Thanks for going through all the hassle of making videos showing the shooting match. Your looking fit and healthy X-Ring. Not hanging around with Rick for the past 5 or 6 months has done ya a World of good lol.
Great job you guys & good go'n Ray, at 60-ex-smoker w/some ticker issues......Man do I know how tiring Matches are, & for me, I have to play catch-up for about 4-5 months over the winter with daily work-outs to get back on track from summer having long hours at work plus chores, (horses) & no time for good workouts. Keep on keep'n on !!!
That looks like a fun, complicated, stressful match! I'd love to do something like that some time, but I want to get some more matches under my belt for sure!! 😂 Best of luck on the rest of it guys!!
Lol, i wrote that halfway thru 🤣 Now getting to the 2nd day! Dude, had similar with my MDT bipod. 1st match, went to go to the line and saw some screws about to fall out!! Got tightened and then jumped into my 1st stage. It went bad, but got thru the jitters and did better rest of the day. Keep my tool kit in my backpack always! Found more loose screws after the match on it!! And now my mirage shield had 2 loose screws today when I got to my place to get some speeds with the Garmin. Always something to check and watch for!!
Ray, it was great meeting you over the weekend (my partner chatted with you some about his Prodigy). It's awesome that you've bounced back so quickly, and good luck this weekend at Sniper's Unknown!
Thanks VA Aggie! I know exactly who you two were. Well, kind of wink wink. Thanks again for watching and I hope to see you guys at the next match. Have a great weekend.
Sir what’s your advice on someone that is wanting to get into long range and get into elr matches? I’m currently saving up to build a gun that’ll literally be my first ever gun of my own. I have long ranges but they’re like 2 hours away from home and don’t really wanna travel all that way to practice when I get the rifle and start reloading. So I have no clue cause this is something I’ve been thinking for a while Ive talked to a few elr shooters that are seasoned pros. I wanna become a pro elr shooter and im not sure if I wanna make money on it because im not sure if they pay the shooters but if they do then it’s something I wanna pursue. Pls sir any advice would be appreciated. God Bless
Hello Zayne! It’s like that old saying, “You know how to make a million dollars in racing ?. Start with 2 million!” 🤣 Seriously, If you are getting into the sport to make money it will be a long and hard road. There is money to be made in the pro level shooting sports but it will rarely offset the costs and time involved getting to that level and that is if you have what it takes. Even with the best sponsors in the business and even if you are at the top of the game you won’t be making more than a really decent job will pay. Payouts are actually better in air gun competitions like the Rocky Mountain airgun comp but even so, if you win many different divisions at that there is only like 25k up for grabs. I hope that helps.
@@XRING thank sir that really helped. As I’m building this rifle I will ask the elr comp here in Virginia if they the shooters if not then it’s no big deal I just wanna be a pro at something and when I found at about competitive shooting I feel like it was that match that started the fire in my life. My favorite heavy class elr shooter is Rei Hoang she’s the woman that got me really wanting to do it after seeing a pic of her online and then looking her up on UA-cam. T
Having someone like Ray as a partner is intimidating by itself IMO. The ability to learn directly from him is undeniable
Lol “remember I’m not yelling I’m guiding” that was hilarious!!!!! That’s basically when dad tells you “im not mad I’m just disappointed”
🤣 oh man that is priceless!
Thanks for taking us along. Good luck at Snipers Unknown. Be Safe.

Thank you sir! I’m trying to eat healthy and stay busy for sure. Have a great week.
Thanks for bringing us along!

Awesome Guys & Thanks a bunch for so generously sharing.

Good luck next weekend! Snipers unknown looks wild. Will be looking forward to seeing the footage from that if you're able to film.
Nice 👍 looks like fun.
Thanks Joel! They said you were out there last year.
@@XRING yes sir. I wanted to be there this year too, but I decided to shoot a rimfire match with my son instead.
@@PrecisionRifleNetwork That’s awesome Joel. Ella doesn’t shoot much anymore.

Outstanding
Mr Ray you definitely have some of the best learn ya something skills while competing out there.
Much to do & learn through the course of the event.
Dang, had I known I would've driven just 50mi to watch this!
Assuming Arena allows spectstors, though.
They did allow spectators.
Go Ray
Great video. Ray, are you going to start using the Triggercam?
Thanks Santos I plan on using it on some reviews but I’m not sure if I will use it during a match

Hopefully neither of you had bad morning breath. Under that wooden deck with bad breath would be hateful!!!!!
First
It just hit me, Ray sounds like actor Chris Cooper from one of my fav movies October sky, very similar voice and accent
Ray...im watching u fail time and time again...u still didnt respond. Paper tagets dnt shoot back. That whole range set up was a waste of time.
