Origins has what the other Arkham games don't : Memorable boss fights I honestly can't remember a boss fight I had fun with outside of Origins. fyi Ive played all Arkham games.
No way, have u ever even played arkham city? Cus if u had u would know that Mr freeze boss is by far the best boss in the series, heck the Grundy and ras Al ghoul bosses were fun too, I even enjoyed the clay face boss.
My problem with Origins bosses is that they are basically dodging until you get to the programmed spot where you mash square. Then you repeat that two more times. And then CUTSCENE POWER TO THE MAX ignores what you were actually doing, and take care of the boss instead of you. In Asylum and City, when you beat the boss, you feel like YOU beat the boss, not that you triggered a cutscene.
You wanna know why the gameplay was the same as AC? WB Montreal were told to make more of the same on half the budget. I know this cause my friend met one of the developers. It's not a bad game at all, but not as good as the other three.
But you're ok with Joker in Knight even though he died in City and they presented Scarecrow and that cry baby what's his name as main villains? That's where they rammed Joker down our throats.
The Joker was just in Batman's head in Arkham Knight due a number of reasons. In Arkham Origins he can somehow impersonate Black Mask which is completely against his character, plus it would have been better just to have Roman Sionis himself as the main villain.
They aren't getting near the bottom of the barrel 'til they pull out the Penny Plunderer and Roy G. Bivelow, the Rainbow Raider. xD Seriously, though, Zsasz and Deadshot are pretty recognizable. And they put pre-Nolan BANE in the list of barrel-bottomers. Bane. Bane has always been kinda a big deal. Broke Batman's back and all.
Rork, The Game Master Well, its not exactly comics inaccurate. That Bane wasn't Nolan-esque, he was Knightfall-esque. Nolan's Bane was just a bad version of Knightfall Bane. I don't doubt that Nolan's film was responsible for that, though. Bane is a kind of tragic figure. He started off pretty cool, with a gang of escape super crooks.He was tactically brilliant, extremely skilled in combat, and broke Batman's back. But he has a fatal weakness. An addiction to the drug venom. Over time it drives him crazier and crazier, and he becomes more and more of a hulking monstrosity. So in Origins he's not nearly as addicted, I suppose?
@Alforbia I can't speak for the character now after the reboots they've done to the DCU in the comics, but previously Bane had broken his addiction to the Venom drug and had become a stronger individual for it.

They did say that about 1 minute into the Arkham Knight HT, but as the comments say on that page, it was a retarded ass thing to say at the time. HT doesn't actually have real opinions, they just voice what they think the popular opinion is. And when they get it really wrong, they change their 'opinion' and pretend the first opinion never happened.
2:30 What's funny is that both Mad Max and Shadow of Mordor is published by WB. So WB is just trying to re-use that combat system in every game of theirs to make profits haha
that's the point, it was just ok. Asylum and city were amazing and so it disappointing when origins is just ok. Arkham knight though, that one was between amazing and ok
AO had two real problems: 1) The game was horribly glitchy and WB Montreal never released a patch to fix it. 2) Even though the city was 4x the size of the one in AC, it didn't have enough content to support a map that size. Outside the main story, there was only Deadshot, Shiva, and Anarky missions and those weren't enough.
I thought it was pretty good. Though it was really just a sidestep from Arkham City in terms of Gameplay and Design. Heck, they didn't even bother to change the HUD.
+Bjarne Auditore the Deathstroke made it worth while to me. Screw cartoon deathstroke, screw teen titans deathstroke. ties with injustice's deathstroke., all we need is Origen's deathstroke.
I liked it too, but I think is because does not add nothing to the story, is quite a recycling of everything already seen, there are really a few of enjoyable moments (the boss fight with Deathstroke was really epic. And was the first) The ending was quite disappointing. But I will remember this for all the One-line jokes delivered by Batman like "Where is the Riddler?" "Go fuck yourself Batman!" "I have no time for this"
First half is like a weaker Arkham City, recycling missions and shit. Not being as fluent and then the glitches that they never fixed. It does get its own identity later, even if it is through an old villain that I thought we would not see, and would preferred NOT to have seen again.
RC Slyman That's not what the boss was, it was hard and probably one of the most challenging 1v1, it didn't always give you the counter button for things so that made it harder, 3 different stages, his health didn't go down easily, and it felt like a fight
We all know that Spyro (besides Crash) was the King of Playstation. TLOS series did an OK job at bringing him back but it was nowhere near as good as our purple hero from the PS1. Plus, all those Spyro x Cynder fanfictions (shudders), and Activision just took a massive shit on the franchise and said "Fuck you Spyro fans, this is what you get. Have fun, douchebags." Assholes. But nothing's going to stop us from revisiting his old glory days by playing the original trilogy. We love you Spyro, even if you do hate sheep.

