Dude, 60MPG???? If Google is correct, that's just under 4L/100km! That's.... Well, I'm not even getting near that with the Twin Cam 103 in my bike. 😲 🙂 I'm not much of a racer, so that bike isn't for me, but I would like that chunk of metal for my mileage. 🤣
To all those thinking they need a $45+k 2024 to have a performance HD touring bike. You can get the same dyno numbers out of a 107 with $2-3k and more out of the 114. Never ridden a Harley that didn’t need something to “fit” my needs. Look forward to watching people unlock the potential of these bikes, but don’t sleep on a good deal that can embarrass a bike 2-3x’s the price, while being setup for you.
I finally got the black ‘24 CVO ST and it is a phenomenal motorcycle. The only change I’m making to it is a Khrome Werks Outlaw Eclipse 2 into 1, which is on a 3 week back order and the Screamin Eagle tuner. I also have a ‘23 RGS with a torque cam and a Khrome Werks Aggressor exhaust that doesn’t come close to the performance of my CVO ST. I rode it for the first time this past Saturday and passed a couple cars on a back road and this thing is a rocket in the higher rpm’s. It gets up to 120 quick and that’s the fastest it will go. Which btw is nothing for me! I’ve been a sport bike guy all my life and use to drag race every weekend. I’ve owned every generation Hayabusa, 4 GSXR-1000’s and a BMW S1000RR. My ‘22 Busa and ‘23 GSXR-1000 were on one of Moore Mafia’s recent videos being Dyno tuned after Brock’s Cams were installed in the Hayabusa. Now at 50 years old these Harley’s give me the comfort I need and this CVO ST is a good mix of style, comfort and performance. I enjoyed the video, subscribed and I’m looking forward to more content on your channel. Keep doing what you’re doing!
I bought it. I love it. I only wish that a lower spec ST version with this 121-HO motor (paired with the track mode) was available to everyone. It’s simply sublime. The execution completely exceeds expectation. It RIPS when you want that and it cruises nice-n-chill when that’s desire. The future is bright kids!
Dude.. I’m so stoked for those other road glides builds! I’ve been patiently waiting for those ever since hearing about them. The burts barracuda bike is going to be insanity! And the tman 124 twin cam is going to be amazing and it’s got such a great story behind it too. I’m here for all of it!
The radio is worse than the GTS, with the same speakers. Volunteer Audio put the radio on the dyno and it produced 9 watts per channel on the standard bike, lowest he’s ever tested, ever.
Absolutely love my CVO ST. I had a 22 blue steel CVO road glide w a 117. Was a good bike but a heavy bike. I traded it in to get the CVO ST. I have the snake venom RGS that after 38,500 miles I had a crate 131 put in it. I had a hard time going from a 131 to a 117. With a 131 you get horse power and torque and what difference when you have both. This 121 high output has more HP and tongue than the 131 and I believe the CVO ST is faster. It’s lighter and those inverted front forks are a game changer in corners on a bagger. Totally blown away by this bike. Best money I’ve ever spent for a new Harley. Adding the saddlebag guards and will upgrade to a 2 into 1 exhaust.
21:00 You can put your thumb underneath the button and pull towards yourself to activate the further side. For example, on the left, to work the horn, you can either press on the horn on the left or put your thumb underneath the signal side and lift it up. Eliminates the need for a reach to the far side
I have this bike - it’s amazing. Some comments after 1000 miles. First a testament to HD build quality - at initial oil change at 900 miles there was virtually no metal in any of the oils from Motor, Primary or Transmission. Minor issues observed were as follows: Seat cowl rubber tends to fold at the top where it hits the seat. HD replaced cowl but I think that problem will reoccur without a better solution. Composite oil pan has non-reusable square drive Plastic drain plugs. Both no doubt used to save weight. Oil pan is susceptible to breakage much more so than a metal pan - so whatever you do, don’t run over anything! Lastly, I notice noise (mechanical humming) on front brake when applied slowing down from 60 to 30 mph with moderate brake pressure. HD says that’s normal. Brakes work fine but the noise is disconcerting if you haven’t experienced it on other bikes. Other than those small Nits, HD hit the ball out of the park with this bike. It’s fast in stock form, handles better than any other stock bagger HD has ever made and the riding experience is exceptional. No question that the setup isn’t ideal for very long distance touring - the standard Touring models are better for that. But for what it is, it’s the very best Niche product HD has made in a long time.
The fairing vent was always reducing buffeting when open, all the way back to the 2014s. The only reason they made it closable was that in very specific rainy conditions it might be better to close it. The side vents inside the fairing on the Road Glides used to be closable as well, but people were leaving them closed and completely defeating their purpose, so they took away the shudders. The fairing vent should be open 99.9% of the time.
