Those horses will be sitting in a dusty box five years from now ! You two have such patience
LOL watching that woman reduce the value of that horse by ripping the box apart. Some people think things are the same as when they were younger. We all know the collectors want the box even if it is damaged.
She ripped that box and the look on his face made me LOL.
She's had those Breyer horses collecting dust and now she acts like she values them🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love watching you two!!
Yes they're so valuable to her that she forgot about them lol
Those are sadly going to keep sitting gathering dust.
She will never sell her stuff at the rate she is going!
She does in her own way. There is clearly some hoarder behavior here and it should be dealt with appropriately...I'm sure all of that "stuff" means something to her.
@@jpeltr1 Absolutely! I tried to help a "hoarder" type person with his yard sale. He kept putting higher prices than would sell and deciding things were his favorite and removed them from the middle of the sale while in progress. Never again!! These people are hell to deal with.
What a rude seller , you did nothing to offend her, so glad you walked away ! Kx
You two are such a lovely couple and you always have so much fun together. Great to see. God bless you.
That lady had nerve! Then she rips the box apart. And then asks Matt to carry it back to the warehouse? 😮 You two have the patience of saints.
I think y’all to sweet I’d left it sitting right there
@@susanfontaine3721 That's what I said, too. She wanted to act like a child then the game is over. Put it back yourself.
You two are such good examples of “ real patience”. Good job!!
Matt was traumatised by the box-pulversing lady 😂
@@empireofpeachesHeck.. I was traumatized! You guys are saints for sure!
It's a hoarder situation. They will Never change. Sorry you both experienced that. ✌️
Sitting in the doctors office cracking up over Matt’s “smells like death “comment!
Matt and Kayla your patience with the horse lady was awesome. I was over it as soon as she wanted argue….
I love when they bring the Christmas out for you!
Christmas and Easter are my favorite holidays.
Mine too! ❤
I’m a horse person. Let me tell you, some horse people are cray- cray 😜
I love horses!! 🐴🐎
Haha I’m a vet nurse and will attest to that!!! Lol also some complete darlings.
😂
Starting a drinking game, every time you say “That’s crazy” take a shot
Love you guys 😅
You know you’re talking to an unreasonable person when they don’t know the value for an item and throw out their own random value “$60 that’s what I think”, walk away after hearing “that’s what I think” because that’s a person that values their things more than anyone will ever care to pay.
I grew up with those types of Christmas decos. Circa, 1960 - 70's. Those are in great condition for over 50 yrs old. Lucky! 😃
Even though the ornaments aren't marked people may love them because they remind them of Grandma and Grandpa house
I'm a longtime, serious collector of Breyer horses. I most likely wouldn't have hesitated to pay $150 for that lot (as long as I could verify that the boxes at least somewhat protected the horses so that they weren't trashed.)
Most Breyer collectors don't care too much about the boxes, with some exceptions. It's more about the condition of the horses themselves. A box can certainly add value to an extent (particularly on very old models), but most collectors prefer to display their models out of the box on shelves.
She was focused on that polo pony for some reason, but there were other much better models in that lot (Seattle Slew, the fox hunter set, Hopalong Cassidy's Topper). I even spied her handling what appeared to be a boxed Equitana Amerigo (at about 27:45), a pretty desirable horse that I'd love to own.
Anyway, I'm speaking as a collector who'd be thrilled at that deal, not a reseller, so I don't blame you for passing. I just wish I had been at that sale. hah.
I do hope the poor horses see the light of day sometime in the near future. They deserved to be admired by a collector who will enjoy them, instead of gathering dust in a barn.
Just keep in mind your deal of $150 is great but then she would have kept removing items from the batch of horses as she did Matt and Kayla. She's a hoarder and isn't capable of letting things go. She would have changed her mind about the $150 once you said ok. So sad that those horses probably will never be enjoyed by anyone until she dies.
@starshootervr-ux2fw and then her kids might not want to deal with any of it and either have an estate auction or just throw it away
I don't think people need to badmouth the seller....she's obviously knowledgeable about the values that people get on Ebay for the Breyers in boxes, popularity, etc., and still doesn't want to let them go. Maybe she had a relation whom she loved that died and she can't emotionally part with them; maybe she felt threatened by a younger generation scrolling on their phones and only equating the value to the highest dollar value that they could get on Ebay, and maybe she wasn't "feeling" good vibes from the potential buyers which made her chase them away.....we don't know, but quit skewering the Seller just because you watch the buyer's vids all of the time.....the buyers ALWAYS want a good deal or they walk away; so the Seller can just walk away, too! She OWNS them; it is her right to decide!
