I don't think so. The Ruined King was right next to his wife when the Ruination began, and I don't think he ever left her side (except temporarily when she's called by Yorick to help him take a tower).
Since he is pillaging graves, it stands to reason that he would search for a corpse. And since all that drove him in the last weeks of his life was his love for his wife, (wuhu a rhyme) it would make sense that he searches the world for her corpse.
@@Local_commentor hell yeah, good call, lethality is amazing on a lot of ADCs, it's absolutely phenomenal on Caitlyn (you can literally 1 shot squishies from 100% hp late game, turns it into "Press R to Remove lol")... tip: if "you're running Lucian in a *solo lane, rush a Sanguine Blade.* 5k worth of pretty much perfect stats with the passive up, I thought it was an assassin item and would go away a few seconds after being spotted, but no, it stays up the entire time, I main top lane ADCs, this item is EXTREMELY effective on Lucian, Kindred, Quinn, Caitlyn and Tristana (even Vayne, but against bruisers and tanks it's better to rush Kraken Slayer, on hit > lethality on Vayne since she has no ability that does consistent, reliable physical damage) and Lucian is like the highest tier / most meta ranged top laner in the entire game and has been for a long time... Kraken Slayer is great with his passive but it can wait, Sanguine Blade is most useful in the laning phase where the passive is always up, also Sanguine Blade passive gives more attack speed than any item in the game (up to 80%) which synergises EXTREMELY well with Kraken Slayer :) If you play Lucian bot lane ADC disregard that, Sanguine Blade sucks in duo lanes. I think Lucian is better as a solo laner anyway, abilities that scale with level, awesome dash that helps in top lane far more than any other lane, Quinn is easier and harder to kill 1v1 but Lucian is a LOT more threatening, a good Lucian can make top lane a nightmare for his opponent. I like Caitlyn top the best but that's a whole different playstyle haha.
Honestly, this is their best job. Not only they gave her more personality than Lucian's wife, they also managed to move story to a great place and create a unique character, in my opinion. While listening I had chills all over.

Her ultimate is global and gives shield while dealing damage. This is the first global supporting ultimate after soraka. Both of her talents are unique.

Nah I doubt it, he probably be out the latest 2024 or as early as 2020. I was talking to riot and they have plans for more lore champs. So the ruined king could easily be added if they want to introduce a new adventure and region. Update : I was right 2021 boys here we come.

As in all bad vs the good Storys Lucian is about to be defeated then plot twist Thresh grabs him rather then taking his soul allowing Lucian to destroy the lantern :D and ofc good beats the evel once again beacuse evil is incompetent in anything they do
I still can't get over the fact that one of Lucian's pistol was cut in two, yet he still has both of the pistols in game. Did he just go to the light sentinels and asked for a replacement?
I'm pretty sure they were able to repair it. His pistols are just relic stones with bronze handles. In Homebound Lucian notices his weapon has a small break and tells himself to repair it sometime.
@@lorenerd7780 Thank you! I guess those are really just some stones that help channel the inner energy (or what's called) of the weilder. Which also makes sense for the gameplay. Think of Nidalee's spear as basic attack ammo or Draven's axes who deosn't do magic. :D
i think that lucian and senna need to have an interaction with the blade of the ruined king now as they know his threat also if the ruined king is released as a champion this could be made into a movie which would be dope

So I'm fairly new to the the game and don't really understand too much of it, but I have recently found a massive appreciation for the love of the lore put into it. As stupid as it sounds, quite a few of the stories of the characters has brought an actual tear to my eye. The last time I have been this hooked on a games lore is from the early days of WoW/Warcraft and it's actually really nice to be able to re-live that interest.
Its complected area to begin with because if they put the story there and be able to bring the old isles that will give us a really different look champions in the future which is good and bad in the same time In one hand we will get to know the original isles more ,in the other hand there will be no new champs such as heca or thersh I love the story though but its hard one because it effect the game
the ruined king is still grieving over not being able to bring back his wife, he is looking for a strong life essence to be used as a host. that is probably why the black mist always followed senna. i bet this whole time the ruined king still couldn't be with his wife in death after using the spell, so a strong life essence is the only probable thing he could think of to see her again.
As a Thresh main... I'm not happy at all. I much preferred him being an actual jailer and torture master with a highly sadistic streak over a wimpy mage angsty about not getting recognition for his talents. There's something infinitely more scary about a creature whose main personality trait makes him both formidable and fearsome, but also is his own greatest weakness.

