- Here we go again..... Aracde1up youtubers working behind the scenes to secretly control the flow of information for nothing more than to increase their view and sub count. oh boy strap in this is going to be a bumpy ride.

I'll admit, I do enjoy a James Hates Everything stream. He's one of those people who will interact with the chat, the only reason I take the time to watch something live. HOWEVER, I was on this stream, and once the story behind the leaks were revealed, I was so incensed that I stopped watching. First, I was already making a sacrifice because Cornercade was on the show, I just don't care for his scruples or commentary, which I've spoken to Cornercade directly about. Not that I harbor any ill will towards Cornercade as a person, but I straight up told him why his stuff turned me off. I sent him a comment on one of his videos letting him know I didn't like his beg'y way of always trying to be the center of attention, ALL OF THE TIME, and begging to come on everyone's streams. His response to me was he was aggressively trying to grow his channel. Then I sat in on a couple of Cornercade's streams and understood what he was all about, begging for money from his audience. After hearing him say "superchat" even more than the word "Arcade1Up" during one of his livestreams, I was out and unsubscribed.
As for James, this incident is definitely a bad mark. In fact, I'm very careful when choosing which videos or streams of his to watch now. Anything having to do with news or rumors is off the table. In fact, the last thing I watched of James Hate Everything was a live stream where we were ranking cabs from the 1980's. Something that wouldn't have anything to do with shilling.
I admit, I'm not the norm when it comes this platform. Subs, views, likes, etc. aren't a motivating factor for me. In fact, you won't hear in any of my videos asking for any of it. My goals are just to connect with people and share. And the only thing I want personally is just one single view on a video, nothing more. I feel if I'm going to take the time to post something, I want at least one person to experience it. Everything else is a bonus. And I'm not saying subs, views, and stuff like that are bad, I appreciate when they happen, but I just think it's folly to try to chase numbers, because it isn't a real measure of a man, and no number will ever be high enough to satisfy.
I like hearing your thoughts on this incident and I hope it serves to keep people vigilant and hopefully ones who have manipulated for ill-gotten gains in the past, might turn over a new leaf someday.

I'm glad I discovered your channel to go along with PDubs. You seem to be a straight shooter too. Your Retro Shooter/Buy Stuff Arcade coverage is a good example.
I honestly don't understand why people have such a Hard on for these 1up cabs when a lot of these games for a few hundred dollars more you can have the real thing and not a junk emulation box with a lcd screen.

What’s sad is the guys who have regular day jobs still find time to play into this game where they are basically using UA-cam for scummy and greedy reasons instead of what you’d hope a human being would do and use it to share positivity or something helpful for the world. Some people have no perspective and just take daily breath for granted

Arcade1up is dead period....It was a nice little niche but the average person who are the ones who matter most will but ONE and only one if it interests them maybe two. But there are next to zero people buying 20 of these things. Nobody is really buying one every time something new comes out especially not at $300+ each. It was never a sustainable business, not at the cost of licensing all these cabinets.
People that live on UA-cam are nuts!
Honest question: who even cares what A1Up might or might not do anymore? Is there anyone left who actually buys the product?

Hey, I got a shoutout on Kevgret channel and didn’t even know it. Listen, Although I’m a fan of 1up and enjoy their products for what they are or were but at the same time, anyone with a clear mind can tell that group you speak of, are nothing more than a bunch of Humpty Dumpty’s sitting on their greed walls and it’s only a matter of time before they all fall. Their content has been boring, and it shows in their desperation to turn on one another by promoting misleading content. It’s a cutthroat business, make friends and meet up at conventions one minute, then the moment they get home twist the knife in their back and try to 1up each other as a result

None of these guys or anyone in the Home Arcade Community have a following of any real high volume of views or subs.
Even if the “illuminate” is real it’s nothing more than fun cause the community isn’t big enough to plot over.

