Nitrous oxide requires only 1 cartridge, Nitrogen requires 2.
If using Nitrogen (2): Shake the keg well, after each cartridge is placed in the sleeve, shake up and down, side to side, for 15-20 seconds, and if using multiple cartridges, wait between each cartridge. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes to absorb gas from the 1st cartridge, then add a 2nd cartridge! For best results put it in the fridge for 1 hour after the last cartridge is added (i.e. if only using one cartridge, you can put in fridge right away), to allow nitrogen to fully form (note: it will provide good pours right away, but optimal pour is 1 hour after gas is added).

64 oz is 1.9 L. Make sure you only fill it up 40 oz or 1.18 L. [128 oz is 3.78 L. Make sure you only fill it up 80 oz or 2.37 L]
How is the clean up and maintenance for the tap and tube?
Tapping System: Remove the hose from the keg spear and run hot water through the hose and through the tip of the stout faucet with the tap handle in the open position. If contents have dried soak in warm soapy water and then rinse using the same rinsing method. If desired, disassemble the keg spear and scrub the inside with the small cleaning brush and clean with warm soapy water. Do not wash in dishwasher.

how many drinks can be made on one nitro cartridge??
When using Nitrous oxide, you can use one cartridge to tap the entire keg. A keg holds 40-48 oz of liquid per batch. We do not recommend filling it up past 3/4 of it, even though it is a 64 oz keg, the gas needs room to form. So if you are making 8 oz glasses, that 4-6 drinks per cartridge. If you are making 12 oz glasses, that's 3-4 drinks per cartridge.
Can you store the keg on its side in the refrigerator
Yes and you can use the tap plug to keep it from leaking. Another option: installing faucet horizontally:
Installing faucet horizontally will reduce to 9.5" height, but increase width to 8".

Hi I got a question. When all the coffee settles down from the nitro does all the creaminess and sweetness go away and become regular black coffee again? Sorry I’m new to this stuff and plan on getting one.
Yes if you pour it into a glass, the foam will last 6+ mins. It is best to drink within 6 mins for the foamy nitro experience but there will still be microbubbles throughout the cold brew even after that.