Kayla, you didn't do or say anything wrong, she's just a crotchety old woman who's miserable with the world! You & Matt are ALWAYS so kind and sweet at every place you go. Grrrrrrrrr I wish I would have been there, I'd give a lil' Italian tude!!
I just love when they think they can just sell it on eBay!
Well they can that’s what these people are doing 😂
omg I couldn’t believe the horse lady ripping the box!
Items are only worth what someone will pay for them regardless of what they’re listed for on eBay or what she paid for them! And I love how she decided that you couldn’t afford them.
Those horses are still probably sitting in that warehouse 😬
You two are a LOT nicer than me. 😂😂😂😂I wonder what she would think watching herself on UA-cam!🤐😉
I'm impressed with Kayla's explanation of the hunting vest. Both of you just continue to impress me with your knowledge and your manners. What a great couple you two make. Just keep on Pickin and stay "Real". 💚 💚
Don't you just love when they think it's worth so much more than it really is...not. And i doubt she is going to sell them on line! You are so patient, the both of you!
I love that Matt and Kayla don't argue with them about stuff like that,I see a lot of resellers arguing
I would have walked away when she said 100 dollars 😅😅 for one. They were filthy 😅😅
Who does that thou? If you can't get your items ready for sale, that's on her...what a joke
I don’t like people watching over me while I shop.
It's so annoying. It makes you want to ask. So are you going to research them, take photographs, package them, post them, store them until they sell, print out your label or wait in the post office in line, drop them off, make sure that they arrive safely, of course. First, you have to set up an eBay account and deal with the payment processor, you're also losing a percentage. People don't understand the work it takes.
"Cough to the next one" 😂
You have a sense of humor even when you're sick. Take some time off and rest and enjoy each other's company so you can get better. We need you well for garage sale season.
I am right there with you - on the "offended" woman. So many times we have encountered people who are NOT prepared to sell their things - or they only look at listed prices and NOT actual solds. I would SO like to educate - but then, keep my mouth shut as I remind myself they are not interested - the objection they give isn't an opportunity for negotiations. LOL!
That woman didn't remember they were in her barn and hasn't thought of them since the day she bought them. lol probably got donated. Ah I don't get people sometimes for goodness sake let someone else enjoy them she will never sell them live or on e bay.😊
Kayla is so patient looking through everything. I enjoy watching both of you together, nice pleasant relationship. TYVM
A lot going on today in this video. So glad you walked away the Bryer horses. Kind of reminds me of hoarder mentality.
For sure a hoarder. Hoarders’ mindsets tell them their things are more valuable than what anyone else in the whole world says. It’s tough reasoning with them (near impossible) and I do feel bad for them, they are the only ones who can change their thinking if they don’t want to be a hoarder anymore.
I collect Breyers. New in box doesn’t affect value as much as you’d think. Most collectors prefer theirs out of the box, but in pristine condition. Short mold runs, limited Decorator models, and ones with special paint jobs are the high ticket ones. Some of the most expensive Breyers sell for the price of a new car. That lady treated those models terribly.
Glad to know the saddle purses are worth something. I have a large one, that was bought in Mexico 40+ years ago
I like how you guys use your manners all the time!
My stress levels go up when you go to estate sale and EVERYTHING is suppose to be for sale, until the person says they want to keep items because they realise how much they can get.............so don't put them in the sale then!!!!!! You both have so much patience 😇
It's usually that they THINK that they are worth more than they are actually worth..unfortunately.
LOL - I was yelling at my computer screen - JUST WALK AWAY! I couldn't believe it when she tore apart that box like that - too funny.
Me too!!!!
I didnt think it was funny when she tore up box . She took away the value boxcould be cleaned up
The box was torn in the top left corner anyway, but she seemed upset after it fell off the top and got mud on it. Seems she was trying to prove her point, but failed.
There are two different bakers that Girl Scouts uses for their cookies. The names of the cookies differ depending on which baker they’re from. Same cookie different name, different baker. Some states/service units use one baker, and the others use the other baker. 20:37
The way he communicates with you with his eyes in certain situations always cracks me up.
HI M&K, MY DAD USE TO HUNT PHEASNTS. HE HUNG HIS VEST IN THE MAIN CLOSET. AGNIST MY MOMS "PLEASE HANG YOUR VEST UP ON THE GARAGE". AFTER A SUCCESSFUL HUNT. HE HUNG HIS VEST IN THE MAIN CLOSET. HE FORGOT A PHEASANT IN THAT BACK POCKET. IT STANK SO BAD. YEP, HE NEVER BROUGHT THE VEST INSIDE THE HOUSE AGAIN. 😉
Such a cute story / memory . I bet your mom knew that would happen one day down the road and that's why she wanted it in the garage 😂 smart momma
Haha love that story. I left an egg in my raincoat pocket once and it didn’t rain again for ages…trying to find what the smell was and where it was coming from was a comedy in itself!!
