- Ray Comfort, a Christian evangelist, has some tough conversations in today's evangelism clip. He talks with a very self-righteous couple who don't think they've sinned much, and he talks with an older atheist who isn't too interested in listening to what he has to say about the gospel. And yet the Lord could still save all of them in a moment. Pray for them.

Ok I am so sad about the older man. But I do know of an elderly Atheist man, Joe, was dying of cancer. My friend and I tried to share the Gospel w/him but he kicked us both out of his hospital room. That night I wept b4 the Lord over this man's rejection of Christ. Long story short weeks later we found out thru the man's Christian brother that a nurse led him to Christ hours b4 he died. So God did a miracle. Praying for this elderly man and this precious couple! Thank u Ray!

He's a liar. I knew he was a cop the way he answered the question about where he ends up heaven or hell. He said all the good he's done makes up for the bad. Every cop who does good things during the course of their work weighs that against the bad they do. They might save a women from domestic violence & then steal money/drugs from a bust. Or they can lie, cheat, steal, or even murder but then do those things by getting a bad guy & it's OK. Im so glad you were able to show how police think because it's really distorted & wrong.

Listening to Ray Comfort is so irritating that he completely convinces me to be an atheist. If this is the best spokesman God can come up he isn’t much of a God.
He makes Christianity sound repulsive.

I hear people say this on a lot of occasions but why does prayer help the lost more than talking to them?
I get it that speaking to God for wishdom to help the lost is a must. In the end the only one who can save them is God. But why wouldn't us spirit filled Christians just speak to the lost about the gospel instead of speaking to God that we want him to save the lost?

@Pepper confess your sins, ask God to forgive you by accepting Jesus's dying on the cross for the sins of the world and start a new forgiven life in Jesus' name. To as many as received him to them he gave power to become the sons and daughters of God.

Why do people continue to think that God and science don't go together? To me science explains how God intended our reality to work.
Yup, very true. I’m a biologist studying medicine, trying to get into medical school. I know physicians, physicists, chemists, biologists, engineers, all are Christians. Evolution is a good guess. It is used as an excuse to explain the unknown.
@@MrWood-qd6kr no, evolution is used to explain how we existed. Yes, I admit, there’s a lot of Evolution theories and to be quite honest with you, we don’t know which theory is correct. However, all those theories are still backed up with evidence so you can’t just say that they’re all fake.

@@robertdouglas8895 The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory to God (ROMANS 3:23) Psalm 14:13 and Romans 3:10 says everyone are sinners and no one is righteous we were supposed to live with God forever until we sinned and then God sent Jesus so that us and the Father can be reconciled and be Children of God! repent and believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead and confess your sins and to God because 1 John 1:9 says if you CONFESS that you SINNED THEN God WILL FORGIVE YOU because He is just and faithful so it is clear we are sinners not like God

Don’t feel sorry for us. We are completely fine and we know an “all-loving” god doesn’t exist. Like me, we were all once Christians, until eventually we opened our eyes and actually did research. Some of us, probably know the Bible way more than you do since some of us have read the whole Bible and found loopholes in it. On the contrary, it is us who feel sorry for you.
It's very sad and just pray for them and keep telling them about Jesus

@@hamster4618 This is the great cop-out that so many atheists cling to for some reason, that the burden of proof is on the theist. No. We all face the same potential consequences - either extreme good or extreme bad. As such, considering we all want the best for ourselves, it is contingent upon each individual to have the best argument possible to justify their position, I would say even especially the ones who are choosing instant gratification to live as they like in this life, gambling facing terrible consequences later, and forfeiting the paradise easily available to them. Such a person better be very sure of themselves, have absolute proof.
God reveals himself tangibly to any person who sincerely wants him, as is his promise. It's never an issue of proof, it's an issue of want, the bias in each one of us that determines which way we go with the evidence readily available around us. With that evidence, and a heart that sincerely desires truth, a person is willing to receive that salvation, accept Jesus for who he is, and in that receive the proof that God is.

I mean, who would believe in a talking snake, a god who threatens people yet claims he’s a “loving god”, who would believe a man actually can heal people or walk on water. None of that makes any sense and there is no scientific evidence back any of that up. The only evidence you have here is the Bible which isn’t reliable evidence because anyone could say the same thing. Unlike the Bible, science partially explains why we exist and how we came to be (Big Bang Theory and The Theory of Evolution). All the Bible says is we came out of dust, which first of all makes no sense and secondly, that evidence isn’t backed up either.

The way the older man was talking was a clear indication that he was running from something. People who are about to be arrested and put in jail speak the same way. Simply because they know that they have done something wrong but no matter what proof you give them,they can’t come to terms of their mistakes. I’ve seen that so many times.

Christianity is not the Truth, it is a belief, which is the opposite of the Truth. Truth is objective, not subjective. Show me some actual proof that the Bible is the word of God and I will be listening, but the only truth I see is that it was written by a collection of ancient men. If God created men and women in their image why in the world is 95% of the women in the Bible nameless and only referred to as wives?