I did the demo days in Savannah GA, both the CVO and RG limited got me hooked. The new bars on the road glide is perfect for me as is. I don’t mind the CVO bars though. I currently ride a 08 street glide that’s pretty closer to stock but still fun too
Arguably one of their best bikes ever. When you consider for so long they were sort of stuck in the past, which was fine by me, they kept up with the times with this bike. It’s appealing in every way, except price, to I think a larger market. People who may have previously been on the CVO bubble might be over the hump now after riding this bike. It still will always come down to price though. At $50K, youre looking at a small mortgage payment.
Agree with you. Be able to make the bike what you want of it. Base model and build it the way you want it. Less money. Prob more power. My only complaint is for taller riders you can't relocate that speedo. But I think they did a great job on the bike
I'm glad we have to be happy about bikes not intervening in normal riding by adding modes to let us control simple riding by overcomplicating just riding.
Loved your review. Can't wait to get mine broken in. I only have 300 miles on it and it has been windy and raining, so I will let you know what I think. Thanks
Justin, Those road shot clips with the miles flying by are VERY nice. John, sitting up on the back of the seat doesn't sound very comfortable. I think Goldzilla rides more comfortably.
The new little fairing cubby holes.. Much better than the ones like I got on mine where ya gotta hold It open. Do u need to say BOOP when pressing them ? If not I bet they don’t open Prob used the Cardo link to detect an acceptable BOOP sound
Amazing video ! And amazing bike . I never did ride a road glide, I’m a softail guy but I’m really thinking to go try a road glide and like you said question is : buying a standard road glide and improve it or buy this CVO St. A road glide will be perfect to ride with my 8 years old son in French and Switzerland roads.
First, I have been watching for years and love the content. At about 17 minutes in, you made mention of purchasing the base model because BlockHead Garage can do any performance mods that you would really want on the Road Glide platform. My question is whether or not you have found any issues/difficulties with the VVT found on the new base models, when making performance modifications? Harley has removed it from the CVO ST, and I am just wondering if the VVT obstructs/hinders performance tuning in any way? Cheers.
havnt really seen your videos before until now since this one popped up on my recommended videos saw that it was a cool bike. great video cant wait to see the road glide videos in the future
Agree with the passage pegs they come in clutch for longer rides. Nice to be able to stand up on them as well. The floor boards are to forward to stand. Being able to stand stretch/pick ya wedging 👌. Had no desire to get rid of my 22 ST but these new ST’s got me thinking. Especially the white one. 🤔
Another great vid I've been fan since you had your iron 883 ended up being my first bike. From your test rides to bike equipment all are great keep up the good work.
My first Harley Davidson bike ever I was lucky to grab the CVO ST in black Coming from Ducati pikes peak v4 Will see Love the looks I love anything on two wheels hopefully this one is a keeper
I feel ya there, probably a lot of people do. Back in 21 I was finally able to pull the trigger on a 21 road glide and yesterday I went and test rode a 24 cvo roadglide ST. that’s the first performance oriented Harley I’ve ridden and admittedly it’s a big step up from my 107 roadglide in every way. It’s impressive but I can’t justify the 48k asking price, or even the 43k msrp. Maybe “justify” isn’t the right word….its just too damn expensive for my wallet. lol
Not a bad looking bike. I would have to have a taller screen and I hate the look of the shock reservoirs mounted where they are. The carbon fiber doesn't do much for me either. I do like the newer style bags. Love the lighting this puts out. Personally I like the white better than the black. I definitely would choose a standard over the CVO. Even it has more than I want. I don't use any of the electronics they put on these things except the cruise.
The best part of this bike is the suspension. Have never ridden another stock HD Touring bike that was even close. Please Harley if you filter anything from the CVOs to the main line bikes give them the inverted fork and quality rear suspension.

I don't care for the new digital dash and fairing on the new 2024 Road Glide CVO but that's just me I'm old school everybody's entitled to their own opinion
It's not living in the past like you keep claiming. Just a personal preference. Giant screens may work fine for you, but not everyone wants to be infotained and telling them they're "living in the past" is flat out silly.
What do you guys think of the new 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST? Drop your thoughts and let us know!

I couldn't help to notice that it's missing two more wheels and a steering wheel 🤔
I don't care for the new digital dash and fairing on the new 2024 Road Glide CVO but that's just me I'm old school everybody's entitled to their own opinion
Totally agree..still like to have some analogs with a small TFT..would work too😊
only reason id consider one is the new display and all the other neat upgrades. I hate to live in the past
It's not living in the past like you keep claiming. Just a personal preference. Giant screens may work fine for you, but not everyone wants to be infotained and telling them they're "living in the past" is flat out silly.