This game is still my favorite game of all time the story the voice acting the gameplay everything was top notch and is the ultimate Batman experience sadly Arkham Knight didn’t live up to it even though it was still great

Okay, I'll have the unpopular opinion. Origins is better than Knight. Superior boss battles, actually NEW gadgets, and the Batmobile wasn't around to be shoved into every side mission. And compare Deathstroke's Origins boss battle to the one in Arkham Knight. One game developer understood how Batman should fight Deathstroke. The other did not.
the problem with origins having the new gadgets it has is that it's a prequel so why were they not in the following games when they would have been super helpful to Batman. And Year Two Batman could NOT take on Slade 1v1 I still like origins alright but of the four it is the weakest. Also Bane was cool for the beginning but at the end... just no
I like Origins to but not for its gadgets. Many of the gadgets were highly niche and only served as less versatile versions of older ones like the stun grenade vs the electric gun. Others were way too powerful like the shock gloves that allowed you to button mash your way through enemies, or the line launcher that when fully upgraded allowed you to take out three guys while sitting still. Oh and the glue grenade was just a re-skinned freeze grenade. But yeah Origins boss fights were far superior to Knight's but lets be honest, that's not saying much.
I don't think that's unpopular. Arkham Knight is barely average: poor story and immersion, and they made us overdose on the Batmobile - might as well call it Tank Simulator...
Deathstroke was easy to beat in Origins which is ridiculous considering in the comics Deathstroke has actually beaten Batman more times than he has beaten him. Deathstroke should be the hardest boss fight in terms of straight out hand to hand combat. Otherwise I do agree that he was poorly handled in Arkham Knight.
I only played origins and it was one of the best games I ever played. I don't know how good other games are but people letting themselfs blinded by them and can't see the beauty of it.
He also contradicts himself in the Arkham asylum he says "and inspires great prequels like Arkham origins and shadow of mordor" it's so annoying that people still whine about origins

That wasn't actual comic Bane. That was closer to Animated Series Bane. Comic Bane was never anorexic without venom and was actually intelligent. The Arkham games didn't do Bane justice until Origins.

The only good one was Deathstroke, the rest were boring. For example Firefly: you just throw glue grenades then pull him with your bat claw Copperhead: your just fighting fake versions the whole time Killer Croc: just do a couple beat downs and it's over Electrocutioner: do I really have to say it?
We can oversimplify City's boss battles too! Ra's Al Ghul: All you have to do is dodge a bunch of shit and fire a shockwave into a gigantic sand figure, and then you get to face regular enemies. Mr. Freeze: A predator challenge which difficulty is solely based in the fact that you can't abuse gargoyles. Solomon Grundy: Four words- Dodge, Quickfire Explosive Gel. Clayface: A fight that makes you mash the attack and dodge buttons for about 5 minutes, just so you can end the fight with a quickfire gadget.

One word fans that's y they were really really being very nit picky about it!! Yes it did the same conventions as Arkham City but it had some of its own unique aspects like the way it handled the detective work and the shock gloves which made alot of sense to have!! But for a game not made by Rocksteady it did its job quite well and explained in the story y bats had certain equipment before said events in said other game's!

What I want for a Batman game: just a regular night in Gotham, no city ending threats, just stopping minor crimes, solving murders, saving civilians, breaking up drug/arms deals, that sort of thing, maybe add in some minor vilians in like zzasz(?) or calendar man (first two that popped into my head) to get the full Batman experience
love the game, hated the DLC... seriously, FUCK Cold Cold Heart. Like, Boyle was a twat in the cartoon, sure, but he was still technically in the right. He kicked Fries out of self defense and made sure the guards got out before him. The Boyle in the game was a Fucking sociopath, locking a guard inside with Fries, wanting to develop weapons, and being in with the mob. I doubt even trump is that corrupt.
No, I personally think it was the best one. It had the absolute best and most epic boss fights. The story was actually pretty decent, the detective part of it was much cooler and more involved, and the whole snow/christmas atmosphere was pretty cool. I will never understand why people hated this one so much. The only reason seems to be because it wasn't made by Rock Steady which is a really stupid reason. I think not only did WB/Splash Damage do it well, but did it better. Sure it had a few glitches at first but it's mostly all patched up now.

