I was a tire tech with Monro Muffler for 4 years did tires, rims, oil changes and all the light duty stuff. Its a hard job but it doesn't pay well, to me it didn't I made $13 an hour and it was rough at times. Much respect for you man.
Try 8 years commercial tire tech doing all the heavy stuff ..obvs the pay sucks but you got 13 an hr cause that's all your worth was making 25 an hr and doing lots everyday

Guys very new obviously.. would make you run outta my tire shop been a commercial tire tech for years you would run home to your mom after one day working with me think doing a passenger truck tire is hard huh lmao do a 18 tire change over in 15min for 10 hrs super singles and a bunch of tractor tires you'll need heavy machinery for ..😂😂 you kids make me laugh
This job isnt that hard when u have been there for some time. But in the beginning it is. When your only responsibility is lifting and washing the tires. 😂
yeah i did this for 2.5 years? when i was 22-24 or so. there was a lot to know at the start but when you're there a while you get pretty good at it lol. when you start and they have you only cleaning the hubs with the brush or bagging tires/bringing in cars lol! but the aftermarket rims could be really annoying sometimes!
@@CodCats8 years commercial tire tech started when I was 15 done other jobs as well slaughter house landscaping etc 2.5 years is nothing doing passengers tires come do sets of 18 commercial in 15min or less for 10-12hrs and then talk to me ..😂😂
costco's a great company to work for. if you have any experience doing this they'd really love to have you, a lot of new people have no experience at costco's in canada, you don't even need any formal education

You made it look alot harder then it is. The hardest part is lifting the rim and tire up. Ive done plenty. Use some lube, even while dismounting.
