That's right, I did a superhero movie that isn't Turkish or Korean!
Brandon Tenold now review lady robot cop woman
Brandon have you seen cyborg cop 1 2&3
Where is drawned title card
I loved this movie, In Australia they used a full bodyshot of Nicole as the video cover, I loved the mask and the dual SMGs, she was my Lara Croft, she's my game avatar template in any character creation to this day.
@Brandon Tenhold-- first thing; Awesome channel, reminds me of my wasted childhood. Next thing: Those guns were the most awe-inspiring firearms in B-Movie history!
This looks like an American adaptation of an anime that doesn't exist.
And a cheap one at that.
If the script is good enough for a Bruce Campbell cameo then it's automatically a classic film.
He was probably friends with the director. Either returning a favor or doing him a favor.
Well, that depends on how much you enjoyed Serving Sara
Excellent point. Well point.
Fuck yeah, I love Cars 2!
Doctor Strage 2
Now sir, you can't just tease us with Lady Battle Cop like that
Years later and I'm still waiting for Ice Pirates....
YA, NOW i need to know
somebody tell godzilla ninja guy to put Lady Battle Cop
on his list
Just saw it, and it deserves a Brandon review.
Indeed indeed.
*watches LADY BATTLE COP clip, is seized by a burning desire to see the full film*I now begin my mission.......
I will look for you. I will find you.
And i will watch you.

I think one of Nicole's main reasons to leave Baywatch was to not be compared to Pamela Anderson but that same year Anderson came out with Barb Wire (her own superhero flick) and stole everybody's thunder. What a year for a 13yo though!
Demolitionist sounds like a Rob Liefeld character.
CaptainMarvell92 Returns thank you internet, no more callers please, we have a winner 😉
Nah, someone pointed out that Liefeld characters always have "blood" or "death" somewhere in the names.
Methinks Demolitionist is more of a G.I. Joe side character.
@@aderemiporsche G.I. Joe EXTREME.
@@MinscFromBaldursGate92 Nah, she's not covered in pouches, and we can see her feet...
Lady Battle Cop looks like a Hardsuit from Bubblegum Crisis.
which is bad ass
@@xxedgy_outsiderxx9978 true
It does. Although she’s probably not a punk rocker in civilian form.
"talk about heavy metal"
Or a cosplayer.
Trivia: The 'Marlin Man' movie the prison dudes are watching is actually test footage from what would have been the third movie in the giant monster series that began with Zarkorr and Kraa. They simply stuck it in this film to get use out of it.

Looks like we really need to patron Brandon! He can't even afford artist for thumbnails now!
I thought something was off
The first thing you need when you're going into battle with heavily armed criminals: Some good mouth-armor. (Second is a super-form-fitting leather bra, and third is a badass gun that never needs reloading.)
That mouth armor would make a good face mask right now.
Weird plot motivation for the villain. Killing 3 cops would get the death penalty in any state that had it, whether guns were legal or not.
Somebody just wanted to push a corporate anti-gun agenda.
@@MickeyD2012 With how much they're used by all sides if they ever had any agenda they lost sight of it almost immediately.
@@Talisguy Believe it or not, institutions like the "non-profit" Brady Campaign or whatever they call themselves these days exist, and they exist for no other purpose than to further their own existence and employ people in made-up jobs.
@@MickeyD2012 LOL, are you serious? The gun lobby is nothing but arms manufacturers. Why do you think the NRA deliberately pushed a law preventing gun owners from suing manufacturers for injury from defective weapons?
You're a pawn, son.
@@MickeyD2012 That's right, honey. They're all out to get you. No need to think further than that, not that you could.
This film seems in an odd way ahead of it's time, it looks like it was inspired by a games that were released way later like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry. If someone wanted to make a videogame adaptation of it I'd look forward to it, the nanotech stuff and the badass weapons seem like they'd be pretty fun.
It's known that famous japanese devs like Kojima, Kamyia, Itsuno draw theoir inspiration from older american action movies, even B-movies.
Seems pretty retarined when compared when compared to any of those games.

Goddammit!