I agree with you 100%. But Getting old is not an option for everyone. Plenty of people younger than me have passed away.
Don’t just hope for his salvation. PRAY for his salvation.
And yet Ray tells us that as long as we 'repent our sins and trust in Christ we will be saved', essentially the same message in slightly differing words. Like the Catholic church Ray puts no time limit on this 'trust' , so George's example of Hitler being saved by a deathbed conversion is not so different from Rays.
He needs no saving since there is no afterlife to worry about.

I’ve noticed more and more how this generation has no care or time for God when you first meet them. Scary
35% of Americans are in the religious "None" group, 11% don't care about religion but don't won't call themselves an Atheist and 24% of them are non-believers or Atheists. That's 1/3 of Americans. 1 in 3 don't believe the claims of the religious.
What's scary? People who don't worship the same god as you? 3/4 of the world don't worship your god. Does that really scare you? What is it with Christians and their fear of everything, even in your own religion its fear this and be scared of that. Work on yourselves, give someone a reason to believe besides Fear.

This is the exact reason why it is so important to reach young people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ because I found as people grow older the more their heart becomes impenetrable. Keep pushing Ray, your the man.

Amen! Most people end up giving their lives to Christ between 5 & 13, while almost 70% of all Christians did so before 18.
@@whichgodistrue2004 "Indoctrined" is not the right word to use. You cannot force anyone to join a faith, and it is their choice. It is Biblical to teach your children in the way, if that is what you are asking. It is the parents job to guide them in life the best they can so that hopefully they can make the right decisions themselves when they get older. That goes for parenting in general.
Salvation is a choice, so "Indoctrined" is not an appropriate word to use. Anyone can be a Christian without being "taught" to be one, but you can't even "teach" someone to be a Christian, only show them the Bible and let them make their own decisions, as well as pray for them.
Any other person that has a faith will do the same, to raise them in their faith. May I ask what is your point in this?
@@whichgodistrue2004 being taught of a religion as a child is no different than being taught one as an adult. A parent raises a child to have morals and they can still change later on in life. The point is to raise them the best you can and they can make their own choices later on.
Not every Christian has Christian parents and the same goes for other faiths. My parents are not Christian yet I am. I know someone that is a Christian yet they have Muslim parents. It is their choice, so saying they are forced to be in that faith because their parents are is not true.

They grow up, take the information they know, study it, and make the choice to follow or to fall away.
A person could be raised Catholic and only know that, but come to read the Bible when they are older and choose to convert to Protestantism.
People's brains change as they age, and so do their personalities and how they view life. They develop their own personalities capable of making their own decisions.
Saying someone is brainwashed for growing up in a faith is like saying they were brainwashed for their parents raising them to have morals. Cults are a completely different subject

It’s funny that at the end of the judgement part we always try and play it off by saying that “other people do it too, I’m not the only one.” I call it the self righteous competition. When we face the lord we can’t tell him that there are people worse than us, we get judged by our own sins, not our sins comparative to others.

I believe that he ruminated over your conversation afterwards. The Word says that God’s Word doesn’t return to Him void. I think you will someday be very happily surprised by who is in Heaven. Perhaps many who did not appear to be receptive at first will be there- all because you were obedient!
I can't help feeling sorry for the people who put in all that hard work following religion when they die and only then realise how much waste of time it was.

(Subscribed years ago!) I had fun with those coins the other day. I'm housebound. I have to have a special worker come and haul me to the doctor's office in a wheelchair when I have to go. So there we were, in the middle of a doctor's office, who's middle "path" was made of cement. I told my worker what I was going to do so she would not pick it up. I tossed one of those coins on the floor, it made that wonderful "ching" sound and rolled around to a stop, and sure enough, out of nowhere flew a young woman to pick it up for me and hand it to me. I smiled and said "Thank you, but that's for you." She was all happy. I gave out so many coins that day, I barely have a handful left. Will have to get more!

He leads up to it with a statement about The Lord being a teacher from God etc,but we never actually get to hear what he originally was going to ask because the Lord "interjects" ,cuts to the chase and tells him that he must be born again etc.
That was really the point I was trying to make 🙂👍
Eternity is so big and the never dying soul,well never dying,that at times one has to cut straight to the chase and at least attempt to get to the point as swiftly as possible.
It can be the case that even when you bear with and listen to folk (which as I say is mostly always a good thing) sometimes they reject the truth or your approach to it & still don't listen because in God's Sovereignty He decides to leave it that way that day and perhaps forever - but all you can do is try to explain the reality of a very unpalatable truth to most men - The Gospel
That's not to say we just ride rough shod over people,but sometimes we don't have the luxury of time & sometimes we get it wrong being human etc.
A surgeon sometimes doesn't have the luxury of prettying up thr surrounding flesh in a cancer operation - to save the man's life he has to just take the scalpel and cut away every piece of the cancer which may well leave a number of scars or mutilation and all that before the patient awakes - I do believe that Ray was attempting to do just that,though it was a tough day in the office for him and indeed it will be an eternally tough day for the the gent who he was witnessing to unless he repents and trusts in Christ.
I guess you have to exercise Ray's calling for the years that he has to know how hard it can be - hell or heaven can become very very weighty day after day 🙂👍

He also spoke of sheep and goats,a wide &narrow way and also said many are called but few are chosen.

