I agree, I've been trying to figure out which resin to make jewelry with. I've been using EnviroTex Pour-On. Sometimes it stays sort of soft, no matter how accurate I try to be with pouring weight and mixing, it's just never consistent for me.
This stuff would be really interesting on its own, but the character and the jokes and the overall style are such a nice bonus that I think I'd watch this even if I had no interest in art.
Oh man yes! I've actually been making custom figures for a long time. Kitbashing has a whole community on sites like FigureRealm, its a great resource for beginners looking for tutorials.
Same hobbies here, but I also put in a lot of discarded materials into mine 😀 it's a really fun thing to do! You're only limited by your imagination! 👍
The only problem with Craftsman's videos is that his voice is so soothing and perfect to fall asleep to, but you can't just not pay full attention to the video because they're all wonderful and engaging
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It's one thing seeing people make these things online. It's another when the Crafsman teaches us how. You, sir, are awesome. Oh, & we love you too!
Crafsman your music is banging. Please make more music and maybe a video about your music. I would definitely listen to a crafsman playlist on my way to work or when ever I need to get my creativity flowing. You make such purely enjoyable videos. It’s makes my day when I see a new crafsman video.
Hahah Crafsman, remember how COOL we thought those 90s figures were? First of all that was the first time Toys R Us did a midnight opening, that was like "yes, we get that adults like toys too, here you go." And we were like "whoooaoaaa, they’re all action looking, so much better than the originals!!!!!”. Of course now, we don’t have that same feeling...
I'd be super keen to hear about different resins! For ages, I would get down on myself when I started to do any craft because I felt like I needed a big outcome (eg to sell my art etc) for it to be worthwhile. With every video, you remind me that the joy of crafting is the only outcome that is required. Thank you!
I think methods like kit bashing and your method of mixing and matching is the kind of inspiration we need now and days thanks for making this video I really enjoyed watching you make a Frankenstein figure.
Listening to TheCrafsMan is the most soothing, inspiring thing to happen to craft tutorials in ages. He's like the ASMR Bob Ross of crafting. He just gently encourages you to do All The Things and it's chill if you don't have a clue what you'll make going in. Thanks for fueling my crafting habits, CrafsMan.
Hey Crafsman, just wanted to let you know you inspired me to try needle felting and I love it! I've also been on a general crafting kick since I found your channel, doing various types of craft kits as well as more of my main hobby, nail art. You've really inspired me. Thank you. ❤️
Thank y'all for the suggestion! I have to say, there's not TOO much to it - I just have these sample libraries I've purchased over the years, which I put together in my audio program, "Reaper". The libraries used in this video are "Vintage 70's Breakbeats" and "Stranger Synths". In previous videos, I've used Commodore 64 and Nintendo samples. :)
My heart jumped out of my chest when that black suit Adventure People alien dude came on screen! I had that growing up but never knew where it came from! It's like seeing one of my oldest friends again. THANK YOU CRAFSMAN!!
Hello CrafsMan, I'm so happy I stumbled upon your videos a while back. I really like how your delivering your content with so much enthusiasm and kindness. Your videos have never failed to make me smile. Thank you for all the lessons. I hope that you're doing well!
Another awesome video tutorial! Here’s a bit of Star Wars nerd lore: the hammerheads (Ithorians) have a mouth on both sides of their heads, so they talk in stereo. That matches up with your kitbashed concept pretty well. BTW I also was digging your musical score in this one. Keep them coming Crafsman.
Too awesome, I’m glad you didn’t cut into that Boba Fett. I was surprised when you said you were going to use it for parts, but then I figured anything the Crafsman does is going to be art, so I was cool with it.
I wish you could do a workshop tour, or a long video showing off all your collections (20-30 min long). I've seen all your videos, when I stumbled across the channel I immediately became obsessed lol. I've watched the one where you talk about some things you like but I could've kept watching for hours. Thank you for the clean friendly content ❤❤❤
Oh man I just found your channel the other day and subbed but this video, right here, is my favorite for 2019!! Your sense of humor is awesome. Please keep making great videos like this.
Kitbash is so fun. I used to make loads of top heavy mechs that had real skinny legs, and ones that would need parts from another model. really fun stuff :)
Recently stumbled into this channel while looking into how to make your own toys and action figures. While your videos aren't exactly what I was looking for (more along the lines of a figma action figure that I'd model and 3d print myself), I have to say I utterly adore this channel and you've earnt a subscription from me. Keep doing what you're doing and being a positive force on the world! Much love.
I haven't been subscribed long but I've watched every video and read a lot of comments and I've never seen a single hate comment! This community you've crafted is so amazing and finding this channel is like finding an oasis in the UA-cam desert. Keep doing what you love!