Whens godzilla vs destroyah
🤣
Hey Brandon, I greatly enjoyed your review of the Demolitionist, by the way I’m listed in the Credits as the 1st Assistant Camera 🎥 man. We shot mainly in Downtown Los Angeles, & San Pedro, The Jail scenes at the old Lincoln county Heights Jail. Nichole was a great lady to work with, & of course Bob, the director was Great too, I also worked on his WISHMASTER.
Of all the fake things in this movie (i.e. at least 25% of Nicole Eggert) The 4 barreled pistol is a real thing. It was a Derringer in .357 often used by law enforcement as a backup gun.
It was also in Matrix Reloaded.
Steve Wang, director of Guyver and Dark hero, also special effects master.
Lady Battle Cop as a future Brandon's Cult Movie Review, I'm down with that. And you're right, the casting feels like they just went to a Horror Convention, and went up and down pointing to everyone they wanted. 😉 Anyways, did enjoy this. Thank you, Brandon.
When seeing Lady Battle Cop I can't help but hum the VR Troopers theme.
I read that as “The Demonologist” and was very confused when we started talking about Batman.
i did too, i was expecting demons, not cyborgs xp
@Sean Wilkinson This caused me physical pain. Excellent work.
YEAH! AND I saw a demon on the thumbnail.....and then Tom Savini.....but that chick was pretty hot and I forgot about being tricked BUT THEN I seen a demon @ 10:53 its a good one.....Tom Savini probably made it. More demons this movie needs.
Funny enough, years ago, I saw it in the TV guide and misread it the same way.
The plot is like Robocop, but because of when it came out it seems like a Mockbuster for Sylvester Stallone's "Demolition Man".
Yes,they really should`ve called it : Demolition Cop.
“Lady Explosion”
Wow, I use to be in love with Nicole Eggert. She was so hot. Heather Langenkamp was a girl I had a thing for since "A Nightmare on Elm Street". This movie review brings me back to when I was young.
I know what an eclectic cast! Its like Tarantino casted this thing! Nicole Eggert should be like Luke Perry in the next Tarantino movie. RIP Luke.
I was half expecting the Demonitionist to be Cynthia Rothrock. Although it would be difficult to do martial arts in that suit.
not really. suit actors in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai have way more components to their armor and they do some pretty insane moves
Probably not as it looks to be little more than a spandex catsuit with a couple of plastic bits taped on.
WHENS LADY BATTLE COP
WOW! That woman sure as hell sounded different in Wizards!
Any retail workers out there who see this movie as HyerKaren: She wants to talk to you manager, and wont take no for an answer!
For a glamour girl, Nicole Eggert is maybe the only female superhero actress that came across as a truly tough woman until Gina Carano appeared on the scene.
Nicole Eggert is really hot in leather - even more than in a red lifeguard one-piece! If this was marketed as a television pilot, it would have kicked off an interesting series!
I would have watched. But it might have ben hard to have a cast that good and iconic to b movie fans every week.
. . .was really hot . . .
No cartoon thumbnail? Awww... ☹️
I know
Yeah, I almost missed it while I was scrolling through, mostly because it didn't stand out on my subscribe list like it normally does. Luckily, I looked closer at the name.
@@JenMistress I was just lucky I was scrolling through UA-cam on my TV and he showed up on the preview clip you get if you highlight a video.
PLEASE do lady battle cop, that looked AWESOME!!!
I so wished Brandon could review that kaiju movie they were watching.
Brandon I wish cinemassacre would get you to guest star on an episode your dry humor would fit in well there.
I Miss My Cereal nah. This guy sucks. Only has one tone. One gear. Sounds like a whiny kid.
Tkdbar have to disagree I do see Brandon recycle old jokes sometime but I enjoy the way he riffs and mirrors his channel like MST3K the way he riffs. His love for old horror and 80s material is nostalgic for me too. Besides Cinemassacre a cross over maybe with deker shadow would be fun too I think.
Cinema Snob too.
One of the villains and Sylvester Stallone's character both came back to life after being frozen in Demolition Man.
17:22 in the future you have unlimited ammo even if you are using a revolver
You know I went straight to Lady Battle Cop.
