    I love your videos but there were a couple huge editing mistakes in this one... is Steve off? :-) At one point, (5:18) there is a graphic of two bears on a map that was clearly the Antarctic continent.and Australia. Polar Bears only live in the northern hemisphere. At another point, (6:50), the map shows a line from Washington to Boston. After all, most animals don't want to be around humans in such a manner, and only do so because there is easy food to be found.
      On the other hand, I assume other options, such as relocating and monitoring the bear via tracking device, were too costly and not a realistic solution. Which does create a situation where non of the stated situation seem suitable or realistic.

    Hi watop. In a situation of starvation for any animal. Animals Will kill anything even if they usually don't eat that parcific animal. I was in town one day with a friend. we saw two bees. a small and a big one. We thought they were mating. but the bigger bee started eating the little one.and the bigger one flew in a hanging basket of flowers right above our heads. Still holding on to the little bee. I was stunned I couldn't believe what I just saw. Yes they were two bees. Same marking same colour. so that told me a animal will stop at nothing just to survive. and this happen in the summer and not winter. from 🇬🇧👍👍 an old cockney gal.

    What gets me is in the late seventies the big news was that we were heading into an ice age. They can't seem to figure out what climate change is supposed to do. They also don't seem to remember that climate change is a normal thing. That's why we've had so many ice ages and so many swamp ages.

    • @Gildedmuse
      @Gildedmuse Рік тому

      Hi! I would encourage you to actually research why that is, and really look at more current scientific data. After all, just 100 years ago we thought demons caused diseases. 50 years ago we thouhts the womb could "wander" around the body and cause mental illness. Just because something used to be believed doesn't necessarily mean it's true, and historically, we tend to get better and better at these types of scientific readings required to support such theories.
      (Okay, I said you should look into it yourself, and you totally should! Why believe this random Internet person? But.... Because I'm an annoying know it all....)
      (So it was originally one article that claimed this in the 70s because Boston had seen a particularly snowy winter, and it got repeated in the New York Times. The author was actually a celebrated science and technology journalist back in the days, and they feel embarrassed that this is the one story people bring up when it was so poorly done. It was less than one page, burried in the back, and yet people today continue to quote it as some sort of proof. This despite the fact that even back in the 70s it was believed we were SUPPOSED to be in a Little Ice Age, and a growing consensus that pollution from the industrial revolution was causing climate disruption.)
      And yes, I totally understand the many reason you shouldn't take a random Internet person at their word, but it's kind of an interesting story. So if you ever did feel like looking into it there you go.
