Thanks for your video sir really inspired me to rebuild my dad's car which have been sleep in the garage for many years, hoping that one day could fixed it. Much more to learn about this car before doing it
I look forward to seeing your father's car restored. Below is the link to the 190E maintenance playlist on my channel. ua-cam.com/play/PLG3xgQX6nH5hPNMj5Budz_tvJMz2I-8ZB.html
Thank you for posting this,I always thought my 190e was just struggling with fuel filters and pumps (changed them out roughly 2 times before searching about this.)
@@fizii_ If you have fuel smell see if there is fuel in the air filter housing. This is because the fuel diaphragm in the fuel regulator is leaking and the line at the other end (that looks like a thin plastic "air line" connected to the rubber tubing from the fuel regulator) is a safety feature to take that fuel into the air box housing. Change the fuel regulator.
Hi, thanks for your useful videos, they really helps a lot. On 1986, 190e 2.3, A/C compressor doesn't comes on, the voltage at lo pressure switch is 12.5 from relay, and other one is .02 (red/blue wires). What should be the voltage at lo pressure switch? Thanks
When cleaning the cold start valve and injector injection port, I first soak it in a cab cleaner or injector cleaner liquid. If that doesn't work, do ultrasonic cleaning. The ultrasonic cleaner I use is like the one used to clean glasses.
Hi you said to move the positive terminal 3 to the X11? What do you mean by that? Mine goes up to 9 only. Im lost , can you please explain it to me sorry
With a circuit tester (with a large internal resistance), you can check the air-fuel ratio and troubleshoot by applying positive to terminal 3 of X11 and negative to terminal 2. However, the specifications may differ depending on the production year and region. My car was manufactured in 1993 and is a Japanese specification.
@@MA-NYAN-garage Hi MA-NYAN. I have a Mercedes 190e 1987. why is my connection 3 on the X11 socket missing or not installed? Do you know of other ways for me to check the duty cycle without the X11 terminal 3?
It's easy if you have an exhaust gas concentration tester available at the maintenance shop. In the end, we are looking for the point where the exhaust gas concentration is the cleanest.

I'm glad that my video is helpful for your repair. Thanks for your comment.
@@MA-NYAN-garage good video, my 190e have no problem with the start, but have low idle at cold and die (500rpm), maybe the iac?
There are many possible causes for the problem. Careful inspection is required to determine the cause. The job will require knowledge and patience.
@@adrianogatti7328 In my case, that was caused by a leak in the air box housing, you should look for that,it may be the culprit.

Thank you for solving my problem. It was the cold start valve with rust that was causing my car problem to. Thank you a lot

hi. im thinking to get a 190e. should i avoid 2.3 8valve & get a later 2.0? thanks
If you are a competent mechanic, you may choose the high-performance model, but if you are a Sunday mechanic, we recommend the basic model.
hye great video, can u show us too, how did u polished the tip of the cold start valve? as im having the same issue too
thanks!

Is it a M102 engine?
Yes😉
Hi, i have a 190e 1.8, I did the voltometer test and it is stuck at 7v. Do you perhaps know what it means?
may be o2 sensor fail
@@MA-NYAN-garageThank you for your fast reply! I will look into that.