And yes do that movie too
All the name dropping of other movies in this review and I look up A Gnome named Gnorm. Sure I have poor impulse control but Brandon's title drop is just evil, he knew what he did.
Kurtzman was the K of KNB Effects, which consisted of him, Greg Nicotero and Howard Berger. The fact that Tom Savini is in this is because he is friends with Kurtzman
i found it rather troubling that Brandon didn't mention that.
Thanks for your efforts to brighten up such bleak winter days!
Ngl, I kinda dig the nightmare thing. I haven't seen that before in movies where the character is brought back, and all they dream about is Hell. Kinda makes you wonder what someone who was resurrected like that would dream about, since they probably saw a glimpse of some sort of afterlife.
Honestly I don't remember this movie. But in 1995 I was serving in the Army so maybe that's why.
20:30 That wasn't a brief cameo. That was a Bruce Campbello. I'll let myself out.
I love the Demolitionist, Richard Grieco was an amazing villain
I wonder if the Demolitionist costume inspired Frost from Mortal Kombat X.
“I really gotta do that one someday!”
Why put off till tomorrow what you can do TODAY?
I'm personally waiting for him to do this bit and at the end of the second clip at the end of the review, he just goes "FUCK IT, WE HAVE OUR NEXT EPISODE!" and that's how things end off.
Jailed as part of the anti-firearms amendment, and not the the whole killing people law.. okay.
Clearly California logic here: possessing a weapon is a crime, killing people with it is just rubbing it in society's face.
i was 13 going 14 when i hire VHS tape of this on my local rental and it was low budget sure but fun yeah.
I'm guessing the pink powder blood was their solution to get by the MPAA giving them an X rating and having to go through more edits and submissions.
Yes, the pink powder blood effect really grew on me. Maybe since the director is a special effects guy and he's probably done a million blood effects, he said "this time let's do something that *represents blood instead of being literal." Also it works with the comic-book effect.
meanwhile in 80's Japan they have TV shows inspired by Robocop with Toei's Metal Hero series.
This is one of my favorite youtube channels... keep this shiznit rolling Brandon!
This looks kinda cool, but come on! Now I really wanna see you review Lady Battle Cop! xD
I love how the "grenades" are just capacitors...
For not being a real actor, more like an enthusiast amateur, Richard Grieco is sure is a lot of movies. You should review Almighty Thor someday. I swear he comes back to life after being killed like 5 times in that and probably did it against the director's wishes. :D
10:20, Nanobots son, they harden in response to physical trauma!
14:43
The guy on the left: "Wait, uhh...what do I do with this gun thingie again?"
Ah St. Eggert, the patron saint of omelettes
You know what you’ve gotta do some day
CLASS OF 1999!!!!
Pedro Sepulveda Pam Greer’s no less!
i would give anything to see Darkman, Doc Mordrid, Black Scorpion, and Demolitionist form their own superhero team
I remember staying up late on a school night to watch this on SCI FI---not SYFY lol
6:25, he was in Re- Animator!!
Could you imagine Corman trying to turn ALL his movies into a Corman-Verse... The world sadly will never know.
That city mayor character is like a female version of R. Lee Ermy. (RIP Gunny)
That little four barreled pistol is a regular gun you can buy....
The four barrels make it a pepperbox pistol... Old school design.. :)
There is a crazy back story behind the making of this movie. It's producer, Donald P. Borchers, who also produced the Grace Jones' horror comedy 'VAMP' was approached by Kurtzman after he and Quentin Tarantino watched said vampire movie and Tarantino was so inspired by it that he came up with the idea of 'From Dusk Till Dawn'. So in fear of being accused and/or sued for plagiarism, Kurtzman offered to pay all the costs of developing and also work for virtually free on 'The Demolitionist' and Tarantino went ahead and wrote the script for the hugely successful 'FDTD' and the rest is cinema history...
So this is where the D. Dark character design from Streetfighter EX came from
That little girl looks so annoyed at being taken hostage.
Looked like she rather be in school
I'm wondering why the annoyed little girl didn't just put the bombs down and walk away. I mean, there was nothing stopping her, and she didn't look remotely frightened, much less too scared to move.
