Luke and Sabrina, your channel is one of the best I've ever seen on UA-cam. unfortunately we live in a world where some people thrive on negativity, stereotypes, racism and prejudice. you do a fantastic job of bringing out the best in every people and culture in all your videos in the various countries you have traveled to. your videos proved that despite the different languages, the different foods, different culture, the different customs around the world, deep down inside, we're not all that different as humans. Keep up the fantastic great work and effort you put in your videos!!
Luke man, gotta give it up, you did very well with this one - the video is so well-balanced, I think you do a great job of keeping us viewers right in the feeling, following your movements, simple and yet very nice cinematography along the way - Well done man (and that opening snack looks stunningly tasty, wow, surely worth the trip!!)
That moment when you find one of your favourite UA-camrs commenting on another one of your favourite youtubers 😊❤ .. #thefeels .I love it ..... Joel , plesse have a chat with Mark, Chopstick Travel , Migrationolgy collaboration .... I would watch the hell out of that ! 😎😎😎
Nothing wrong with sponsors. They need to make money too. Besides, taste good or not is up to individuals. Taste is something developed as we grew up. Due to personal preferences, it is also correct and polite for them not to criticize foods that don't fit their tastes.
hi,love your video so much.I’m shanghainee, born in Shanghai but now I’m living in Japan, Thanks for introducing my hometown. Best wish to you couple, lovely!
I am Canadian and have been to Shanghai twice. Beautiful city! We were on a tour so the restaurant was selected for us. Started in Beijing and went east and 2nd time to West to Shangrila and Tibet. Then 5 day cruise on Yangtse River to see 3 gorge dam. Beautiful scenery and friendly people.
Hi Luke and Sabrina, sending love from Australia! Bumped into you two at the xiaolongbao place in the mall the other day, but didn't say hi cus didn't wanna interrupt you enjoying your breakfast ;) glad you love the soup dumplings!
Sounded like you didn't really care for most of the food in this video. Thank you for an honest review. There is at least one food blogger from Thailand that won't do that. He will give a glowing review whether he likes the food or not. I, personally, do not care for that dishonesty. I like your attitude, demeanor, and the way that you say what you feel. Keep the vids coming and I'll continue to watch them.
That morning pancake looked so interesting and delicious. I could tell from your face, the moment you bit into that pork chop, that it wasn't good. With so many places to eat, you're bound to run into some fails. At least you had some fascinating music and dancing in the park to offset the disappointment. As always, great content and editing, Luke and Sabrina...always a pleasure to watch.
Thanks so much, and yeah actually the fried pork place wasn't part of our original plan. The original place had a notice on the door that they were closed until the end of August. Oh well!
Luke and Sabrina, what I like and good to see is the hygienic way the food stall sellers handled food and having their mouth covered to prevent spits. I always thought their hygienic has left a lot to be desired but I have been proven wrong. Happy eating and you flip from Lebanon to China just like that. Is this old footage which you have not posted?
I am so happy to see your growth. That’s awesome 👏 You work so hard, you totally deserved it. I love how honest you truly are. Thank you For sharing ❤️
Hello Luke hello Sabrina the food look delicious. Is 12.45 am monday now in singapore instead of sleeping i am eating dumplings while watching your video
NINE for a jianbing?? 太贵了!You two have a gift for finding off-the-beaten track snacks. Whenever I visit China, I eat as many jianbing as I can find, but I've never seen a spinning griddle, even after a month in Shanghai.
胖子煎饼 is my favorite jianbing in china. Because this jianbing didnt make you feel sick, even if you eat a lot. If you will come back to shanghai again, pls add floss, will be more and more delicious sweet and salty together yum!!! Worth it to eat, even if the location is so far away from my place. 😋 i wish i can entry back to China as soon as possible 🙏
That was a unique way to prepare the dough into the skillet hot big pan.Looks not easy cuz is hot but very well executed. Loved the jian bing with scallions infused inside.Shanghai urban landscapes that connects to nature/park and wide boulevard packed with massive crowd. The noodles with sesame paste looks appetising.🍝Nice trip with delightful snacks😋😋😋
That jian bing is very special. I wonder how the green onion pancake vendor managed to wrap so much green onion without breaking the pancake. I think old school Chinese likes it super oily. I think the duck might have been good because they hung it dry to crisp up the skin, but that pork chop looks awful. The sesame noodle looks kind of good, and the soup dumpling, too. Always good to watch you two travel and eat!
That breakfast prep and dish looks amazing! Was the crabmeat real, or imitation crab meat? I hate imitation, it turns me right off. Were the Szechwan noodles cold? I love that dish! Extra spicy, extra green onions!
I have been to beautiful Shanghai city. On a tour from America. Walked around here in shopping district for about 3 hours, we did not see one white person. A beautiful people. So loving, friendly and kind.
@@LukeMartin I think Jian Bings are more famous in the north eastern region. Chinese settlers who came to my country come from the South, like Fujian province etc. 😬
Can you guys do a video on your mandarin? Like where are you guys at with your mandarin and your journey of learning the language. It might be helpful for many of us.

Highly underrated. Deserve many more subs. Peace...
Thanks Mike!
Just a correction, Jian Bing is actually not traditional Shanghai breakfast, but northern Chinese food (originally from Tianjin I believe)
Right! Thanks!

A small Frappuccino from Starbucks costs about $5. You got 2 dozen soup dumplings for the same price. That’s pretty reasonable I would say.
Plus he got salmonella (at best) as a bonus, cant really turn down a good deal
always great vid, a lot of tips and most important ; honesty!!! hate other bloggers with sponsors

Hahah thanks buddy!
lol that jianbing spot is right next to my hs . I used to have that for breakfast everyday, would definitely go back and try it again sometimes
I've never tried a pancake-like that before umm looks good great video.
That's Indian food not Chinese..it's called dosa..pan cake is thicker though of similar ingredients..pancake is a staple food of South india

I miss ur live vid it depends on people who taste the food for me I want a honest opinion keep it up bro more power and keep safe

น่ากินมากหิวข้าวเลยค่ะ
The "fatty jianbin" is next to my parents apartment, definitely one of the best jianbin places you can find in Shanghai.
So lucky!!
It nice to know you're telling the truth. Keep it up and thank you.
Luke, they added a glob of pork lard in each scallion pancake, no wonder it was really greasy inside. The fried pork chop looks greasy too.
Both quite greasy
Really hope you guys enjoy trip in China! BTW street foods in Nanjing also deserve a try😜
We’ve been there before and had some really good street food!
Luke Martin That’s sooo cool! My favorite one is Tangbao and my grandma always make that for me.😁 Looking forward to your next video!
Hi Luke! Would like to check whether is the taxi fares in shanghai expensive? Thanks
Any advice for visiting these places if your Chinese isn't any good yet?
I wish we have Jian Bing in the Philippines 😭
None in Binondo? 😔😔

Good choices!!! We tried to get a pair of shorts there but unfortunately, the sizes were limited! Thanks as always and take care 😊
One way to eat the soup dumpling is bite a small hole on top of the skin and drink the soup first followed by eating meat inside
Yeah that's the best! But there were no spoons here!
Luke Martin lol
I'm going to Shanghai in October, my airbnb is next to South Shaanxi Road Station. 0:50 you like that area?
jianbing is surly one of the best breakfast even is a street food.
So good!
