I never thought id find a channel that combines both competitive shooting and ancient history.
I really enjoy these vlog style videos as well as the match videos, and gear reviews.

Well Ray, should your interests span into other areas, such as a tour guide, or.....I hear Pat Sajak is retiring. It is grand that you mix it up. It helps with every venue when the hosts add flavor with a dash of extra. Learning anything along the path of living can and should be beneficial. Thank you sir. I am sure whenever you grace any range or outing with your presence, folks come away much richer just to have met you. Stay safe, easy on them stairs, especially, have fun.

Another great video good luck in the match. Had the opportunity to meet you at a long range class a couple of weeks ago. You gave me some advice on reloading, I purchased the trickler and it has helped with my consistency and SD's. Thanks again for the advice and please keep the content coming.

I havent stayed there since 3gun Nation Nationals, back in the day. The cabin you're staying in is much like the ones there on the range.

Good luck to you, Ray and Nick!! Looks like a fun and nice place to have this event. I'll be watching to see how things turn out for you both. I've got my next match next weekend on the 12th. Gonna be out to test some ammo and do a review on my Garmin after being rained out last weekend. Got 2 lots of different ammos to see what's gonna group better. Get some good speeds and get the data loaded to my Kestrel! Excited to try this next match. They said there will be a tripod stage, so I have a FatBoy showing up Monday. Crunch time for me to learn it. Get it in Monday and then take it out to get some familiarization with it and have some practice to learn the skills and movements to get the hang of it. But, will be fun learning some more things in this upcoming match. I do love to jump in deep and learn as I go!!
Really like the idea of this match you guys are at. Gonna be a good time I'm sure! Have fun and do well, guys!!!

For sure, but that’s the way I am. I also discussed this with Nick before agreeing to shoot the match with him. I really don’t beat around the bush and expect the same from others. 👍🏼

Just a heads up, I have worked on several savage 110 elites, and they all have had garbage action screws and most were galded, and some have had a grit in the threads. I would run a tap to clean the threads and get a high quality socket head action screw and some Nord lock washers. U will never have the action come loose with that combo.

Hey Major Camper, I had one that I’ve worn for a while. the Delta . My eyes are old and it’s tough for me to read the numbers without reading glasses. You can store targets the same way as the 901

Patreon just revamped their entire system a week or two ago.
I also provide my direct email to anyone that is a Patreon supporter. It was not intentional.

It’s been a while since I was at that range, lots of good training and shooting. We all stayed in the on site cabins. Looking at Google it seems some ranges are no longer used or support buildings are gone. Been to burial grounds, very cool

Heres the question again I sent on October 01. I screen shot it on patreon for ur viewing pleasure.
      Ray...
What do you think about Kestrel making a mini drone Kestrel that you could fly to say within 100yds of the target at distance...like 1200-1500 and it could relay real time data back to the Kestrel at the shooters location via radio waves (encrypted for military). A half value or quarter value wind call is made by the observer at his discretion or experienced judgement. This drone would give dopler-esque type readings which I think married up with the observer and shooter Kestrel could be much more accurate wind calls. Plus, most drones now are so quiet with good quality cameras u wouldnt see it or hear it...and u could also snap photos of the shot or target if your in a sniper hide for days on end. Whatcha think?@@XRING