I'm never even sure why people argue or get mad about this. God wants everyone in his company, we should want the same. I don't care if somebody figures it out in the last second of their life. When Satan loses we win. I still think Satan's best trick is to make people think nothing is real outside of the earthly realm.
I tried to talk to my brother in law this week , he's an avid reader and had left a book behind in my vehicle while working with my husband. He said he had been looking for it for some time ( which btw I had told my husband on numerous occasions that it was in the truck and to let his brother know but with so much on his mind he kept forgetting ) anyway feeling this was an opportunity to witness to him, I said the only book I read is the Bible , forgetting completely that I also read my copy of Jesus in Red ( this was my very first attempt to witness to someone besides my children ) unfortunately it didn't go well as he then said he had read the Bible once when he was a kid and felt there was nothing new to learn. I said that I had heard that even ministers who have been preaching for years have said they learn something new every time they read it but he commandeered the conversation at that point and went off track talking about anything and everything that had no connection to what I was trying to tell him. I'm a shy person to begin with so unfortunately I didn't know how to reroute the conversation back to my testimony. What I should have had was a few tracks from living waters to give him, being that he's such an avid reader he may have been tempted to at least give them a glance and I would have probably been more successful in the end of reaching out to him.
You get an "A" for effort. Fulfilled prophecies can get intellectuals attention. Sometimes they'll say "that is just your book verifying your book, well Revelation 13:16 says otherwise. A Mark in/on the right hand to be able to buy or sell, no Mark no shopping? Here we are. Many multi national companies have already microchipped their employees, videos prove it and prove the Bible once again. Bible Prophecy equals future history.They gain access to the workplace, buy at vending machines, and in the cafeteria with a wave of their hand. "Whole Foods" getting there too.... Prophecied 2,000 years ago. Just like the hundreds of Prophecies telling of Jesus coming to save the world from their sins, at His first coming, and soon second coming. Isaiah 53 is called the forbidden chapter in the Jewish synagogues as it clearly pointed to Jesus as Messiah written 700 B.C. because many Jews have come to faith by that Chapter alone, on and on...........

I had been an athiest for 34 yrs, I'm 42 now, recently found out that Jesus loved me and I actually did have a purpose on this earth. I can honestly say for the old man that the older we get the harder we tend to stick to our beliefs. I pray he has a change of heart but he is at an age thats hard to change. May God show that man that Jesus is real and that he too can be in heaven if he accepts Jesus into his heart.
I have a friend who is atheist and another who described himself as agnostic atheist which we both agreed is just agnostic. The second one I feel I may have planted the seed with, but I don’t know if I can get through to the first. He lost his sister at a young age and I can understand where he is coming from and sympathize without agreeing with him. He is currently trying to get his PhD in physics so very intelligent in that respect, but very ignorant when it comes to religion. How did you learn about Jesus’ love? I feel like if I try to explain that to him, he’ll just reject it.

My non-belief in GOD started at I would say 8 yrs old. I was in an abusive house to keep it short. I used to pray to GOD to save me from there. He never did. At 8 yrs old I started smoking pot and ciggarettes regularly. My step father had the pot and they both smoked ciggarettes so, easy pickings. I lived my entire youth high on something always. Weed, alcohol, pills, lsd, ecstasy, cocaine, crack you name it. I got into DJng at 18 and was in the clubs alot. Got busted one night for trafficking ecstasy because I was carrying alot. Went to prison for a yr and some change. Got out and was still a dumbo. Got onto crack again real bad. During that time I qas building PCs and stuff and AOL was still very active. Met a girl, stopped immediately smoking crack to be with her. Had a son, found out what love was. Best feeling ever. Was stay at home dad for 4 yrs and girl cheated on me so I made the hardest decision I've had to ever make in life. Leaving my son. I did that and I fell into a deep depression that last about 10yrs. Was into drugs, sex, women and finally met another woman whom I thought was awesome, but..... here we are a few months back and all I wanted to do was die for 2 or 3 yrs prior to that. My thoughts were consumed with it. Why? Because I had NO PURPOSE. Without him there is zero purpose to live.
Anyways, one night I was at my weakest time ever and I cried out "Jesus! If you are real then come save me from myself please!?", and in one single instant, like a flash, all that pain and suffering I had felt my entire life was gone!!! I cried so much I cod have filled a tub probably. I thanked Jesus Christ for saving me and making that life long pain go away. I wasn't lonely anymore, I was depressed, I was filled with hate and anger.
He took it all away. Since that day I have been on fire for the LORD. I am getting baptised finally this Sunday, May 7th 2023 and all the rest of my bad habits are out the door for good! I'm committing my life to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one true king of all kings, my king, my GOD!
There is far more to it but that's the basics.