😂😂😂
Oh my!! 😂
@@deleila_charlie2068😂😂 really? That’s what you hang your hat on? Your life must really suck
People who get attached to their things, won’t sell very many items.
I agree. I was thinking that she just might be a hoarder.
It’s an awful disease/addiction.
I agree..She was a little rude. They are too very nice to deal with ppl like that. Luckily Matt was there though.❤❤
Kayla, when the lady ripped the Breyer box: "Savage". 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes they use that back pocket if u will on that hunting vest for small game. Rabbits, squirrels, birds, etc.
Bonus Sales always puts a smile on my face ❤
28:41 Don’t you want to say… THEN SELL THEM YOURSELF… and now that you took them out… put them all BACK! LMAO
Christmas ornaments remind me of my grandmothers, great finds. Wow the estate sale where the lady trashed the one box, what the heck😮.
Been watching you two for a little while now. Kayla's knowledge of Christmas tree ornaments and various "dust catchers" is truly amazing along with Matts knowledge of hats, t shirts and gaming items is impressive Gotta add too that Kayla always has those polished and well manicured hands.
I really like how you shop then recap at the end. Nice to see what your final asking price is. Also seeing what you paid and your estimate. Keep up the great blogs.
The horse lady needed a happy meal!
I love watching your videos but got really excited over the Arkansas sweatshirt! I live in Arkansas and have a 4runner almost identical to yours. 😅 Also just went to Kentucky for the first time last week. We only went as far as Bowling Green but I was amazed at how clean and well kept the whole city was. Unfortunately I didn't get to do any thrifting while there, maybe next time!
Good luck on selling them breyers...I got a bunch..still for sale...mine from 1970s..
Y’all are the best examples!!! I’m so glad y’all left those Breyers there. 😅
She has no intentions on selling she’s just not able to let go of her stuff. Sad.
She didn't want to sell them , She just couldn't reach them. People are going money crazy about eBay prices. Miss the old rummage sales , $1, $2, Or $3 Dollars for a item. Those days are gone forever. 🥺🥺
❤❤ 3:49 4:04
Not understanding your reply. ( 3:49, 4:04) 🤔🙏
Good idea to walk away from the Breyer
Feel better you two.....
The morning mist, though cold, is beautiful.
Kayla and Matt. Makes me so so happy. The things you choose together is much fun. I am so happy the profit you both earn you deserve it. Keep up the xcellent work.
I pray you and your family are safe . Hearing tornados were in your area today, Tuesday 2nd .God Bless .
Oh no!! I love Bob Evans! 🤣😂 I lived in KY for 20 years! My kids still live there. I live in WI now 😊
I think Kayla and Matt both have colds! They are so cheerful and patient even though they might not be up to par!😊
"our mortgage" it's great watching happy people
Many years of yard sales I learned you just say thank you and keep it on a push..
Personally, I think you did the right thing walking away from those boxed horses...there was no way that woman was going to do a good deal and feel happy and they were not worth bothering over...you would have made your money but they were not THAT valuable...IMO...she will probably end up being stuck with them or have to get rid of them for much less than you offered
So true.
The tree and silent night ornaments are from the 40s 50s. I had the set that was my parents first ornaments but got trashed when my basement flooded and I was out of town.
You all are better than me.
When I go thrifting and people say: "they're asking $whatever on Ebay", I am quick to reply -- "but what are they selling for?" Sometimes they don't know or realize what they are seeing on Ebay and what it all means..
My dad use to say "askin' and sellin' are two different things".
Also they don’t have millions of people looking at an item like eBay does…👍✌️😀😀😀😀
Just say well sell them then.😂
Omg! That lady was ridiculous! You really kept your cool! 😊
Poor Mat, sounds like you have a cold. Get better soon. On further watching Kaula sounds sick too.
I keep laughing at both y’alls sniffing!!!!! Yay Boogies!!!! All those ornaments you got at the first stop were exactly like the ones my mother and father had for their tree when they first got hitched. They are just so beautiful!!!! Good finds today!❤
You could just NOT watch 😮 Or complain 😡 You could just frequent the nose blowers 👃Remember, you can pick your friends 😉 you can pick your nose 👃 but you can't pick your friends nose 😂 Cheer up lifes to short for such trivial negativity 😇💙
@@angelove4u936 It would be better for you if you didnt act like you know who I am. I put nothing negative in my comment. Oh, and BTW…..my friend allows me to pick her nose so that theory does not work on me.
