You do a great job at fairly covering news for every team in the league. I’m a ducks fan but have been happy to see their organization/media embrace you. Well deserved 👏

Funny enough I find myself cheering for goals on each side when they happen. So TWICE THE CHEERING lol!!

Fans of certain teams have to just watch the games because they enjoy hockey and not expect anything from their teams, ever. And if they get their 25-35 wins a year, you have to enjoy those. In that category I'd put Buffalo, Columbus, Ottawa, the Islanders and my very own Flames. None of those teams are ever going to win anything. I'd like to see Buffalo do well, but with their stumbling around this year, when they seem to have pretty good talent, I don't think we're ever going to see them in the playoffs again.
I'm an Avs fan but I'll root for McDavid. He's one of the best to ever do it and he deserves a Cup. I also jumped on the Florida bandwagon the last few years because they're just so damn fun to watch.

During the Sedin era, I was at a Sharks game where they hosted the Canucks. There was a decent contingent of Vancouver fans in attendance. It was a hard fought contest which Vancouver won. After the game we shook hands with the Canucks fans sitting behind us. Their comments were, "This is a great hockey town." and "We'll see you in the playoffs."

Jumping from 30/30 to 5/32, what a journey. *Edit* Ducks should absolutely back up the brinks truck for Marner. Get a bonafide Top 6 Winger who is Right Handed on a team that literally has 5 righties on their entire roster. Plus he seems like a laid back kind of guy who would enjoy having to deal with next to no media.
"I think they're better than their record." - THG on the Red Wings I've watched all but the 2 15:49 NHL Network exclusive Red Wings games. They are not better than their record. In fact, they have won some games they should've lost that Talbot has carried them to victory.
Having been a subscriber since 2016, this is so funny thinking back to which teams you disliked back then. I wonder how you would have reacted if we showed 2016 THG this video
My teams are the Ducks and Bruins. I wouldn’t put either team at one or two, it’s more like they’re an interchangeable 1A and 1B. (I was born and raised in Southern California to a Boston family, and the Ducks are the ONLY - absolute ONLY - Southern California based sports team that I root for.) For a long time the Panthers were third, until they started winning and always beating the Bruins in the process. 🤣 (The fact that their new bandwagon fans suddenly got snarky didn’t help.) For a long time my fourth was Nashville, behind Florida. Now Nashville has moved up to my third. Seattle has been close to the top as well due to shiny expansion team bias, that will probably wear off as the years go on.
As a former Canadian, now in California, I can’t stand the California teams, especially LA. I find myself cheering for all the Canadian teams(especially Edmonton), except Toronto! Also root for a couple of others here in the States like Detroit & Minnesota. Even Seattle.
As a Leafs / Canucks fan I'd be pretty upset to see them let Marner walk, but if they ever did I'd hope for him to end up on the Canucks. Really I think if Graig Berube has any say in it I assume the Leafs are going to sign him.
Yea you could've watched the video for like 4 minutes and found out he knows about it too. I don't understand making comments before watching any of the video I'm sure there are youtubers who make mistakes at start of videos on purpose to drive up engagement in the comments
As someone who followed and loved the Avs throughout most of their history I'm right there with you on them. Not a fan of the current roster, the way the team plays, the announcers, or the modern Avs fans. I'm definitely more partial to Utah, Winnipeg, and Florida these days.
As an Avs fan, while I completely disagree with you on how the team plays and the announcers...our fans can be very annoying just because of all the doomers when there's a smidge of struggle. And the roster isn't the best - Nichushkin and the goaltenders hold the team back. But damnit, I love Mack, Makar, Moose, Lehky...
Avs fans aren't disliked around the league for being doomers. They're disliked for being cocky, toxic online, unwelcoming to away fans and unbecoming as away fans in other buildings, not being super knowledgable as hockey fans, etc. Your commentators are listenable only for amusement (biggest homers in the league). I'd go a step further and say people born and raised in Colorado are among the least friendly people in the US. There's very little authentic culture in the mountain west; it's a place for transplants, people with money, etc. There's not a great sense of community. @@Dutchovenderlinde
Always root for Toronto, Colorado, and Washington, always root against Boston, Vegas, and Pittsburgh, and everyone else fluctuates. I was pulling for Nashville this year, as well San Jose, Winnipeg, and Ottawa this season. That last one feels like blasphemy.
I dont want Jets to succeed or win cup. They are still one of the teams I would like to watch in the playoffs. Fantastic team game and ~goat(?) goalie.
Nobody's going to believe you root for the Leafs some nights? You've already admitted to a financial bias in this regard. Anyone who's heard that will not be surprised.
You're always rooting for the Sabres, Senators and Maple Leafs to beat Boston, so you should have placed them in front of them. The only reason TKG liked the Bruins in the beginning was to spite his father.
