Running Dobinsons springs with front struts from dobinsons as well and rear shocks are 41mm tough dog foam cells. works perfect for my heavy setup. 60k kms fully loaded
Great review thanks 🤙Done my NT back in 2014 and went with Tough Dog 2". These have been doing well over last 9 years, but definitely in need of replacement now. So your review was well timed and gave me some more things to think about 🙏😃
@dronepilot1333 I didn't think it was 5 cm increase. it was closer to 4 cm. As a measurement, from ground to bottom of side step, mine is about 35 cm. AT tyres at 36 psi and 60k of wear. But I get what you mean as I have heard of different heights experienced after lifts.
6-10mm spacer. It makes the car level 🙂💯 goes on top of the front struts. www.directsuspensions.com.au/products/wcs-strut-top-spacer-10-12mm-lift-pair?keyword=pajero%20strut%20spacer
Great update, so important to see the outcome. The extra information of brands and kits was priceless. My understanding is that from NW onwards had aluminum bonnet, (If anyone can confirm this is true???????). If true.... Currently wrestling with the weight gain of a steel bonnet, after alum replaced with steel due to hail. Trying to figure the FRONT springs required. 2 x bash plates, full alum bar, cb aerial, bar light and rod holder (small) I came up with 65kg front ( 10 kg extra for bonnet included) Rear...up to 150kg is adequate. If I'm on the border of 65kg on the front, and the spring is 0 to 65 what are your thoughts? (based on your setup)
Nice video! The question in my head is how can you SOFTEN the STOCK ride quality and have some beefier looks while at it? In essence, how can we have an effect similar to what Ford factory did to Raptor vs lesser F150 (beefier looks, and softer ride). I love my SWB Mitsu and love the stance on yours, but would want something that softens the ride not stiffen it. If you’re wondering, yes additional offroad prowess isn’t high on my list….
Hey mate! Yeah they definitely use high quality shocks specifically tuned for that ride so you'll have to find a servicable shock and take it to a shop that can modify it for your needs 🙂💯
Hi mate.. whats the good Lwb spring.. is lovells good? Just for comfort no bullbar and load. My first option was Bilstein but after watching cant decide as im in Sydney
Hi Guys, im form Saudi Arabia and I would like to share my experince have pajero 4 Doors 3.8 (Not the small one) and I use suspension system from Dobinsons, and I don't recommend the dobinsons twin tube its not bad at all and its verrrrrrrry great for heavy duty but in the same price u can find something more better , But the coil Springs are more than great .
I would like to ask if i could just put a For example ironman Coil Spring and use Original Shock absorbers. The car is pajero 4 series 2011 driven mainly on road less offroad
I'm looking at koni Raid 90/88 in the front/rear. Does anyone have any experience with these and what springs may be best? I have heard of koni mostly in racing that they're very good but don't know how the raids go
@@budget4x4life that's OK. Maybe you can help. Me with another question. I am seriously looking at the dobinsons you mentioned as well, especially the remote reservoir option. Will the remote reservoir model fit to a NX LWB? Is there a spot to mount the reservoir securely inside the wheel arch? Sorry if you don't know the answer I'm just genuinely chasing the best performing long lasting suspension I can get.
It seems to be a good brand. I would give it a go, just find out what the warranty is, the shock's bore size and if they have the spring ratings you're after 😊💯
@@PAJEEE_PLAY ...yeah back sits higher...perfect for us as we tow.....but we have taken the car over all sorts of terrain while traveling around aus and it did it easy.....
@@richardwolski5899very comfortable suspension for sure , I think he previously towed his camper has redarc etc , I'm looking to put a winch on with new steel bar but was seeing what options I have
Comment down below what suspension kit you are running and if you are happy with it!🔥 Cheers for watching Legends 💯
Have you tried eibach on the pajero?

Been running the Dobinsons monotubes for a year now and love them would recommend them any day 👍🏻

Glad we could help mate 🙌🏼
I’ve been running webco foam filled 44mm bore for 12 months no issue at all.
Great to know mate!🔥 I guess there's just bad batches now and then aye!
What's the best suspension for comfort?
New video coming soon that will explain better 🙂💯
I have the same question. I'm looking for a comfort kit for a Montero Sport G2-2010.
Howdy,
Would you say the west coast set up is more comfortable than stock? I actually find the stock set up pretty stiff
West coast was very comfortable 💯
Hey mate , Great Review where did you get your 10mm spacers
Thanks mate! Email me and I can get you a set 🙂💯 info@budget4x4life.com

@@budget4x4life I am loving the SWB Gen 4. We never got that generation here in the U.S.
@itsaboutfam ahh that sucks!! Yeah it's very unique I love it 😜

Great information thank you. Will certainly look into the West Coast set up. Cheers😊
Cheers mate. Selling them soon so let me know if you want a deal 👌🏼🙂
Hey, you're running 275/65/18 wildpeaks..does that tire fit on the rear wheel carrier as well?
Yes I am💯 not too sure mate tbh as I have a different size in there. I think it will be a tight fit
@@budget4x4life oh okay, what should size do you have in there?
@Ark Hurdler I need the same size haha but haven't bothered with it yet. Still standard size in holder😬
I can't seem to find any info on what tyre and wheel size you run with your 2" lift ?
Can you let me know please.
Hey mate yeah sorry haven't made a video about it. I run 275 65 18 Falken wilpeak Atw3 tyres along with CSA Raptor wheels that are +25 offset. Cheers
