    I bought a Road Glide ST back in May 2023 while on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. Traded my 2007 VRod for this one. Walked away from a 450lb bike to this at just over 850lb. Road the Tail of the Dragon two days later. Loves every second and mile of the ride and returned home with over 1200 miles on my new purchase. I love the bike and all that comes with it. Would have bought a Bagger sooner had I not been so hard headed. My intention was to “Test Ride” only and couldn’t walk away without this bike.

      I want a road glide st almost more than anything. But I refuse to trade in my vrod to get one. You're something else.

    I have one of these and about all of the “less thans” I hear in this video must be personal things because I love everything about mine. I would be hard pressed to call anything on it less than a 10. I traded in a dearly loved 2010 FLTRX for it and this machine smashes it in every category. This bike is a chart topper, it is a biker’s bike with a readily available attitude and a touch of elegance.

    I like your style of Reviews, think it awesome how you come out just like honest neighbor friend, both brand offer things, I am not Down the riad of Harley Davidson Vs Indian fan fare culture particularly the Harley Club, I always like in the old days the Harley bike but not the image , today's to me it's just the latest fad tattos and all that just so you can fit the image like has if you R a bad. . . boy/girl.
    But getting to the bikes I kind like Indian for what it offers for the price, and some of the technology, i think there should be a balance between some of the old bikes simple as it gets and the newer ones with the tech , forgetting what is to ride Raw one goes soft on what riding bis all about , just saying.
    PS. Real bad ass People are the most deceptive and quiet people one can find also the kindest People one can find .

    I never liked that bike, the front fairing to me is ugly AF. Looks like a uge plastic peace they didn't know what to do with, lets just fix that somewhere and voila, you have a road glide st! Not my type..Its a shame, cause the motor is great, and its a smooth riding motorcycle. Well, everyone their taste! Amazing review as usual my friend, you do fantastic work, your channel deserve's to be at the top!

      If you don't like this bike for the looks but you like the engine, my video on the 2023 Street Glide ST is coming out tomorrow (July 2nd at noon est). Same 117 boosted Milwaukee-Eight engine but with all the great looks of a street glide! Hope that helps, and thanks for watching and supporting the channel! I really appreciate it!

    Really been thinking a lot about buying a Road glide st as my first motorcycle. I’ve ridden dirt bikes and enduros most of my life but I’m getting too old and fat for all that. I’m 6’2” and 370 ish lbs. would this be a good fit?

    • @theaveragegolfer4644
      @theaveragegolfer4644 Рік тому

      Yes it would, I’ve ridden dirt bikes my entire life and just bought this as my first Harley, I’m 6’1 195 and it’s made for all sizes

  • @Bikerbug2020
    @Bikerbug2020 9 місяців тому

    Harley Road Glide ST as with most motorbikes is designed for folks under 6’0” tall. I am 6’3” tall and just bought a Road Glide ST and had to order an extended reach seat from Saddlemen with a Step Up. Hoping it fixes the issue of being cramped up. The bike is nice, but my Indian Challenger is a better overall bike. But had to get the Harley because of the Fast Johnnie Enthusiast paint scheme and overall look.
    The Harley is actually a bit smaller than the Challenger, the Indian has a better suspension as well, guess I will need to upgrade to Ohlins / or Wilber Suspension .

    How much different in handling would you think the new RG is vs. the old RG?

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  Рік тому +1

      Same. I have a love/hatred relationship with it, and that's just me probably needing more time with it. For the comfort and highway handling you can't beat it. For curves and backroads, I give the edge to Indian, but that's being real picky 😉

      @119topdawg Рік тому +1

      @@MOTOBLADE I have always found the RG to be comfy, but hardly nimble/quick - always feels like it's pushing into the turn rather than "carving" a turn. Actually reminds me of trying to corner my 75 KAW H1... Excellent review by the way considering the limited time you got to spend with the bike.

      I have a 2011 RG with the 103 stage 1. and 2023 RG st 117 with stage 1. I have 75,000km on the 11. 2000km on the 23. As for the bike the 23 is lighter and more nimble then the 11. The steering is lighter on the 23. All around. I think it’s a pretty sweet ride. Lots of power.

    I agree it can be a hanful to handle but coming from a breakout its actually quite a breeze
    I ride a special which sits even lower and youd be surprised if you dont look down and focus on the floorboards and just countersteer and send it you can actually push it quite hard through the corners without scraping and it handles it like a champ
    I think you need more time on a road glide.. it does help when you ditch the stock bars for 12-14”aftermarket bars first thing i did, subscribed keep em coming

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  Рік тому +1

      I rode a breakout once and your comment just made me remember how different that thing was to steer. I absolutely need more time on the road glide, it's a great bike! I can't master it and push it to its limits in a 20 min test ride. Thanks for the subscribe! 😀
