Thanks for the tutorial! The part at 13:15 showing how the outer edges ending up in the center was especially helpful for me. I watched some other tutorials but I didn't really get it until I saw this.

OMG THANK YOU nobody talks about which corners go on there and once I saw those it clicked after a bit. Ty for saying that they don’t magically go together some of those tutorials made me feel dumb
Hahaha! You’re welcome! I almost pulled out my hair and ripped up several pieces of paper when I was trying these out! So frustrating! Plus I have to be told how to do things in slow motion! So glad you got it!!! Yaay!!! So what are you going to do with them?(I said “them” because they were so addictive to make!)!

These sorta remind me of the cootie catchers all the girls made when I was growing up, but your Valentine is different and cute with all your hand-drawn elements. If it were me and I was making a bunch for my friends, I would use rubber stamps. smile! The last tucking reminds me of how one folds in box flaps to close up a box without tape. Have you made a Zine? I doodled one, then photocopied enough copies for all my friends. It also folds and then there is a cut on a fold in the middle. I've watched several videos for it, but I believe Crafty Hodges has the best instructions.
YES! I'm obsessed with ZINES!!! I just made one for a trip we took (as a tiny scrapbook to put inside our big scrapbook). Your idea of a Valentine Zine is definitely something I am going to put into my idea bank. I'll send you one!!!

took maybe 30 minutes of random refolding and twisting to make the pinwheel but it did eventually "come together"@@KitchenCounterCrafts

thank you, and your tutorial helped a ton! I think extra-creasing and making sure the folds that made the square were perfectly even did the trick. probably just comes with practice too since that was my first one@@KitchenCounterCrafts

This is deLIGHTful! I appreciated your idea to make a heart in the center and the little flowers in the specific triangles to clarify aspects of this. In my search for "Victorian Puzzle Purse" I was drawn to you simply elegant and charming design..I will look at the other videos, But YOURS will be my "go to". WOOOO HOOOO!!!! That is the tricky part and no, it's not "magic" but hard work and lots of pause/play on video! Hahahaha! Once you get this, it's so awesome!!! Enjoy making them!
i can not get it to go into the pinwheel shape but i have all of the correct creases 😭
keep working!!! If you open it and just stare at the square in the middle, then hold the corners to kind of "massage" it into place, that is how I got mine to fold into a pinwheel!!!