This is honestly the video I've been waiting for. I was actually searching for examples of home-made action figures when I found your channel last year. It's something I've been wanting to do personally for a while, and recently my oldest nephew just randomly up and said it's something he's wanted to try too.
Thank you for making this, I'm working on a project just like, this for the first time, and having a guide this clear (and soothing) means the world to me. I'd love to see other resins of different malleability.
Glad you enjoyed it! :D Thanks for the kind comment. Also, did you see the link at the end of this video, where I linked to the resin comparisons? I think you'll find it useful. :)
Random fortune cookie in the shot😂One of my favorite present, was getting that little boat, with the van, motorcycle plus parachute for the action figure ❗👍✌️
This was an uproarious romp of retrofitting rejuvenation! Love Mc Hammerhead Hunter of Bounties I always kitbashed my G.I. Joe and StarWars figures when they broke. They were some of my favorite ones to play with. Keep doin you. And keep steady craftin' Crafsman.
I knew that body was Bossk as soon as I saw the thumbnail, he's my favourite! This video has inspired me to kitbash using some of the dinged up Star Wars figures my brother blew up with firecrackers when we were kids! Awh snap
:D Mannn, I don't know what it is about that Bossk figure, but I've always liked him as well! And I REALLY hope you get to make some kitbashed figures! It's a lot of fun. :)
Great video, and yes PLEASE, I would personally LOVE to see your take on different materials/ plastics/ resins to use for pouring into molds like this! :D And for that matter, if you know of low-cost alternative to pouring materials and/or poured mold-making materials that'd alternatives to the poured silicone, that'd be fantastic, too. In the meantime, can't wait wait to see whatever you do next. Always a pleasure watching your videos. :)
Thanks for the feedback! You talking about the squishy-squish inserts? I've used some really soft materials before, like Smooth-On Eco Flex 30 and Smooth-On Dragon Skin. I'm not sure how long they would hold up in a shoe, but they are fairly resilient.
Ithorians are a personal favorite Star Wars alien and I really like your character. You could probably fool a lot of people into thinking it was a real character
From the daughter of a dentist...you are giving him a goldmine! My dad was an old=fashioned dentist, and did a lot of his own labwork. I think my nieces have my dad's old tools. I'd love to have them!!!
It's so hard to learn anything from your videos... They always relax me into a sleep, lol. I'm just kidding. I love your videos so much! The world needs more people like you.
I think he would look really great with a custom paint scheme to help him look even more different than the figures you parted him out from. Keep up the awesome work!
I thought about painting him (and even decided on a paint scheme) but reconsidered because of the original email mentioning not painting. So I just kept it to as-is parts. But I almost want to make a 2nd one and paint him (matching pockets, for example) to see how it turns out. :)

“Adolescent radio active martial artist tortoise, made in Mexico.” I’m gonna laugh about this for days. Love you Crafsman!
LMBO I lost it when he said that dude. Crafsman, you da man.
Adolescent Radioactive Blackbelt Hamsters was a halfway decent parody comic back in the day. Think he has some in his library
This was the best hahaha!
Got to stop watching your videos in the middle of our German nights. Keep waking up the kids lolling around n stuff. We love you crafsman
Fulkrum ! I love how he said it can basically be a meme format
YES Please, 8:47 do a video about the Various Resin types out there. thank you in advance.
That would be helpful! And casting / coloring rubber parts too.
I agree, I've been trying to figure out which resin to make jewelry with. I've been using EnviroTex Pour-On. Sometimes it stays sort of soft, no matter how accurate I try to be with pouring weight and mixing, it's just never consistent for me.
Agreed. This would be stellar.
Oh yes this would be so helpful. 👍
Yeah, please do
I honestly can’t stop thinking about Boba Frett and Boba Threat
He play song, he attac
But most importantly
He have battle axe
This stuff would be really interesting on its own, but the character and the jokes and the overall style are such a nice bonus that I think I'd watch this even if I had no interest in art.
Boba Fett from Jaba's Palace and Boba Fett from Planet Fitness, LOL, HA, HA, HA!! I just lost it!
Victor Vazquez haha me too!
Oh man yes! I've actually been making custom figures for a long time. Kitbashing has a whole community on sites like FigureRealm, its a great resource for beginners looking for tutorials.
50percentJoe same here. I should do some of that for my custom Warhammer 40k stuff that I do

The most wholesome channel on youtube by far. The story behind the figure he made speaks volumes to the crafsmans character. Godd bless you Crafsman.
I’m finally back to catching the Crafsman as his uploads occur! 💕
