He is the Chief Coordinator for India’s G20 Presidency in 2023 and has previously served as Foreign Secretary of India and India's Ambassador to the United States, High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and Ambassador to Thailand.

He simply explained the working of the G20 Summit and how it originated from G7 and G8. Moreover, he talked about how Pakistan’s Economic crisis led to adverse situations in the country and how it has also affected its neighboring nations. d. Existentially hostile to India with a history of leaders making their way up in Pakistani politics, solely on merit of how bad they hate India right from Ayub Khan to Mussharraf

Yes, unnecessary chest thumping and vitriol should be avoided and true that we should focus on our own issues but Pakistan is also our own issue and it is in our best interests to understand and discuss what's going on there as long as it is with a sane, rational, and cool minded approach. 😊

Hi, I am from Pakistan. I highly regard the guest speaking things about Pakistan. However, things in beginning that Ranveer talked about (stealing food, chicken and dessert) were not factually correct. They were visuals from 9th May incident of a Core Commander House, where protesters had burnt places and vandalized army symbols in a wake of Imran Khan's arrest. Big respect for the show
As an Indian even I know the house that was burnt was if core commander and not a administrative officer. They have so much reach through youtube channel yet do t do basic sanity checks in reporting
The reasons that formed Pakistan were different from that formed India. The people residing in Pak are largely overall ok with the direction their country is taking. That does not mean some people do not want to reach much higher than where they are today in terms of economic growth and other parameters. But do they want it badly enough ? I don't think that is of highest priority for them. And those are their choices as a group of people. I am not sure why Indians are obsessed with Pakistan's economic growth. India's desired growth still needs lots of efforts. It would be desirable if India focusses inwards towards their own growth rather than discussing how Pakistan should have better economic policies 🤭
@@iracture Hi, I beg to disagree with you on a point of 'Pakistanis being okay with what is happening inside the country'. The narrative is factually incorrect. Just in last year, more than three hundred thousand Pakistanis, mainly professionals, have left the country due to the pertinent political crisis and economic turmoil.
What you missed to identify was, Pakistan has a vast majority of people of different religions, ethnicities, and belief systems. With four provinces, ideologically indifferent from each other, it is absolutely difficult for such an administration (that was poorly brought in power) to bring all at one place. So the divide is visibly wide. Then, comes center-provinces vindication... Later on, the civil -military where the latter has implicitly or explicitly been in power.. these dynamics are even worse than those of Afghanistan, but we have always an opportunity that is amiss however. Therefore, making such statements about Pakistan is little injustice to its people.
@@yourrmeet but you missed reading the key word of my comment namely - "largely". Naturally in a country with so many different cultures there is bound to be difference of opinion(s). No one is saying all that people of Pakistan are ok and celebrating what is happening. But are there enough citizens who are driven for a change in Pakistan. I think you can answer that question better. From my view point I will continue to hold that critical mass of population wanting change is not available in Pakistan. I hope a viewpoint will not result in Pakistani citizens feeling that they have been served injustice - that is not my intention i am afraid. Largely they are ok with what is happening is my view. India is not doing badly for itself actually. But yet many more students/professionals leave India every year in search of greener pastures in a globalized economy. I think migration and restlessness is in blood of many South Asians. I will also add from my understanding Pakistani is not a place where business houses would have thrived. The structure of the country is not very capitalistic friendly and that is by choice I believe rather than forced helplessness. They view wealth/resources etc from different eyes as a culture. There are very few cultures there that believe in business like Indian's Marwaris/Parsi section for example. I think you must be proud of your country and support it in its growth..Everyone gets there.. some fast some slow..but you will get there.

It wasn't a civil services officer (Pak), it was the Core Commanders house, which was ransacked and plundered while he and his family disappeared. These acts were egged on by Mr Imran Khan's multiple TV broadcasts and public rallies leading upto the events of that day..

Real reason was none of these ... Pakistan doesn't have any manufacturing or service industry basis last few decades it thrived on Foreign Aid plus printing illegal Indian currency.
Pakistan had a security press in Press in Peshawar which used to print Indian Currency in 3 shifts .
Indian currency Demonitisation was a nightmare to Pakistan and one of their biggest profitable revenue channel vanished out of thin air. There after Pakistan never recovered from the crisis.

I live in Ireland and people here love India and indian culture.
People ask me where I am from, I reply India. Then they ask, where in India. When I say Bengaluru / Chennai / Delhi - they understand what that place is.
They know what north and south India are. They know the food and spirituality and Hindutva.
Many of them have been to India and stayed there for few months.
Some white countries do see India as a positive force.

As a Pakistani, I found this person to be quite honest. However, I believe that their point of view about Pakistan is not entirely correct, but I agree with a large portion of their overall conversation
What point on Pakistan did you think was incorrect. He spoke very little about Pakistan and sounded sympathetic to issues beyond their control.
Pakistan has a governance issue for generations. Elected leaders reporting to unelected generals and that is usually the end of democracy.
