Yes, after completing the first area in re7 and seeing a dark, abandoned mansion as the new area I was driving up to I decided to quit the game there and have yet to return.
Even Capcom got complained that RE7 is too scary and they made a puppet show which featured the villains which are the 4 Lords to tell everyone that RE8 is not scary. Yeah, that is real. I'm not making it up. Just check it.

Fun Fact: they use the name of actual Romanian currency and feature real Romanian dishes in this game. Lei actually is Romanian currency and things like "Ciorba di Porc" are real Romanian dishes.
I just thought that was a really cool introduction to Romanian culture and a nice small detail to include in the game.

I've never swore so much at a game in my life. I had super saiyan chills for like 15 minutes, which I don't think is healthy. I may have burnt out a neuron or two.

I literally had to get drunk to do that sequence so that I would not be paralyzed with terror. Not sure if the youngins would agree, but as a man in his late thirties trying to have kids, it was the closest I ever got to hyperventilating.

Things has been demanded the most for RE direction should go:
- A great remake of Code Veronica
- Ada Wong spin-off
- Tofu as playable characters for mercenaries or side mini games in future RE games
- Gets Jill Valentine back and no turning her into a boss or getting blond (go back to dark brown hair sandwhich girl)
- Stop making RE online games and for the love of god, rebooting Dino Crisis with continuation with red haired dino slayer Regina

They made one area scary but it was so effective it's like they condensed the scariness that would have gone into the rest of the game into that one short segment. Seriously, I had to put the controller down and come back to it the next day, that was the only time I took a break.

Fresh new take on the franchise that sets it in a new direction
Second Game - Fifth Game - Eighth Game(?):
Starts to add in complicated plot details that tie into the previous ones
Third Game - Sixth Game - (Ninth Game):
Bogged down experience where the weird plot details overshadow the... functional gameplay.

@@aduckofsomesort Nah Vampires are supposedly weak against sunlight but Dimitrescu ain't, she's more like a bioweapon like Tyrant and Nemesis, Miranda created her I've never heard a created Vampire before, she just looks like one and I think thats what Capcom's aiming it to be coz there are Lycan's supposedly there should be Vampires as well.
Imma say it, this might be the first resident evil game to made me almost tear up at the end. Honestly, the ending was pretty awesome and heartfelt.
