Thanks for watching our breakfast tour in Kaohsiung! Next up is our SRI LANKAN food series! I can't wait to share it with you guys! :) Follow along here : instagram.com/chopsticktravel & facebook.com/chopsticktravel
Go to my uncle's Japanese restaurant in Taipei! It's called Ryori Nippon, Address: No. 11號1樓, Lane 240, Guangfu South Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106 :) pls do a review if you can!! Hope you guys like it!
As a hearing person, I think it's great that your channel has started including closed captions for not only your English speaking viewers, but for those from which county you have visited. The hard of hearing/deaf community is not only appreciative, but is a large group of people who seek out UA-cam content the same as hearing individuals and its awesome that your channel is striving to be inclusive. I see your efforts and I commend them 👍🏼
Happy to see you again in Taiwan
Love your videos- beautifully filmed and cleverly researched + nice genuine people.
I love your videos because you have so much detail. Interesting and entertaining too. Keep up the good work!!
Glad you enjoy :)
The whole COUNTRY! Absolutely 💪💪💪🇹🇼
Thank you for sharing your food guide in Kaohsiung. We'll definitely try these recommended foods for snacking. Can't wait for next month.
My hometown in Taitung #台東 has the best 豆花. 😎 OTOH, that citrus touch does look interesting.
Love to watch your videos! You and Mark Wien are my favorites travelers! From California with love
Thank you for subbing! I like showing my mom these videos and it’s cool when she can actually understand what is going on
Hello, how are you doing😊
Nice episode guys looks delicious. New subscriber here nikos from Cyprus!!
What Sabrina and Luke succeed is doing is make us all aware that we really live parochial lives in our familiar environments and out there, there's world to explore and cultures to experience and people to meet, worlds without end, while all I know is how to get to Paddington Station.! Travel is the key. Travel and more travel. In a lifetime, you'll never be able to see it all, but, by golly, it's something worth a damn good try.! Since retiring I've been to 17 coutries in 20 years and I always want more. My bucket list includes Australia, New Zealand, Japan, all of South America and all of Eastern Europe and Russia. I've covered the rest. And Luke and Sabrina are right. Of course you go to see the museums and interesting places but to experience a country you do the street food, not the fancy restaurants. That lets you in to what the people are eating. The suits can keep their fois grass and duck breasts, I'll take tofu and stir-fry every time. More power to both of them. Nice young couple and people enjoy meeting them. They are the definition of 'Ambassadors of Goodwill.'
Luke video was mouthwatering🤤 ..so good ...hope to visit Taiwan once in life.......thank u like and sabrina for grt foods 🤩🥰

Neutral 69 hell nah

The last one was my fav
Thankyou for adding subtitles, I have been on a train for 2 days and it’s hard to hear the video. It really helps.
A train for 2 days?!
Luke Martin we took a train to Anaheim from Albany Oregon. It’s a 30 hour ride
@@LukeMartin Hello, how are you doing😊

Thanks Fu Chen! Glad you liked it :)
Loved the video keep up the good work love and peace from Pakistan$😘💞👏💖💟🤗
Thanks Adil!
After seeing a lot of your vids, it is clear that Taiwan is WAY cheaper to eat than Japan! If I ever get the money to travel, it's off to Taiwan for me!!!!😻
Sabrina got some serious sunburn that day
😂😂 Yes she did!
Hands Down to my Favorite Vlogger
🙏🙏

Beautiful foods and treat very good healthy foods lots of them and steam paws is very good fresh healthy foods bau look good thanks
i really love the look of that last dish, with the rice and the meat. "Tong Zi Mi Gao-Tube Rice Cake" looks yummy. i dont think i'll eat it with the ginger tho.
Its one of our favourites!
有中文字幕真棒!
I like your subtitle, luke 👍👍😋
Thanks I appreciate it!
@@LukeMartin u'r welcome.. Btw i'm your subscriber from Indonesia.. Salam kenal, Terima kasih! :)
Wow!
BTW.. what do you guys do to stay fit? exercising and where?

