samuel santiago ramirez It's like a P1, except it's more refined, the infotainment system isn't laggy (hopefully they ditched Android completely), it's not so noisy inside, it's more comfy, and it's available in right-hand drive. Both are gorgeous, but I'd opt for the 720S over the P1.

Great review James, great to watch someone so enthusiastic about what they do. The pure enjoyment on your face reminds me how I feel when I drive my RS5, obviously not in the same league but shows if the car is right then there are no words to describe how it makes you feel. Only true car lovers will understand that feeling. Look forward to more content
Hasani, you nailed it Sir. I really think that Mr. JWW is a bit ahead of all these guys because he has a proper combination of vast vocabulary but also a fun edge that comes across as authentic. Also his presentation ( leather jacket, sun glasses, jeans ) feels a bit more relaxed but still fashionably proper for the task at hand. No need for pressed shirts or bad graphics promo shirts, this guy needs more SUBS!
Watching you Mr.JWW, is like watching Jeremy Clarkson in his prime. Seriously by far the best car youtuber out there along with Salomondrin. Keep it up James! I have been a subscriber since your second video.

Totally agree, i cant understand how Schmee have nearly 1 mill subs and james only 230k, James makes so much better content and i think has a lot better personality and the editing is miles better, no shit to Tim he is good but James is lot better
I'm not sure if a vlog saying "supercars are fast" count as a review or on the same level as what Chris Harris does. In fact, it's pretty offensive to people who can actually write and film properly. Most of these UA-cam content creators gets views because they get their hands on many nice cars, not because they're great reviewers. Some people made it big on UA-cam without being unemployed and rich but they're the minority (schmee, kyle, etc.)
The word to define what this is car isn't, based on Mr JWW, Paul Walace and Sam comments about it, is visceral, the car is so good and so perfect that seems he doesn't want to kill you like the other cars in the same categorie. It's a car that takes time to learn how to love it. Congrats Mr JWW for the channel and video quality.
That red with those wheels looks sensational, I love how this thing looks. Getting great reviews as well from journos. Grats man on the purchase, looks ballistic. When suttcliffe is cursing and swearing at a car, you know it's good.

If this car packs that much punch as you say it does, as an "all round" vehicle. My lord have mercy to see what the LT version of this will be, as like a 750LT. Extended carbon splitters, new exhaust, longer wheel base and a roof scoop + even crazier brakes and a full alcantara interior! Bloody hell that would be sight to see 👌😍

Il Valentino I hate alcantera, I don't like the McLaren interior for the 720s, I wish they had leather seats with diamond stitch
Alcantara is premium because it's so much lighter than leather, 20% lighter.
Which is why pure race cars use it, which makes it cool

So what I am gathering from this vid, and your 3 amigo's, is the car is super fast. Like insanely fast. But lacks that "wow" factor. It does everything. Another fantastic video. You have quickly ascended the ranks to become one of the best!

Among all the reviews I've watched, I absolutely prefer yours and Seen Through Glass. I have not enjoyed any major car journalists' review. There is a much more raw, unfiltered, and unscripted dialogue from you both. I definitely was looking forward to your thoughts as I know how absolutely amped you were at Geneva as a 675LT owner. As much as McLaren cars come across as a data/numbers driven product to get a driver from point A to B in the least drama, I still lean towards putting my money on a Ferrari. That 812 SF is very much an absolute occasion at any given moment......until you hit a tree.

Back to quality content. This is why we love your work James. That unique character, enthusiasm and style of editing.
I watched Paul's, Sam's and James' reviews, I watched James' last, but with most interest. I get that Paul & Sam were underwhelmed, Paul has Lambourghini flowing through his veins and embossed on his heart (for the record, Aston Martin are my weakness, having owned 4) and Sam was possibly nervous that the 720s would kill the love affair he is having with his 540c, and thats fine. In my eyes, James' put a fantastic review together, expressed his emotions and, as usual, put together a great vid. But James, you didn't answer the important question, "Are you going to ask for your deposit back, or do you now encounter sleepless nights until delivery day??" Keep the great vids coming, and have a safe trip home. Ciao!

