absolutely, adding the CV capabilities of the A4 is similar to expanding the DFAM with an additional sequencer, two envelopes, 2 LFO's and parameter locks.
This is great! Would you be open to doing a video on utilizing A4s CV capabilities? Ive been experimenting but havent found teh best workflow yet. Ive been using it with my make noise trio
Thanks for the kind words! I was a total noob on CV modulation until I got the DFAM. The first thing I sorted out was to get clock from A4 into DFAM (set A4 CVA to clock). I use a half devision of clock to slow down DFAM so I get 16 steps of modulation per one cycle of DFAM. Then set CVB to CV 1V/oct and parameter lock steps with notes and connect it the a VCO. Additionally configure CVC to e.g. linear CV to target any interesting modulation parameter (VCF/filter?) and modulate that with A4's LFO's. Play with LFO shape and speed to find a sweet spot. That's basically it. don't make it too complex. Configure modulation in search for sweet spots and happy accidents. Don't think it over too much. The brain can't handle that. Let the machines do the work.
@myceliumtechno hey just seeing this! Thanks for your thorough response! I'm in the process of starting up my own UA-cam channel for live jams/sound design. Thanks for the inspiration and the awesome content 💚
A4 has 4 CV/Gate ports which are highly configurable. One port I have configured CV clock and goes into DFAM adv/clock port. After this you can go as wild as you like with modulating the DFAM, far beyond what the DFAM could do on its own.
Very cool.
Man i used to get lost for days in set ups like this haha.
The DFAM is hypnotising when you let it.
nice loop.Powerful combo we don't see together so often~..🤖
thanks! it's a great use of the CV options the A4 has to offer.
The power! Amazing! 😱
It is. You got to tame it a little especially when the filter is open, it can scream.
A combo made in heaven! I do not use CV nearly enough.

Tasty!

@@seededvision1442 you are very welcome! I'll keep an eye on your channel. Happy experimenting!
This is stellar. How do you sync these two?