I mean his Item is only Botrk so he cant build tank or anything like that but his pathway to Botrk is split into segments something like Victors weapon. Basically as Bork is builded by cutlas imagine having 6 different items to get him his Blade after that he gets a boost in dmg or somethin like that. I think he should be having lets say 3 versions of it as well its Broken and when he completes all 3 his basic spells gets more dmg or somethin. This could be cool and somethin we didnt see
I really hope they add the ruined king as a champion. I've always loved the Shadow Isles lore, and how it crosses with some of my favorite bilgewater champions (illaoi). Yorick was one of the first champions I mained and one of the first champions lore I explored. I think it's one of the most interesting stories in the league universe, really glad they've expanded on it with senna, but really we haven't learned anything we didn't already know from yoricks lore. We know the key to stopping the shadow isles is the ruined king but we know so little about him. Yorick has been searching for him for centuries(?) with no luck. Just imagine how cool it would be to get the ruined king as a champion and how much it would expand the lore. Pls rito put him in!!

Hm, Thresh's story was updated from the original. I think his lantern was a special artifact even before the ruination, and I kinda liked that little tidbit. Gave some more depth and mystery to the character, almost like the lantern was somewhat sentient and Thresh was feeding it to benefit them both. Still, nice to see all this new content, and thanks for laying it out.

It'll be cool if RIOT create a skin for Thresh when he was still a human. Instead of a chained sickle, it's a book and he's using magic to project his skills. Like, instead of hooking the enemy, he captures them with magic, and when he use flay, he waves his hand to create a shockwave/mist, for his lantern, it's a orb of light. And for his ulti, it's a tower of runes, creating a field of mystical magic. And instead of collecring souls, he collects orb of lights.
Out of curiosity does anyone else think the keys Thresh carries looks awefully simular to the keys on that Demon Graph they just released, i wonder what else the Warden is hiding.
I mean depends on how you look at it sena has always been a side character and now she’s a character. When Lucian gets a story Lucian will be the main character and Sena will be a notable side character and vice versa
Just a few things that I think you got wrong on the story of the ruined king. Kalista set out to find someone to save the kings wife and made contact with the blessed isle because they allowed her to pass through the mist and they gave her a way to come back to the isle through the mist again because they believed they could help the queen but when she arrived home she was surprised the queen was dead and that’s when the king ordered her to take him to the blessed isle. Only once they got there did they refused to help because she was dead. Also the king didn’t order hecarim to attack hecarim simply betrayed Kalista and stabbed her and ordered his men to ransack the isle because he wanted to. The king didn’t really care he just went to the well of life. Also I think some debates can be made on if thresh knew what was gonna happen. Personally I think he did

It'll be cool if RIOT create a skin for Thresh when he was still a human. Instead of a chained sickle, it's a book and he's using magic to project his skills.
Like, instead of hooking the enemy, he captures them with magic, and when he use flay, he waves his hand to create a shockwave/mist, for his lantern, it's a orb of light. And for his ulti, it's a tower of runes, creating a field of mystical magic.
And instead of collecring souls, he collects orb of lights.

I'm not sure how I feel about Lucian getting almost demoted to supporting protagonist with the current story.
This ist just because Senna is new and needs more Lore they are both Main Protagonist in there shared stoy
More like they demoted senna to a side character when Lucian was released and then brought her back from where she belonged for her released.
I mean depends on how you look at it sena has always been a side character and now she’s a character. When Lucian gets a story Lucian will be the main character and Sena will be a notable side character and vice versa

Just a few things that I think you got wrong on the story of the ruined king. Kalista set out to find someone to save the kings wife and made contact with the blessed isle because they allowed her to pass through the mist and they gave her a way to come back to the isle through the mist again because they believed they could help the queen but when she arrived home she was surprised the queen was dead and that’s when the king ordered her to take him to the blessed isle. Only once they got there did they refused to help because she was dead. Also the king didn’t order hecarim to attack hecarim simply betrayed Kalista and stabbed her and ordered his men to ransack the isle because he wanted to. The king didn’t really care he just went to the well of life. Also I think some debates can be made on if thresh knew what was gonna happen. Personally I think he did
