- On a lot of Toyotas, It is possible to set your windows and sunroof to open when holding the lock button on the key fob. It is not difficult and this shows how it is set. Special Thanks to Robert for the help!!

My dealer wanted $80 to set the option for me. I purchased a Carista and set all of my Toyotas plus a few other options.
Great
I love this channel... I get my Tundra Platinum end of February 2023 and ive always wanted this feature!!!!
Thank you. I appreciate you being a part of my channel
Ask and you shall receive. Thanks for addressing this question, such a nice feature in this Louisiana heat.
You bet!
I live in Florida and I find it better than remote start.
Thanks for your great content every video, I wonder if this is possible for Sienna 4th generation. I will be very glad to make it all up while my children forgot take the windows up again!
It wont do up from the key fob but can from the slide key
Can a regular non smart key be programmed to roll the windows down or does it have to be a smart key? My 2023 Corolla LE just has a regular key fob and no push button start.
Is available on the 2024 grand highlander and does a technician have to program this into your key fob or can I do it?
Glad I could help!
Thanks
What other options can be done for your key fob or electronics that are cool like this?
Does this work on a 24 Rav4?
I'll have to try this on my 2018 Highlander. But, I have a different question. Is there a way to use my fob to lock doors while I have key in ignition and car running? This would be a great help to me due to the fact on weekends I do a lot of quick dropoffs. I physically have to use the key to lock and unlock while car is running.
Happy to help
Nope! My 2000 Grand Cherokee can do it but not my 2022 4Runner.
We’ll just got it activated on my 4Runner / Landcruiser 150 2015 production and all windows plus sunroof do go up when you hold lock button again for 2,5 sec … what makes sense if a rain starts and you might not be that close to the car 😎☝️
Awesome
My 2004 Accord came from factory like that. With all the new technology, why on earth do I need to go see a dealership to program it in? You'd think the display could give you options on what to do when receiving sequence of fob button depressions. Just weird imo.
@@waynebinky not everyone likes it. When I had a honda I came out to a soaked car cause I accidentally did it
@@stevenwelchtoyota That's pretty bad luck to manage the correct sequence by accident. i just use it when approaching my car on a hot day to let the heat out.
Very helpful, ty
Glad it was helpful!
What other options could the dealership do with your key fob or just cool things like that?
THere is a whole list of things you can turn or off
Where do you get this list of this ?
Seams like rolling up would come in more handy. Imagine if they are all down and the sky falls. Hit a button and everything closes.
U can use physical key to roll up, turn and hold for 1 5 seconds they'll roll up however long u hold turned
if it is enabled
@@stevenwelchtoyotahow you enable it
Hey just a question dose it fork on 2016 toyota kluger and whats the price to do it at the dealership
I don't know. That is an overseas vehicle and not sure how the dealer works there
We bought a 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE. We tried pressing hold to unlock it but had no luck. What is up?
It has to be programmed in service
I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla, any idea if/how I can do this with that? I would appreciate some input, haven't been able to find anything on this except here. Thanks!
Its probably not on a Corolla but I would ask the next time you are in service
@@stevenwelchtoyota thank you!
Toyota Cross Hybrid 2023 my manual page 89 says you can set it to open and unlock AND close windows and lock
great
I wonder if my 2020 rav4 hybrid xle has this feature
yes
I have a 2018 Avalon Limited. Will this work on a 2018 Avalon Limited?
Yes
@@stevenwelchtoyota Thanks, my local Toyota dealer in Winston-Salem, NC (Modern Toyota) says the option it is not available. I thought their response was strange since I have a 2007 Lexus ES 350 that has this. My brother and father have 2019 and 2020 Avalon Hybrids that have the option too.
Does Toyota Camry comes with walk away auto lock and unlock? Can this feature be activated at the dealership?
no
@@stevenwelchtoyota thanks for your response
@@dane940 no problem
Does this work on the 2023 Tundra SR5?
Yes
Is this something that can be done on a 23 LE rav4?
Yes
I don't understand why this feature is not activated by default despite it is mentioned in the toyota manual
There are alot of people, myself included, who dont want to use the feature. I just want people to know how to get it if they want it.
Will this work on Second Gen Tundras??
I believe so
How much does the dealership charge to unlock options?
most likely unless you do it as part of another service
Been looking for this option for a while now. Will Toyota Dealerships program this for free?
i believe that most will do it if you are having another service done at the same time
Yes they do. Got mine done today
@@mountephraimdid they charge you?
Where is your car dealer because I live in hickory, NC and the dealer had no idea what could be done after showing them your video they told me, they will charge me just for checking if it has that function
Will it work on a 2023 Tundrra Plat?
yes
Any chance this works on 1st gen. Tundras, or what will ?
