Type O Negative and Lacuna Coil would have been an amazing show! Type O is my favorite band of all time, and I was lucky enough to see them 11 times, but I never saw them after '99. That sucks because I loved their last two records.

Delirium is a pretty great album as well. I do miss that time though, music was so cool them. Karmacode is probably my favorite LC album, although Dark Adrenaline and Delirium are close seconds personally. Also yes, she is gorgeous.

Looking at the comments on Lacuna Coil's videos I get the feeling that I'm one of the few people who actually like Andrea's voice. Maybe because I'm so used to hearing men growling and shouting it's just relaxing to hear a softer male voice accompanied by a lower female singer. In my opinion, their voices work just fine together, male and female voices don't have to always be hugely contrasted, sometimes it's ok for them to blend together like this.

This is my favorite era of Lacuna Coil, their first three albums are really good, especially Cristina Scabbia, her voice was so much more powerful compared to their later work.

It's nice to know that with all the crap music there is today there are still bands who know how to make good music.
There are plenty of more dynamic alt-metal bands that are less commercial than them. Try Opeth, Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, early Within Temptation. More melody than palm-muting and power chords and basically drumming on drop A 7-string. If you want to hear that "full" sound of Spellbound with more than just 1st/5th chords try Demon of the Fall by Opeth.
