I don't think people realize how difficult this is to play on guitar. Timing the slide up and down perfectly while singing, and perfectly landing on the right fret while having to go back and forth so fast is a serious challenge. Especially while singing!
He always did justice to the bleach tracks. But this is one he made way better in my opinion. He didn’t change much. He just does it way cleaner than Chad did.

There's something so surreal about this particular live performance. From the dancers to the lack of bends in the breaks and the gigantic lights in the back swinging from side to side.
He really isn't. Technically speaking hes a very very sloppy guitarist and all of his songs are extremely basic. They're very very nice to listen to tho don't get me wrong.

The vast majority of Nirvana's discography is just power chords or based around power chords. The real magic was his strumming hand. "Muddy Banks of the Wishkah" was my first Nirvana CD and I listened to it obsessively, so to me, this version of Negative Creep will always be the best version.

In my teens I spent nearly every day with the same 4 ppl after school and we’d drive around backroads high af. We’d always play at least a couple nirvana songs. They are cherished memories that soften my heart in dark moments. I’m 4o now and one of those friends OD’d and didn’t make it this year, one was incarcerated for so long for felony larceny and forged checks that he isn’t faring well reintegrating in society, the other caused the OD that took our friends life and she’s headed down the same path. I can’t help but wonder how I would’ve ended up if I hadn’t moved away. Could I have mothered them into better choices or would they’ve dragged me down with them? I count myself extremely lucky to have escaped the clutches of an epidemic that tears through poor rural towns. That’s not to say it isn’t happening everywhere but it’s particularly insidious where ppl are hopeless, bored and have no options in diversifying friend groups. There’s a part of their best uncorrupted selves that will always be safe and unchanged in my heart. Be good to your friends. Check in on them, be tough on them, show them unconditional love, make eachother better and play nirvana bc they could be gone tomorrow 🥺💕

I remember we would listen to Incesticide on tape and smoke fat sacks while lost on the dirt roads of the New Mexico desert. Many of my old school friends have also passed due to street Fentanyl. Just wanted to say that I hear and feel ya.

Not really, he simplified the riff when he performed live so the rythym wasnt as complicated. Its pretty easy to perform as long as drums are on time