Incorrect. I liked them because of Neely, Moog and Bourque. My father being a Habs fan was unrelated, but it made it fun to watch with him. I haven't rooted against Boston, so no clue what you're getting at. I don't get angry when Boston loses, but I didn't get angry when Vancouver lost against Edmonton either. I guess you know me better than I do. I have Bruins jackets, a robe, and that was my first jersey ever, but you apparently know better than I do.
@@TheHockeyGuy Yeah, sure. As a fan of the Bruins since the last 40+ years I recognize another Bruins fan. You loved the Canucks and Stars as a franchise not as a player or two like the Bruins. But, you can still go on with this charade you have manifested to deceive the people. I know where your heart lies(pun intended) my friend.
As a kings fan I’m proud to be a fan! I know not everyone likes LA because they think we’re some dirty city and all this but I don’t even live in LA and I’m a fan. I live close to La but I’m not in LA. Their are many of us who don’t live in LA but still support and most kings fans I meet are nice not including the drunk people who go to games lol but most of the time I haven’t met a single bad kings fan unless like I said before they’re drunk and have no idea what they’re doing lol. But very rare for me to meet a bad fan
Whether I root against a team is usually linked directly to how my experience with the fanbase has been (online since I’m from Europe). Of course every fanbase has positive exceptions but generally speaking. I find Boston fans the most insufferable of all. Like they have the same compensation issues win or lose and they are always either bragging or salty without any in-between mode. Close second are Dallas Cowboys fans and I can’t root for the Stars because those are the same fans even though I have no actual issue with the Stars. Philly fans are the most obnoxious so those teams are out too. Right now Oilers fans are still on my iffy side a bit after all the Stanley Cup salt although I have to say there were plenty of classy/sporty ones after it was all said and done. Used to absolutely hate everything LA because of the super annoying Kobe Bryant fans, but not any more now.
In general, sports fans tend to be more annoying when their team is winning than they are when their team is losing. There are some teams where the fans don't handle losing well and blame the refs or complain about the other players. But in general, we tend to have sympathy for teams who lose a lot, and we tend to dislike teams that are always successful (even if they're successful just because they're run properly). Toronto seems to be an exception to this - even though they've got a very well publicized inability to find success in the playoffs, they still seem to be rather hated. Buffalo, on the other hand, with their very long streak of not even making the playoffs, is probably one of the least hated teams. Columbus seems to be many people's favorite teams because of Gaudreau, but that's temporary, and probably just for this one season for most people. As a Washington fan, I'm aware that we're probably going to be a really hated team in a few years (the capfriendly purchase certainly doesn't help) when we don't enter into a rebuild after Ovechkin retires. People are going to be angry that the Capitals retooled on the fly and didn't need to tank for a few years at the end of Ovechkin's career the way Pittsburgh is going to be doing for the rest of this decade. Usually after a team has success, they need to tank for a few years, get a few superstars in the top 5 or top 10 of the draft, and then after a few years, return to being a contender. But with how well Strome, McMichael, Protas, Dubois, and others are doing, along with Cristall and Leonard coming up next season, it doesn't look like the Capitals will do this. And I know people will hate the Capitals because of it. There's already some unfortunate xenophobic hatred from a lot of people who hate Ovechkin because he's Russian, and possibly even some people who hate the Capitals just because they hate Washington DC for political reasons (which ironically has a huge overlap with the people who hate Ovechkin just because he's Russian). There's also some people who really don't want to see Ovechkin pass Gretzky because they think that Ovechkin passing Gretzky in goals will make Gretzky less great. But there's also people who are rooting for the Capitals because they want to see Ovechkin get one last chance (or two last chances, because next season is probably his last) to make a run in the playoffs, as Ovechkin isn't anywhere near Gretzky's level, but he is still a borderline top 10 player of all time. And of course, there are also people who root against the Capitals because of Tom Wilson. Which I completely understand because I haven't liked Boston as much because of Marchand.
The order of teams I cheer for 1) Vegas 2) Ottawa 3) Buffalo. That’s it lol. I hope Buffalo can snap their playoff drought and would be cool to see Ottawa back in. I am Canadian so I believe it or not Oilers fans I did cheer for them in the finals :) Great content THG

Root for the deserving.
Love these videos go sensgo
Philly ahead of Detroit :-(
Go cans!!!!!
Winnipeg has been AWESOME to watch this year. Also love seeing the Ducks hit the top 5 🥰
Boston, LA and New York are generally hated because their fans can’t handle losing
You just have to answer "ok" rather than "why" to what teams other people dislike.
@@brandontong759 and Tampa can?
The order of teams I cheer for 1) Vegas 2) Ottawa 3) Buffalo. That’s it lol. I hope Buffalo can snap their playoff drought and would be cool to see Ottawa back in. I am Canadian so I believe it or not Oilers fans I did cheer for them in the finals :) Great content THG
Go Caps!
