    I frequently watch a commercial or two for stuff I absolutely don’t need just to support channels like this one.

    Mike, great video! It didn’t help me with my phone sound problem. Notice how a audio from a landline sounds so different from a cell phone. It’s like it lacks the bass and depth. A cell phone is clear and sounds like the person in in the same room, but a landline sounds so distant.

    Love the phone call too videos. Is there anything we can do to make these calls sound less tinful?

    • @MikeRussell
      @MikeRussell  3 роки тому +1

      When you analyse the audio in either spectral frequency display or the frequency analysis window you'll see telephone audio is very narrow band. You'll be lacking a lot of the frequencies you'd need to make the audio sound full. But you'll also be able to see in the spectral frequency display the frequencies where are most prevalent and it's those that you'll want to adjust via EQ to sound less tinny.

    • @MikeRussell

      The principals are the same, you're just working with a slighter larger frequency band

    Can this be done on iOS GarageBand? If so can you make a video on it?

    • @MikeRussell
      @MikeRussell  2 роки тому +1

      Mobile apps are generally cut down versions of the computer versions. I'd suggest if you're doing serious editing you'd be better using a computer.

    I'm dealing with a low-frequency distortion mixed with the vocals. I have all the iZotope RX stuff but can't seem to get rid of it. I can isolate the unwanted effect but can't seem to invert that to just keep the vocals. The recording sounds like someone had their phone in their pocket to record the vocal interview so it's muffled or like a semi-distorted phone call that was recorded.

    How can i use capture noise print (Shift + P) for live streaming?

    • @MikeRussell
      @MikeRussell  4 роки тому

      Hi Tahir, you’d need to use a hardware solution to be able to attempt this in a real time live situation. A software solution would introduce too much latency.

    • @tahirgshahid
      @tahirgshahid 4 роки тому

      @@MikeRussell Thanks a lot for your reply, i am happy with too much latency. can you please guide me how to do it using Audition?

    • @MikeRussell
      @MikeRussell  4 роки тому

      Hi Tahir, I can't see how you'd be able to do this live as you wouldn't have a noise print to capture. You need the noise print available to capture to run so this a post processing technique.

    This is a godsend. I have a client who’s guest called in and his audio is tinny and trash. I thought I’d be spending hours cutting out when he speaks and tweaking it but this is so much better. I might actually get to sleep tonight. 🥲🙏
