I'll say this in reply to your comment... it's called Southern Charm and Hospitality and when any tourist comes to my state (East Tennessee) they never want to leave us and half fall so in love with the locals/natives that they eventually move to East Tennessee. So her helping that lady is the norm for southern people.❤

I disagree. It's all in the way we were raised. Us Southerners call any age dear, hon, sweetie, and other forms of endearment. As long as they are used sincerely, it's all okay. If you knew more about Kayla, you would know she was practically raised by her grandparents, in a home with a big magnolia.tree in the front yard, and the older generation hold a special place in her heart. She sincerely thinks of older folks as being dear. It's okay Kayla, just be yourself. You are a gem.

That lady was just the sweetest! Omgoodness and wanting to give you stuff for free for helping, wow! Some Awesome finds today. On those Christmas ones that didnt work, can you part out some of those pieces and make money on them? What awesome sales too! Way to go!
If someone wants to devote a little extra time examining the wiring, maybe it will turn out to be an easy fix. Also, sometimes in the process of putting away decorations, the cords get mixed up. Just because an adapter plug fits a receiving hole doesn't necessarily mean it makes the right connection. This is why I save adapters when I see them. Couldn't hurt.

You have no idea how much I needed y'all's videos today. I live in Maine not far from the mass shooting last night. The only thing on TV in all of our state is the manhunt for the shooter. I've been deliberately looking for my favorite UA-camrs that I watch everyday. Some are resellers like yourself and others are families that are wholesome and funny. I really appreciate your manners. I grew up following my parents to garage sales on the weekends and I would get truly offended for the homeowners/hosts who had to deal with the way some members of the public mistreated them and/or their belongings (helping themselves to unpacked boxes, pushing/shoving and rude remarks). I love that you asked before going through the boxes. I am still amazed at how some folks arrive and start tearing through things like they own the place. Thanks for sharing...

Kayla when you come across a box of handmade vintage ornaments like those dolls with beads and safety pens. Just ask how much for the box. Some people want to dump things and they are always valuable.

The Pyrex hot air balloon small bowl goes with the large one as a dip or relish bowl that can hang on a hook in the large bowl, very valuable because they are usually broken.

I would still see if you can sell those two Mr. Christmas sets. People look for replacement parts for old sets or have the ability to fix the wiring. If you offer them as not working for replacement parts I bet you can sell them. Just a thought. Also, that lady was stinkin adorable! Loved her and loved that you helped her!

Kayla: They are easy fixes on the ferris wheel. I fixed mine myself.. It was just a stretched band, I'm freaking out with that Christmas sale. I collect Christmas animated, nutcrackers and blow moulds. I have have a whole room full. Takes me two weeks to put it all up. I have the exact same Halloween knocker. I love the vintage ghost. My grandsons like to pinch my finger in the nutcrackers. They think it's hilarious! Wow, what a great ROI on everything!!! What a sweet lady you met and you were so gracious to help and give her a good price for her things!

When I saw that title, my heart sank and I thought you'd try to cheat an older lady on a pension out of normal pay. But then I read the comment section and you paid more, because you knew she was asking way too little. What a blessing that is to everyone's heart. Not some selfish brat, trying to outsmart a tired person. But a gentle heart, trying to make it work for both.