PDubs as usual has the most honest, common sense, unbiased reviews of any home arcade reviewer I've seen; if a brand is good but makes a lemon, he has no problem calling them out. I could tell by his chat comments he was getting pissed how this makes him and other hardworking honest reviewers look by association. Can't wait to see what he says about this shit in his next video as he doesn't mince words. At 19:05 you can see the comment PDubs left, not a happy camper.
The problem is u can't trust anyone. Any more on you tube doing a reviews. Most reviewers get the product send to them. To review when something is given it has no value. Reviewers will just gloss over flaws and problems. Onless it so big they where they can't. If they buy some thing with there own money they will be more willing to give it a honest. review.
hey Kev, been awhile, this is really well done. Cheers to you. A1up is dead. As one of their biggest fanboys from 2020-2023, I haven't bought a cab in over a year and expect nothing from them in the future.
Meanwhile PD7 sitting there thinking this is why I rarely do live streams. Sorry just got to this video. Good job being the new Anti1up UA-camr UA-camr. The good news for them is you just help them get more attention. Also Arcade1up not going anywhere, but will not releasing anything exciting. This is why this kind of content dominates. There is no real news. I don’t care if they make up leaks, at least they trying to make entertaining content. i don’t think any of these leaks are real or ever were.

That stream with James and Danny was basically the end of 1Up for me, they were sharing all this fake stuff and I was just like ??????

I left the stream before that incident happened, but watching your video ended up giving me the courage to finally unsubscribe to the people in mind. I was absolutely tired of always giving superchats to these guys just to show off my rhythm game inventions for the home arcade community, and after watching this video I realized why I had such little screen time whenever I share a video of my rhythm game stuff. They don’t care about my rhythm inventions no matter how unique it is when you look at the 1Up groups having the same exact fucking mods like Street Fighter multicades and TMNT whatever.
Today I decided to put my foot down and just focus on getting my rhythm game shit done, I just hope whenever my time comes that I can actually get respect from these people and the community.
The only thing James hates is talking faster... his streams could literally be like 30 minutes long, but he talks so damn slow that they last three hours.

Don't need those useless arcade machine. I got me a retro system setup that comes with light guns and controllers for my classic games. Only cost me $300. I can take it EVERYWHERE, instead of leaving a big block at home taking space. Just saying
If u are happy with that great for u. Not everyone want that experience. I have arcade1up cab because I want a home arcade. That bring me back to the day when I when to a arcade. Playing arcade games in cab is a different experience from playing them on a switch, xbox,,ps, phone, tablet ect... you need to understand that every one is different with what with there arcade experience.

They were protypes arcade1up had made many years ago... no retailer picked them up so they went unmade.
Sadly nobody knows who to trust anymore, anywhere. At the end of the day though, my problem is with the guys who fake a persona of a trustworthy, ear to Arcade 1up or Atgames. ALOT of dudes rely on these guys for news and such. They watch these guys religiously. Huge betrayal of trust 🤷🏻♂️ anyways good shit Kev for calling out the behavior

I hate that I enjoy the train wreck that is the 3/4 community. 😂 At this point, I feel the only ones that should be surprised by these ut channels are newcomers to the community. Anyone that has been around should hopefully see what these channels are/have become, and are only watching because they find the person entertaining, and not watching for "news". These channels are a big reason why my YT viewing is very selective. This type of stuff is not only in the 3/4 home arcade. Either way, it's trash YT and even trash tv and trash Yt has an audience.

I have spent all over the place (Retroshooter, GRS product, Arcade1up, Pandora box, PC builds, Buy stuff store, rpeg electronics, game room solution etc.)
There is no focus on hate. Just enjoying the hobby. Some of your content is really positive. It's helped me here and there. I really hope you would focus on positive content.
I'm just not a big fan of the hate. I rather live in a world with the choice. If I get ripped off by any company, i will learn. The community doesn't need people like you calling people like me idiots for supporting a free market.
