimes break when flipping a fish of less weight than the pound test? Thanks!

Hey man! Line breaks can happen for many different reasons. Certain brands break easier than others, line was damaged, old line can break easier as it’s become weaker from use. Elite Series guys change out their line almost every day. Was it fluoro? Braid? Very easy to get a nick in fluoro and that can cause an quick break. Same as a fray in braided line. I always frequently check my fluoro a few feet in front of the knot and look for any weak spots on braid.

@@ryanraddin9568 Gotcha. Try fluoro…it’s more abrasion resistant and far less stretch than mono. You should be able to control and fight those cats a little better!
