we need such type of great professor in our university..
The indepth knowledge of NPTEL professors is incomparable. It's valuable asset for civil engineering students as well as for teachers like me.
actual diff b/w private inst &iit
wonderful teaching...i wish 2 have my lecturer like you....great
dont ever remove it.....................please it will always help the civil community....
Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Mechanics of Solids - IITM 2.9 Beams - BMD & SFD
If you're interested in general beam deflections, search for Global Beam Deflection Equations, a 3-video set showing the derivation and use of a single deflection equation that works for multiple beam/load combinations, or visit the website shown there.
here in canada teachers r not good like you sir , you are the best
Can I meet u
Thank you. it helps a lot during interview..
@ 24:30 you called upward negative and downward negative.?? how is it correct....
Thank u for clearing my doubt sir....
The last most point which you mentioned proved very much helpful. Today i solved an ESE question and committed the same mistake..
A beam a AB 5m long is supported at end a and b two point rods are placed at C and D, 1m and 3m respectively from the end A if the reaction at A is twice the reaction at B find the ratio at rod w1 and w2
i was looking for the lecture for a long time this is definetly going to help. Bending diagram and shear diagram. Thank you!
very useful sir!! Thanks for uploading!!
great work sir...
Sir moment vector is a free vector .Is it apt to use the word concentrated moment here ?
super sir I like your way explaining thanlyou soo much and please in your next video please explain about point of countraflexur please try it.
Sir there is one question for me that why the BMD of the scissor problem is in triangular shape?
at 10:50 , Is the answer still same ? Pure bending ?
I think no coz rxn forces will be different at 2 ends and there wont be couples, and the shear force is not zero there
Thank u sir...very helpful to me..plss upload more videos of this sir..
Hi....how r u.
(Loading and b.m. diagram from s.f. diagrams)Give some numerical on this problem
I am confused for the sign convention used for making SFD. Please explain me what is the correct sign convention for shear force

Very helpful
Jst maintain d sequences of lec
N lookout for the audio n vedio qualities
your explanation is really good.
I request that how to calculate the shear stress induced in a welded joint
w=mass(kg) times acceleration due to gravity(m/s^2) per unit length(m) and not mass(kg) times area(m^2) per unit length.
At 26.27 why did the sign come as negative .
I do appreciate sir.
really awesome....... THANK YOU SIR
actual diff. between nit and iit.......thanks a lot....
MECHANICAL ROCKS
pls sir upload influence line of rolling load ....b Tech
very nicely explained
awesome teaching sir
I am a mechanical engineering student.. from professional course so please prkvie lecture of mechanical engineering..
Thank you sir........ 😊
very helpful video
GREAT...........
Nice teaching

Nice explain we need you sir
Excellent
Thank you 🙌
Thank u. For uploading
thank u sir.
its very useful
thank you
Super duper sir
i wish i could pass this exam that im having back from 1 year
did you?
awesome
T̶h̶a̶n̶k̶ y̶o̶u̶ s̶i̶r̶ 👍
watch it's 1st part ua-cam.com/video/vidZ1p82oCg/v-deo.html
and then this video for better understanding.
Thank god I'm not a science student.
Why the hell would you watch a 45 minutes' lecture on Statistical Mechanics?
Oh! I see, you are not a science student.
its out of pure passion for the subject i watched this video.Any subject require some kind of passion if you need to learn. If there is no passion it would be non-interesting.
NICE
T
not bad !
please dont remove
My god 9 year pahle comment Kiya h.. Didi
The lecture is actually not very useful for beginners,,u didn't explain how we can calculate from a given value
hindi lecture plz
so, why u write in English ??
if you are doing engg in hindi, then you should probably quit
The only 2nd year old
diploma
Thank u. For uploading