That's not what the boss was, it was hard and probably one of the most challenging 1v1, it didn't always give you the counter button for things so that made it harder, 3 different stages, his health didn't go down easily, and it felt like a fight

We all know that Spyro (besides Crash) was the King of Playstation. TLOS series did an OK job at bringing him back but it was nowhere near as good as our purple hero from the PS1. Plus, all those Spyro x Cynder fanfictions (shudders), and Activision just took a massive shit on the franchise and said "Fuck you Spyro fans, this is what you get. Have fun, douchebags." Assholes. But nothing's going to stop us from revisiting his old glory days by playing the original trilogy. We love you Spyro, even if you do hate sheep.

Okay, I'll have the unpopular opinion. Origins is better than Knight. Superior boss battles, actually NEW gadgets, and the Batmobile wasn't around to be shoved into every side mission. And compare Deathstroke's Origins boss battle to the one in Arkham Knight. One game developer understood how Batman should fight Deathstroke. The other did not.
the problem with origins having the new gadgets it has is that it's a prequel so why were they not in the following games when they would have been super helpful to Batman. And Year Two Batman could NOT take on Slade 1v1 I still like origins alright but of the four it is the weakest. Also Bane was cool for the beginning but at the end... just no
I like Origins to but not for its gadgets. Many of the gadgets were highly niche and only served as less versatile versions of older ones like the stun grenade vs the electric gun. Others were way too powerful like the shock gloves that allowed you to button mash your way through enemies, or the line launcher that when fully upgraded allowed you to take out three guys while sitting still. Oh and the glue grenade was just a re-skinned freeze grenade.
But yeah Origins boss fights were far superior to Knight's but lets be honest, that's not saying much.
I don't think that's unpopular. Arkham Knight is barely average: poor story and immersion, and they made us overdose on the Batmobile - might as well call it Tank Simulator...
Deathstroke was easy to beat in Origins which is ridiculous considering in the comics Deathstroke has actually beaten Batman more times than he has beaten him. Deathstroke should be the hardest boss fight in terms of straight out hand to hand combat. Otherwise I do agree that he was poorly handled in Arkham Knight.

That wasn't actual comic Bane. That was closer to Animated Series Bane. Comic Bane was never anorexic without venom and was actually intelligent. The Arkham games didn't do Bane justice until Origins.

Firefly: you just throw glue grenades then pull him with your bat claw
Copperhead: your just fighting fake versions the whole time
Killer Croc: just do a couple beat downs and it's over

Ra's Al Ghul: All you have to do is dodge a bunch of shit and fire a shockwave into a gigantic sand figure, and then you get to face regular enemies.
Mr. Freeze: A predator challenge which difficulty is solely based in the fact that you can't abuse gargoyles.
Solomon Grundy: Four words- Dodge, Quickfire Explosive Gel.
Clayface: A fight that makes you mash the attack and dodge buttons for about 5 minutes, just so you can end the fight with a quickfire gadget.

One word fans that's y they were really really being very nit picky about it!! Yes it did the same conventions as Arkham City but it had some of its own unique aspects like the way it handled the detective work and the shock gloves which made alot of sense to have!! But for a game not made by Rocksteady it did its job quite well and explained in the story y bats had certain equipment before said events in said other game's!
The only reason people hated on origins was the gliches post launch plus aswell the wii u version not having multiplayer and the mr freeze dlc

love the game, hated the DLC... seriously, FUCK Cold Cold Heart. Like, Boyle was a twat in the cartoon, sure, but he was still technically in the right. He kicked Fries out of self defense and made sure the guards got out before him. The Boyle in the game was a Fucking sociopath, locking a guard inside with Fries, wanting to develop weapons, and being in with the mob. I doubt even trump is that corrupt.
No, I personally think it was the best one. It had the absolute best and most epic boss fights. The story was actually pretty decent, the detective part of it was much cooler and more involved, and the whole snow/christmas atmosphere was pretty cool. I will never understand why people hated this one so much. The only reason seems to be because it wasn't made by Rock Steady which is a really stupid reason. I think not only did WB/Splash Damage do it well, but did it better. Sure it had a few glitches at first but it's mostly all patched up now.
