KQo hand: Solver generally prefers a much bigger turn sizing after we xr the dry texture. 125 would be my standard, and this hand is right on the threshold, would only bet if I think V is very sticky and will find river bluffs. Solver is fine with betting KQo on turn to xc river but it mainly checks turn. If we bet turn, solver thinks river call is absolutely printing but I agree that it's not great. Villain needs to find every single A2s, A3s, A4s, 64s, Q3s combo, and also can't be jamming AK pure.
10000% agree with everything you've said here. i didn't mention this in the video but definitely wanna be using overbets ott. i think this hand just shows a real lack of range understanding. luckily it was 7 years ago :D
Yeah if villain is range betting flop then kqo is absolute monster on flop. Not looking to fold it. Cooler vs ako. I would say human more likely to call down light than find showdown bluff so id block river and then sigh call saying pot odds.
On the AK vs KQ hand. Will you get called if you jam the river given your check raise flop, and preflop aggression polarizes your hand to AK, AA, 888 or bluffs? The take away is from what i heard is that you’re polarized to KQ, KJ, AK or 888 arriving at the river with the check raise flop, big bet turn, but the check on the river turns your hand face up to KQ. If you blast the river repping 888 is that getting called 100%?
I can’t have AK and AA due to preflop! but yes exactly, because I’m in an aggressive line and then check (I’ll be folding a lot in theory), they get to jam AK quite happily!
@@BenaBadBeatPoker right, no 4 bet pre. 88 is not a 4 bet pre, so therefore the only remaining strong hand in your range and when you check river you have KQ all day. Thank you for the reply, much appreciated.
the last hand K3s bvb. isn't the Q really good for your range? since we rfi. high cards are gonna be better for your range than lower cards. the opposite to bu v bb for example
yoyo yeah you're definitely right but there are for sure other factors to consider. if ip is using single size otf then we prob have a range bet ott, but if splits are occurring, we likely end up having to check a decent amount of hands when ip is less filtered than us. as a general rule of thumb though, your heuristic is right
back in 2017 you could rely massively on attacking capped ranges. this is still very true for smaller stakes games toady! now you have to be a lot more regulated as the meta these days is that no one folds but people are still quite reluctant to bluff
54s - think jamming is actually an option blocking 65s. hard to have much better bluff combo there than that once we x riv, folding cannot be bad. maybe if guy is ool then calling makes more sense
Apologies if my comment seems hateful, just a general question... Didn't Pete Clark fail and forfeit a 100z challenge earlier this year? What entices him to think that he has the expertise to review 500z?
not hateful mate! he hasn’t finished his challenge yet due to preparing and launching his training site (among other things as I understand it). also my channel isn’t educational, it’s meant to be more entertaining oriented and I invited Pete on. I also believe that Pete certainly has the expertise to review 500z!
Thanks for having me on Ben. This was a lot of fun even if I didn’t feel remotely qualified to judge your play!
Great format would love to see more.
ty mate!
Reluctant sharing of Bena algorithm but doing so anyway because he's a stellar guy

This deserves a channel of you two guys.
