- I have been searching and waiting for a long time but I finally upgraded my gas motor on the mini bass boat... and its AWESOME!

Awesome man, super stoked for you, there's nothing like spending your hard earned money on stuff that will benefit you. Just make sure you keep up with the maintenance, it will last a lifetime. Also, raise the motor up a bit, you look to be a bit low, you want the anti-ventilation plate flush with the hull to about 1" below (on that style hull). You can accomplish that with a simple jack plate, or even a ripped 2x4 or square tube between the bracket and transom, and PLEASE use some bolts on that thing...don't trust those clamps, and it's also a theft deterrent.

That's awesome. Using your original modification vid on your boat as inspiration, I'm finishing up my casting deck. I found someone who was looking to downsize and traded my 2021 8 hp merc for an elec fuel injected 2021 15 hp with about 10 hrs. What a score. What did you do with your first motor?
I'm hoping to finish it up in the next couple of days. I'm running a bow trolling set up like you first motor. That upgrade is a couple years down the road. Looks like your build is holding g up well. Great job.

Did you consider a Tohatsu? They make EFI option down to 9.9hp including a 15hp. The EFI would have been nice.... Especially if you don't have a ethanol free fuel available. Carbs + Ethanol E10 is a PITA over the long term. I bet if you put one of those hydrofoils on your outboard that would help top speed and efficiency too.
Yup I was looking at everything. Heard some great things too but at the end of the day I had to choose something and went with Yamaha. Yeah I've been messing with the trim to see what will be the best and might get some kind of board too

This is sick man, I am rebuilding a boat of my own it’s a 14 foot fiber glass, it’s super sterdy, I rebuilt a 1988 eveinrude 15hp, Ahyways hope u have fun🎉

are you going to be taking it off/on from the boat? or just leave it on (transom saver, straps, etc)? That thing is going to zoooom!
Its staying on for the season then I will take it off and store it inside for winter. Ohh yea it flys! Im so happy :)