I dont believe so
@@stevenwelchtoyota I’ve heard if any vehicle has power windows there’s modules to let you operate them remotely. I hope it’s true for mine. 🤞🏼
@@Ojb_1959 it's not one I have tried
Does this work on the Tacoma 2023
Should work
Can you do it on toyota tundra 1794 2022?
Which location?
Can I make a 2018 corolla se do this?
I believe so
Is it on the 2020 Corolla le?
It should work
What's the cost for a dealer to access and turn on this option
depends on the dealer. should be better if you get other services done at the same time
I think there's an option to either have the sunroof slide open or tilt up.
I believe you are correct
Is this on the 2023 Camry SE ?
I believe so if you have the push button start
nice
Thanks
Will this work on the new 2022 Tundra?
That is what I am told
are you wanting a particular color capstone?
@@stevenwelchtoyota yes. I’m looking for the Wind Chill white. With the advanced package.
@@robertrubel so you would not be interested in a blue one?
@@stevenwelchtoyota the reason I like the white is it matches the black and whit interior. If you get one on the lot I would drive up from Huntsville AL to see it in person.
What about on 2011-2020 Sienna?
It should work
@@stevenwelchtoyota That's great news! I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey and hqve been looking at purchasing a Sienna and would really miss this feature. Does the dealership charge to turn this feature on and if so can any dealership do this like if I bought a Sienna from a Honda or Chevy dealerahip should their scan tool have the capacity?
I have 2016 4runner Trail edition with this feature. However, my sunroof will NOT open as all my door windows do. Anyone else with this experience? 🤔
You need to select it in the menu to include the sunroof.
@@stevenwelchtoyota Thank you for the response. I'll go back to my dealership in hopes of them adding the feature without me having to pay again. Thanks! 🙏
My 06 Accord already does this
I found out my old accord did it when I sat on my key and came out the next day after a heavy rain to the sunroof and windows down
2022 Highlander?
should work on it
It certainly does, I enabled it with carista on my '22 highlander hybrid limited.
I took my 2021 4Runner in for maintenance work at the local Toyota dealership and they were going to charge me $75 + tax to do it. No thank you.
I know some will charge some wont.
$75? You got the most expensive Toyota and you can't afford $75?
@@donnelmoss757You think the 4Runner is the most expensive Toyota?
@@colby78hurley fully equipped it's over 50,000🤷🏾
@@donnelmoss757it’s not about if you can afford 75$ it’s about paying it’s worth and it’s not worth 75$
So only a Toyota tech can do this? Also is there a fee for it to be done?
Usually if you have them do it during another service they will do it at no charge at most dealerships from what I am told
@@stevenwelchtoyota thank you. I have a service soon. I will ask and report. Great job Steven
@@mountephraim great. Happy to help
Hiiii UPDATE. I got my 2021 Sienna serviced today 06-14-22 and I now have my windows operated by the key fab. YEAAAA

How bout 2015 venza
@@Digerati-Zone should work
dumb that windows don''t go up with FOB. It is raining why do you have to go inside vhicle??? Come on Toyota
Its meant to air out the vehicle
@@stevenwelchtoyota I get it.. Until you have had one that does both you won't get it. Just like 2023 model that still doesn't have folding mirrors or a tail gate lock button... But I still bought one!
Great build quality and reliability but terrible technology.
It's 2022, toyota tech is absolute garbage compared to Hyundai, Kia and even the Chinese brands.
I disagree
@@stevenwelchtoyota It's a fact. Ancient interiors and 10 year old technology. I still bought a toyota due to the build quality and off road ability. But even the fact you gotta take steps outlined in your video in 2022 to open windows is ridiculous, and you can't even put the windows back up.
Meanwhile hyundai/kia have decent cameras and heads up display and screens and other companies have phone apps.
😂😂 your argument is the tech? Doesn't matter how fancy you think they are when they leave you stranded. I worked as a service writer and the joke got to be that when someone said, "I got a 100k warranty with my kia!" I would respond with, "good thing. You're going to need it."
In the meantime, my Highlander, with 341K and very little repairs....
But congratulations on your pretty Kias and Hyundais. 😂🎉
@@susiebaldwin5863 I was reffering to very poor resolution cameras, dated screens for infotainment and blue ray players Toyota keep insisting on installing even in 2023. It's often 10 year old technology being installed on cars being sold today.
Why do Toyota install this junk on otherwise generally great vehicles?
I love Toyota for their reliability and I have to agree with many that the technology sucks, but then again, I'm happy with basics. Get me from point A to B and back again. Rented a Nissan Altima recently and it's drive assist in cruise was crazy good. Kept me in the center of my lane very well. I tried my 2023 Rav4 and it bounced you from line to line like a ping pong ball. Not great consider how proud the salesman was stating the safety system is a new upgrade for 2023.
