I was at this show at Congress Theatre! Thanks for uploading. After the show, we waited by the tour bus and met the band. A random pizza delivery driver passed by, saw the group of us and asked if we had ordered a pizza. Corey bought the giant pizza and shared it with the fans after the show.

I saw Slipknot as and opening band for coal chamber back in 1999. . Before the show started I stood out side talking to this guy about coal chamber, slipknot and dope and metal bands for like an hour. . No idea till like a couple years later it was Clown and I had no fukin clue lol

When corey screamed. It was real. It was rage. Bitterness. Pain. Not just some guy growling. Not saying growling is bad. It's just rare to hear a singer let out real emotions. That's probably because it isn't sustainable in the long run.
listening to clown and chris do backing vocals without masks clears up so much confusion...they sound great here...one thing corey always did that they didnt was that he designed his masks where his nose was open...i dont get why these guys didnt do the same...especially after they saw the disasterpieces dvd they should have realized how much their masks effect their vocals and designed them so that their noses werent covered up
Not sure if I 100% agree here. I am (and could be wrong) pretty sure Corey’s Vol.3 mask and TESF masks don’t have open airways to the nostrils on his masks. While I’m sure the open air way helps make a difference Corey always touted the mouth opening being more “organic” having a larger impact on his vocals. Seeing that Chis was always working with a zipper semi closed mouth, and Shawn’s masks being all over the place in those regards I would say played more of a roll on the effect on their vocal performance.

Was just at Louder Than Life recently & they played the whole self titled record in its entirety and had the same logo as the one in this video. Was so awesome to see them turn back the clock & give us that old Slipknot back for the OG fans.

Most likely it's some of the people that were hired to film, but after 20 years the NDA’s have expired. I'm more impressed at how few people broke those NDAs, they kept it well hidden.

Daaammmnnn. Seeing these guys without masks back then would have been like finding Jesus personally. I was just a kid, and what they made was mythical. I remember in 2001, an old friend had this tape with a big Slipknot concert; it was love at first sight for me. The band was not that big here in Brazil yet, and we felt like a closed cult. It was kinda crazy to think how they were behind those masks for the next few years. Nice times.

It’s funny with all the polished projects and big arenas this really reminds me of the ungodly amount of work, practice, jamming thrashing, business, you name it, that goes into being at the top of the game.
it's funny to see what they wear when they're just hanging out, as opposed to the concert attire where they all match. you've gotta love that for two of them, it's a batman hockey jersey and a postal worker shirt. it shows more of their personality, more than only a mask does.
Saw these guys at the Masquerade in Atlanta around this same time. Unbelievable show. I knew very little about the band and I remember standing in line prior to the show, there were two young kids in front of my friend and I that were dressed up like Slipknot. We had no clue, but Clown and Corey actually came up to them and complimented their outfits. My friend and I had zero clue they were Slipknot members, haha!! But we weren't the only ones. Probably 98% of the kids standing in line did not know who they were.
I always love seeing how world famous bands get prepped before doing a show. We always see the polished product, and a sparkly finished product. I like to see them use their real life abilities and see them fuck up. God. I can't imagine how bad Corey's throat was in those days. I wonder if he had any technique or if it was just pure scream.
