@@evilutionltd Truth. I tried, but came in at 15min. You have to sit and wait for a premier. Not very convenient. That said, TheCrafsMan gets an upvote anyways, since I get to watch it again.
Hearing "Hello, and welcome to the Crafsman show. My name is your host...The Crafsman" will soothe your soul no matter how catawampus your week has been.
Mannn, thank you! But honestly I just saw the little "Premiere" switch option recently and tried it. LOL! This is the 2nd premiere I've done, but this one has a longer notice.
The Crafsman blew my mind right near the beginning of the video: “I don’t think I have done a single thing in my life that has turned out exactly how I wanted it to. But we just compromise, and we be happy with it.” Because this morning in my journal, I wrote this: “I don’t think anything I’ve ever made is exactly the thing I intended when I set out to make it. And that’s OK.” Everybody: what’s important is that you’re making something!
Hey crafsman! Your videos are amazing and I appreciate what you do. I have severe depression and your videos provide me a relieve from the self loathing and scary thoughts I have far too often. Your approach to art and life, your amazing videos, and your soothing voice have gotten me through many dark times. Thank you for being such a great personality and beacon of light and hope! Thank you for all you do.
If you want to get a smooth finish with Sculpey, bake it for 8 to 10 minutes (instead of 15 to 20) let it cool, then sand it while it’s not 100% hardened. Then go back and finish baking it with it’s new smoothness (: I have some videos on my channel on how I do it. It’s a lot easier to sand before it’s at its completely baked and hardened. Hope you can see this and it helps a bit! Thank you for the lovely videos! ✨💕
Don't even look at those thumbs down crafsman! those peoples mouse ain't working right and they clicked that on accident. I Love your show, and thank you for sharing your insight and humor. You are like the Bob Ross of crafting!

That idea for making the belt as a single piece was brilliant sir, I don't know how many I've made that just didn't look right. Thank you Crafsman, you have inspired me to get my next model going ASAP.

You never fail to entertain Crafsman. I think that the figure looks just like the Crafsman puppet. That’s the next toy you should make. Steady craft’n.
This video is a great example of one of the most important ideas I learned in my journey to become an artist, which is not to try to take the art somewhere, but to let the art take you somewhere. In other words, when you are too focused on trying to capture the idea you had pictured in your mind you will inevitably create something stiff and less joyful and flowing, but if you just let your mind play, the creativity will start bringing out ideas from your unconscious you never knew where in your head at all. It took me many years to reach that point where I felt comfortable enough to trust my own instincts and loosen up, to let the art just evolve into its own thing, but the work is pretty much always more satisfying in that way.
This has been the MOST important video in my life, in a long while! You really made me feel like all my crazy methods aren't so crazy... down to sculpting in random parts. I love this!
Craftsman the story of your new figure hits home with me. It is very similar to the direction my life has taken. Also yesterday I sculpted on a custom figure myself for the first time. Your videos are what inspired me to try it so it is ironic that today this video is on UA-cam. Thank you for all your hard work and great videos.
That was just GREAT! I love how you show how to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and sort of stumble into something that you might not have planned originally, but ends up even better than you'd thought! Again, what you do makes MORE people feel like they can just start playing around with materials, let their whimsy flow, and be happily surprised when something emerges that's amazing. You're opening up so many doors for folks. And by the way: 1) The extra bits aren't a waste---they'll find their way into some other clever idea; 2) Your paper sketches are just as fun to look at as the 3-D stuff you make; and 3) I'm JUST like you with those fancy journals--I'm scared to write in them and mess them up! Thanks for the smiles and encouragement today.

Those cheap notebooks are perfect for sketching ideas. A few weeks ago, I decided to finally do something with my sketches. Thanks for sharing your creative process! It's fun to watch!
Your encouraging attitude is really inspiring! Often I give up on things before I give myself a chance to maybe develop skills, because I get discouraged and give up, because I don't think I'm good enough, but maybe I just need to keep going and keep trying and hopefully learn techniques from Artists such as yourself who are so kind to share them with others. Thank you!
Honestly, watching someone who barely knows what they’re doing is more encouraging than watching a master. Happy accidents and all that. Just roll with it until you figure it out.
Just want you to know, i found you searching for crafting/DIY stuff about a month ago and i love all your videos. You are hilarious and super informative. Makes me want to try some of these things out.
When I see all those different heads drawn all up in your book, it gets me thinkin’ bout one word: GLYOS! (Anyone else find themselves talking/typing like CrafsMan after you watch one (or ten) or his videos? I call it “The CrafsMan Effect”) (It’s like the Butterfly effect, but with CrafsMan...)
Hello crafsman as an art student I relate to your sketchbook problem. A easier solution i have found is starting from the middle or the back(depending on how it is bound together) so if you dont like drawing you can take the page out. This also let's you test the paper if you are using inks or paint to see how it reacts.
A wise woman once told me, “Don’t make yourself wrong for your process.” Most people seem to think that artists know exactly what they want to accomplish and exactly how to accomplish it and videos like this are wonderful in helping to inform the opposite of that assumption. If your job was to only make sculptures and not any of the other ten thousand amazingly creative things you do, then you might have a “professional” process that you follow with little variation . (which to me would be kinda boring....) Also, your Sculpty piece need not be the final result. It can be a study/sketch to inform the process where you later create another piece using the individual components. (And when you are mega mega mega famous that original sculpture will be worth a million dollars. 😁) Many thanks and much love for all that you do. Keep on craftin’!
I totally get the not wanting to sully pristine fancy notebooks with any old scribblings. I fought with this too but more or less got over it by using a cheap fountain pen and cheerful ink colour, and taking it slow and neat as I write. Now I feel happy looking back over my notes...