3:08 Nancy Thompson became a news reporter after leaving Elm Street...
CommanderOfTheSun looks that way.
Welcome to prime time bitch
"Call that a Dick?"
"No, I call it my "fire hose". Weo-weo-weo"
The set lighting and cinematography look really good.
And I remember that movie with two second-rate actors in it. Nicole Eggert from Charles in Charge, and Richard Grieco. That was back in the days of pirated cable boxes that my grandfather used to sell.
Hell yea, I remember all the pirate stuff, bit different over here in England (but practically the same). We had a dodgy satellite dish at first, then it was the cable boxes, then it was the OnDigital boxes with the pirate cards that had all the channels... Man, even my Dad (who's now nearly 70) had some sort of dodgy Kodi/Firestick thing a year or two ago before I was like "d'ya know what Dad... just use my Netflix account" lol.
Brandon teasing us with lady battle cop hurts so much. definitely gotta get to that one soon
"I can get you syndication royalties for Charles In Charge reruns!"
Because drug habits aren't cheap. I wonder has Nicole bounced back.
@@the9-2-5outlawdoestech9 she has a drug habit? That's sad to hear
6:40
Believe it or not that's a *real* gun design called the COP 357. Interesting stuff, look it up.
Somehow, i'd managed to never be aware of either this or 'Lady Battle Cop'. I think my crap film fan card may be about to be revoked.
You should talk also about Darkman and his sequels. Please.
If looks could kill, let's get Greico a mirror.
The mid 90s to the late 2000s were quite the dark time for comics. If I were to compare this to a real-life era, this would be equivalent to the Golden Age of America (Post WW2)
magical endless supply of ammo for those pistols, the magazines extend into another dimension apparently!
12:20 A Mauser? Where did they dig up that old fossil? These guys need to upgrade to a better class of weapons dealer. Chow Yun-Fat never seems to have a problem getting guns, and his movies are set in Hong Kong.
Just saw that The Demolitionist is on Amazon Prime!!!
2:26, Richard Grieco and Jack Nance are in this!?!
Um, that four barreled pistol is a REAL LIFE HANDGUN. It's known as the COP Derringer and it also showed up in Bad Boys (the will smith/Martin Lawrence cop movie) as well as others.
This just made this cold Canadian morning so much better.
Another film with Susan Tyrrel is Forbidden Zone, directed by Richard Elfman (Danny Elfmans' brother).
always great to see more love for Guyver.
This has been one of your very best episodes in quite a while. Congratulations, Sir! 👍🏼
I'm sure it's no coincidence the movie title uses the same font as that of Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone two years prior.
Love your stuff Brandon.. you are hilarious.. I do remember this movie from when I worked in a video store in the 90s.. never watched it tho.. Too bad Nicole Eggert didnt take her top off tho.. :)
You should do "Natural Born Killers" from the 90's Brandon. Love to see that critique.
Looks like it could be a Mortal Kombat Knockoff too...
10:49 Harvey Weinstein cameo confirmed.
Bambu Fan LOL
1:27 Is that supposed to be blood or are all her enemies filled with pre-mixed Kool-Aid?
Please do Black Scorpion, or as I like to call it, 'Joan Severance shows her amazing body'
And she was on the cover of Sugar Rays first album!!!
Damn
The 4 barreled gun the police used in the mayor's assassination scene was an actual pistol made around that time.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/COP_.357_Derringer
protaganis It’s also the gun that the replicant Leon uses to shoot agent Holden at the beginning of Blade Runner.
I love mornings I can have coffee and a new Tenold review!
I feel like clinking mini bottles and saying "warriooors come out..."
I only watched this movie for Heather Langenkamp. I'd recently become a fan of hers through the ANOES series, and I was on a kick to see as much of her other stuff as I could. It wasn't worth it.
Nancy Thompson ❤️
Tenold will save me from this icy February day, at least for a bit!
Cerberus has been working on bringing Shepard back to life for a lot longer than I thought...
I remember seeing this movie with my grandfather. He was a huge fan of movies like this.