simon cosson if i was james i would get my deposit back and put it on a huracan performante, i mean common how much performance do you need that you would see the huracan as not fast enough? Plus it has much much drama than the 720
You should read EVO Magazine's review. They find the car underwhelming and remote. I'm beginning to see V-bloggers really have their self interests at heart. They need to heap praise otherwise they won't be invited to the next launch, which means less traffic to their site. I'm not blaming them, they need to promote the product, but we can never expect these guys to be unbiased. This is probably the worst review by JWW in this respect, his others are quite entertaining.
Yeah, you make a fair point, I won't argue with that, maybe a little harsh to say it's probably JWW's worst review, but I understand what you're getting at. You're right about the invites too, it doesn't seem to register with me that its these guys business, and not just a hobby, as it comes across as...👍🏻

Don't blame McLaren for having slow and unreliable F1 cars. Blame their F1 engine supplier, Honda!
They have one of the best chassis in F1. They just lack in power.

This is a great review and summary of this car in my honest opinion.
Review of the Mclaren 720s by STG, Seb, SoL and James, ignoring the first Three, watching James and completely happy by the solid and magnificent video provided.
Lol. I expect to see two videos along the lines of "why I didn't get invited to the McLaren 775LT release" from STG and SOL. Much preferred your video James. No hate towards the guys but I really don't think they understood the reason for the 720S. It's an everyday weapon and that's the key word "every day". Paul can keep looking for "drama" in his cars, while James can blast by him holding onto the wheel with two fingers and yawning the whole way off to tea at high noon.
I think out of every review I've seen so far this was the most accurate and well thought out. I really like how you realized that there is going to be a more track-focused car and forgave it for its problems regarding passion. I feel like every other review was comparing it to the 675lt which shouldn't be the case. Can't wait to see yours!

Mr. Jww gave a clear explanation, showed his enjoyment of the car and also gave clear details as to where this car loses out compared to another car in its class.. the others where all over the place, confusing.. i couldn't even finish watching super cars of londons video or seen through glass just skipped through was annoying me.. but this video i watched in its entirety made complete sense

Amongst all the UA-cam Car 'Reviewers' I subscribe to, James stands apart and really does show his enthusiasm for his passion and that translates into infectious superwatchable content. I love Tim's (Shmee's) posts and appreciate his perhaps more technical and detail focussed commentary and there i no question that his content quality has improved immeasurably recently through more creative editing, but the sheer raw enjoyment that James' posts carries over, along with the arguably more subjective opinions he projects, gives an edgier aspect to his reviews with a bit more 'soul' (if that makes sense). Regardless, both are equally my 'Go To' sites and both allow me to live my dreams through the miracle of the magic web.

Simply love his passion & genuine enjoyment with these reviews. Plenty of other auto vloggers with such super cars that come across pompous, arrogant, etc. but Mr JWW has the unique ability to share with us these amazing automotive ownership experiences without acting like he's above anyone else (even though his bank account clearly is...ha). Bravo sir!

Ever since you announced at Geneva that you had ordered a 720S and your announcement that you were heading to Rome to experience the car for the first time, I've been looking forward to seeing this. Once again James you've captured the experience really beautifully, it would've been so easy to have gushed and boasted the cars abilities and not come back to the point that while of course the car is amazing, it's not yet at that 'Unicorn' zenith? By the look on your face the visceral explosiveness of the car is there for all to see and as you said, as an everyday Supercar/Hypercar the 720S is untouchable in pretty much every way except the out and out emotional side, which for a lot of people who knew no better, would be perfect. You hit the nail right on the head in your description that the car blurs the lines of Supercar and Hypercar and whilst the 720S does that with aplomb, there's no doubt that a 720LT will be probably even more evocative than the 675LT and move the game on considerably. An excellent review and I'm sure you can't wait to take delivery of yours, again judging by your reactions, I get the feeling it's going to be just fine! As always - Top Work Fella!👍👍👍

Getting too close to P1 spec for that maybe? Also cost would be a limitation I would have thought.
James, I feel quite emotional at how you conveyed that experience. Somehow, from Rome, via the internet super highway to my computer you managed to perfectly illustrate the feelings and emotions from driving what is clearly another massive step in automotive excellence.