For sure! Thank Michael!
Love from india...your video is awsome
Thanks Paras! Cant wait to visit again!
I love how the noodles come with soup and dry versions in Asia.
Good vlog.,.,👌👍
Thanks Sohail!
The food looked so good. The boaza looking so scrumptious & juicy😍. The only way for me to get one here in Amish country is to make my own😢. I'm going to have to go shopping for the ingredients and make some now 🤗. Love your Vlogs & you guys keep up the great work. GB
Hope you can make some home made boaza!
great stuff :) wont be able to make the live stream on sunday though :/ its at like 5 am here
Ahhh sorry :( we will adjust the time for the next one!
@@LukeMartin no worries, its always 5 am somewhere :)
Tsai Chicken Silk Noodles and Tong Zi, my pick. and I paused you so many times to see how you hold the chopsticks LOL. I'm working on it, and I have to find a place here that sells those baskets they cook the noodles in they are nice.. Peace
haha hope you can get the chopsticks down soon!
At the last store you missed the awesome soup, the steamed egg soup! It’s very unique and special. Hope you can try it someday!
Next time for sure!
The food looks amazing, as usual! Just curious as to what is the average temperature is in the afternoons?
Quite hot this time of year!
I am at Xiang Long Ju right now, sooooooo good ❤
Edit: just had 2 bowls of Do Hua 😋
Edit again: this evening I also had some Tong Zi Mi Gao (amazing)
wow, he came to taiwan, hoping he came back to Vietnam, looking forward to seeing him
Luke, Tou Hua has no flavor at all just like Tofu. as I recall when I was little. all the flavors comes from the soup and the toppings. btw, was the Tou Hua soup sugary and ginger flavor in the shop you went to?
I'm Taiwanese but I followe Luke's food lists of Taiwan. also recommended to my foreign friends when they come Taiwan.
Awesome! Glad you like them!
Extra Thumb flavoring added to the dou hua
They definitively hit some of the best and most famous places to eat in KHH. All in south KHH (and no North KHH representation) but that’s all good because the oldest and most established are in the south.
One thing is the drone shots didn’t look like KHH. Maybe a district I’m not familiar with.
Golly Luke that big breakfast with the carb overload shows how hungry you were.
That "carb overload" of shaobing-youtiao 燒餅油條, combined w/ savory soy milk, is now the favorite breakfast item among some even non-ethnic-Chinese food critics in the U.S..
2:30 "carb overload" that sounds exactly like a typical Western breakfast :) when I'm eating shao-bing and/or yiu-tiao I always eat it with sweet soy milk. It's the perfect combo, the breads balances out the sweet, and the soy milk balances out the relatively dry shao-bing. Shao-bing yiu-tiao by themselves is too dry as a sandwich. If I want a sandwich I usually get the scallion pancakes with egg inside. The scallion pancake is not as dry. Ugh now I'm hungry for some Taiwanese food...
🤣🤣
@@LukeMartin commented before finishing the video.. that 豆花 and 米糕 looks good. Definitely two of my favorites. Speaking of traditional, have you had 米糕 where the 筒 is actual bamboo? Probably hard to find now days, but the rice has a nice bamboo flavor, kind of like zhong-zi wrapped in bamboo leaves.
Hi Luke and Sabrina,I hope everything is well with you guys, hello from Toronto! My partner and myself are planning for a trip in Taiwan on Jan.2020,Can yo7 please recommend any affordable ,nice, clean hotel to stay for at least four days and restaurants to visit and of course foods to try and places to go.I would appreciate any recommendations from you, thank you.
Julie Casugay You better hurry and decide. Besides New Year we also have Lunar New Year in January. Great time to visit but you know it’s gonna be packed with people traveling locally as well.
The two bread items would be OK if they had a jelly or something to put on them
The noodles ...I''m all in it.... looked real good
Not a fan of soft tofu.....the last dish looked good I'm surprised Luke didn't put any
sauce on his dish?
Excellent video of food and the sights...waiting for the next one
Thanks for watching :)
您好!請問這影片可以分享在粉絲專頁上嗎?謝謝
I bet the food in Taiwan 🇹🇼 are pretty damn good
It is!
Manskickz, it's cheap and fresh too! Kaohsiung is where I'm from. I adore Luke and Sabrina exploring my part of the world and make me hungry every time I watch their blogs.
One of the world's best... try their European and western dishes are even better than that in Europe (not as heavy nor salty)
If you are flexible, the food is crazy good.
I’m in Taipei now and been here over a week and the food is just simply amazing. So many different types to try.
There videos are so cool and yup I’ve been to the places they have and definitely agree with how cheap and tasty they all are 👍
Thumbs up!!!
Clark
Thanks Virginia!
i like the noodles
So good!
I love is video, thank you for sharing! My all time favorite 豆花 is 龍潭豆花 in Taipei near NTU, please try it out!
The Monto Shop in the Morning Market Is Opened Since I were a baby,i was born in 1978
yum 😊👍❤
❤️😊
god bless you
I ❤ Taiwan
us too! ❤️❤️
I would have loved the baos that Sabrina had, they looked awesome but don’t think I could take the next roll...the real dense one. Seems like it would sit in you stomach all day. What city do you guys live in?
We are always traveling!
We eat that citrus fruit 金桔 with whole peel.
Hi Luke. Next time you can try order "half you tiao" that will make you not too "big bite"
good idea! Thanks!
I liked the video, as always, but the captions take up too much of the screen. Could you edit UA-cam's automatic captions instead, so the text is there for people who need it but turn-offable?
Is there any bao zi without pork ??
No views and 10 likes already.
Anyways, this is really a great guide for me prior to visit to Taiwan next year. Thanks a bunch, guys!
😂 UA-cam... thanks for watching!
Hahaha, Luke I guess you guys have become one of the tour guys! I think you guys should start charging people..... 😅😅😅😅. Just kidding. Rahadianto, bring enough of cash and a huge empty stomach, you will need it. Lol
what about breakfast buffet in your hotel?? Or in other hotel..so famous/price$..cheap
Nice video.
I prefer soft subtitle than hard subtitle (hard sub embeded in the picture, cant be switched off). Anyone?
Yes I know, from now on no more hard subtitles!
Thanks man!
Am I the only weirdo that my brain must read the subtitles even though I don't need to and then I miss out on all there is to see? I drive myself nuts!
Sorry Kammie, no more subtitles in the next episodes!
😂 I’m just weird lol keep on keeping on!
@@Kammie1211 Hello, how are you doing😊
great
Please go to Wandan,Pintung County ..their beef innards soup there is the best..
Sounds good! thanks for the recommendation!
Hello, how are you doing😊
Enjoyed the video! (although not a big fan of the burned-in subtitles, as I find them a bit distracting)
Only for this episode, next time no more!
Omg Sabrina's arms look really sunburned... hope you're ok! You should try the mantou as a substitute for rice. They soak up all savory sauces really well and tastes better than just by itself
She had a pretty nasty burn this day haha she's fine now!
Looks like you got a bit of a sunburn. Remember the sun block!!!
I love your channel and enjoy the content.however I suggest that u and Sabrina should order different variations of a dish instead of the same.a little taste test.
Good idea!
