Very excellent unique plot, satisfying character development, perfect amount of concise description of environment & atmosphere. Narration with perfect tempo, pauses, emphasis & volume. Overall better than 18th & 19th century writers
You have the right mix of every element requisite for a gripping story. And I do mean gripping! Have you read a Christmas ghost story simply entitled “The Horror” about a young girl who rapidly ages overnight when encountering a ghost in her bedroom. Ruined by the interminable contemplative rumination by the main character…. Too much introspection & speculation but very little action.
I have to say, I haven`t. I believe that crafting an enjoyable story requires a strong imagination and the ability to go with the flow. When I write, I always immerse myself in the story, and I don't start with a specific plot in mind; I simply let the story develop more organically. Some writers tend to pad out their stories, which detracts from the pace and can prevent a satisfying conclusion.
I`ll write another tale tomorrow. 😀
Very good story . You should write a book containing your short stories. 😊❤
Thanks, Sylvia, really appreciated. Thank you! When I collect another stories I will
Another excellent story, loved the plot and architectural references, all very creative and creepy 😮, many thanks Chris 😊 tf

Thank you, Elizabeth. I wondered how well this story will do, and you have answered my concerns. Really appreciated. I will write another this week.

Wow, thank you! Really appreciated, Kathy. 🙂
It's a wonderful story, Chris. Great job, as always. I enjoyed the inclusion of the man writing on parchment at the very beginning. Thank you.♥
Glad you enjoyed it, Lorraine! I`m pleased you like the new intro. 🤗