😂
People dont understand just because you paid lets say $100 for something ,doesnt mean it went up or stayed rhe same in value. Yes alot of stuff does but not everything
The horse lady reminded me of watching Hoarders - the way she destroyed that box and then said she could still sell it for $90.... She's not having a yard sale, she's having a "I priced everything crazy high so no one would buy it" sale.
Hope your gonna be okay…. I heard this morning that Kentucky is under possible tornado watch 😢🙁 stay safe!!
The women is also going by the listing price. No way she will sell any of those before she has to move. You almost need a card rxplaining all of that. Everyone seems to think its easy.
Plus does E Bay take a percentage?
Kayla, those small ornaments will be perfect for a mini Christmas tree. Wonderful find!
It’s unbelievable how your helping clean out her stuff and then they want to keep them after you find them it’s happened to me found things they didn’t even know they had lol
YES Syracuse fan here!! Love you two!!
It was better you just walked away from the horses. I don't think she would have received you well. Take care of your colds guys!
I love those stockings. They look like the lands ends ones I got for my grandkids with their names on them.
As a needle pointer. They were definitely china made, sold through a place like that. Still nice, but yeah…
I’ve always called them Samoas and I live in Virginia. My mother lives in Tennessee and she calls them Samoas. We are from Virginia and both live near the Kentucky border.😊
Hope you guys get to feeling (& breathing) better! Colds suck! Love the ornaments!!
Your weather is reminding me of home. SCOTLAND❤❤❤. Keep grinding crazy kids.
I fainted when they brought out all that vintage Christmas! That stuff sells so well. It’s surprising.
Kayla your all out laugh made my day!! So happy for you. (I know, creepy mom message..🤣) Those that wish you and Matt the best enjoy the happiness that exudes from you both! Oh to be in LOVE! You both deserve each other!❤
Trigger was Roy Roger's horse. He did tricks and was beautiful. Roy had him stuffed when he passed away. Dale Evans, Roy's wife, horse was names Buttermilk. She was beautiful as well.
Love watching you together. So sorry you have a bad cold 😢
You had me laughing so hard when you stepped on something and didn’t want to know what it was.
Me too!
Gosh that mist is so heavy i thought it was snowing at first
I still have my saddle purse, the large one. Purchased in Bend, Oregon in 1977.
Oh my God!! That woman will never sell those horses on ebay!! She was so aggravating!
Yall have more patience than me, I would have walked off from all of that long time ago!!! If she didn’t want to sell them she should have said so from the beginning instead of wasting your time! I hate when people do that at yard sells.
OMG You we’re the bird dog! How cute KAyla! You go girl! Love to watch you two together shopping ! Love your vids
The lady selling the horse's, mad that she had them collecting dust for years
That lady was a savage. She won't ever get what she paid for that one.
You were very patient with this woman. Very annoying lady.
Thank you so much! You are working in your ministry gal ❤
Satin balls for the Christmas trees were very popular in the 70s
I remember making the satin balls with sequins, glass beads and pearls with my mom in the 60’s. She is 89 now and still has them in perfect condition. Heck, she still has lead tinsel. Which of course she no longer puts on her tree.
@@barbaracheatham692 yes me too. My Mom is 89 as well. I have a satin ball snowman she made.
Just listening to the news ( I’m in the uk) before I go to sleep and I see the tornado is heading for Kentucky. I am praying for yours and all those affected safety. Loads of love K🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Oh gosh. You two are so patient!!!!! She wasted your time
Leave that sale fast!!!
You should have picked up those horses, that Hopalong Cassidy goes for over 200 by itself.
Feel you guys on the Breyer horses. Went to a sale over the weekend and found a bunch of snes games and consoles in the box brand new dusty of course but they didn’t want to sell.
Love the Breyer horses! I bought one from you before!
I had to convince myself that it wasn't foggy outside at my place. This video was great. The lady at the xmas decor spot enjoyed Kayla.
Breyer Horses! I just bought 9 of them at our local Goodwill in Pa. $2.24 each 2 weeks ago. I think it was you Kayla that was talking about them awhile back in a video. When I saw them on the shelf I knew they were special because of that video! I sold all but 2 and gave those to my granddaughter
Always look forward to y’all’s videos! My favorite by far!❤️
the first "bonus" sale had amazing treasures!
