The 720S has become one of my favorite cars in recent times, it's simply beautiful and amazing looking! Saw one at a auto show in 2019, but not in this great orange color, not sure if I'll ever see one again on the roads, but it's easily one of the best looking exotic cars I've seen at this time, and there are a lot of hot exotics out there!

Well, you are talking about the Autobahn portions with no speed limit. Because if a particular motorway section has a speed limit in Germany, its usually 100,80, etc. So the line "You violate every speed limit in the world in three and a half seconds" is still right because if there is no speed limit on a German motorway section then there is nothing to violate.
Yeah I figured there were some places still without speed limits. Still like the line, even if it only applies to 99.99999% of the roads in the world. I will accept the round up for UA-cam journalism.

Was lucky to drive this for the first time today. I think it's worth mentioning how absolutely smooth the throttle and brake pedals are. Where a lot of the other supercars can be a bit tricky and scary to get use to, this one is smooth like Michael Jackson! Love it!

Come-on Doug, 8 out of 10 for cool factor? This thing is Fricken Cool! Bump that number up to 10. This should be tied with the Ford GT. Styling an 8? Look at the Styling of the door!! Those lines are simply magic. I'm amazed with the composite guys that laid the carbon for those doors.

He is spot on for the cool factor. All the cars and coffee I went to this summer there just seemed to be more and more of these. They were cool the first few we saw but by the end of summer there would be 8 or 9 of these parked in the lot. They are a great car and probably the best performance for the money, hence why everyone in the car clubs is buying one. Basically what I am saying is they are not rare, they are becoming very common to seem, kind of like the 911, amazing car AMAZING but you see a lot of them and therefore the cool factor has to take a bit of a hit. Styling should be a 10 though, very different from what everyone else is doing.

Great review felt like I was at McLaren with a sales person showing me personally the 720s . Most reviews just show a car on the road and it's performance, nice to see all the little details like the dash , vents etc.

McLaren uses metric horsepower (ps) instead if American horsepower (hp) and ps numbers are a little bit higher than hp numbers. So this car does have 720 metric horsepower

It's fantastic-looking!! Saw one in my hometown. I don't mind the huge recessed headlight/ airscoop openings with the turn signal bars out in front. They're futuristically-unique, and are what inspired me to find out what this crazy car was. Doug could revise his styling score for the 720S to a full '10' if this feature becomes more accepted.
McLaren design has the most organic lines compared to other supercar makers.
Thus far, 130 overweight armadillos, and 28 pandas have been offended by this video.

I love how the Maclaren badge on the rear is behind the little hexagon grill. Awesome little detail. It gives it a kind of 3D effect.
I traded an LP580-2 for my 720s and couldn’t be happier. The 720s is so raw that you feel everything including all the road imperfections. The Huracan felt heavy and not very confidence inspiring at higher speeds (unless you are going straight). The Huracan sounded better but at a cost. Long trips are not very amusing when traveling over 75mph as you hear the engine and cannot hood a conversation. I also drove a 488 and it was quite an easy choice to go for the McLaren. Buy it with a warranty of CPO. Thank you for a great review.

I bought that car in December 2018. That’s the best car I’ve ever owned being a car collector and having Ferrari’s and Mercedes. It’s gorgeous and even though I collect them this is my daily driver among with a Range Rover velar supercharged.

@Ray Be kind to others, it goes a long way Takes a lot more than just working hard to afford a car like the McLaren 720S. Save money and then hope you get lucky if you invest it smartly. My parents always said " make your money work for you"...meaning save a few grand in your 20's and put it into a CD or IRA and when you are in your 40's you could put a nice big down payment on one or pay for it in full. My local McLaren dealership is offering financing at 1,595.00 a month for 12 yrs

RCR may be comical, but they are no joke! Doug is thorough with his reviews but Mr. Regular's content is like poetry.
Lining a cup holder with alcantara is actually quite close to its original usecase. It was pretty much developed as a material that won't stain easily, is easy to clean and wont soak liquids (used in a lot of furniture for elderly for obvious reasons). The material is also really cheap.
I'm also appreciating the unbroken, curving body work all the way from the door scoops to the engine cover and spoiler. It's distinctive, restrained even- I wouldn't add or subtract a thing! Opposingly, that awful 25th anniversary Countach he drives in Miami is an exercise in excess, which I guess was sort of the point 😜
