- not sure where this came from but its either a demo or a radio station broadcast. either way its sometimes around 1992. I got kinda lazy and some pictures repeat :) I do have another version of this song ill post sometime
later
I went to high school with Tori and I couldn't be happier for her success. She is truly amazing
wow some of these photos i've never seen before...and this is a great version of happy phantom..thanks for posting
This absolutely beautiful. On so many levels.
Thanks for posting this, i can hear the notes really clear, love it.
love this version....she plays around with the tempo.
Terrific lyricist, no doubt. But that piano! She was born sitting at it with her fingers lovingly on the keys! What a talent!
@ChibiGothic194 I've been a fan since my mid teens, I'm a mum now and I love NOTHING more than rocking out in the backyard with my daughter (she's 8 now) to this song, I suffer a degenerative disease and when i've had a bad day we turn it up on full volume and sing at the top of our lungs. I'm sure your mum is a happy phantom, and when I get to wherever we're supposed to go I'll rock on out with her!!
I don't know how one person can be so beautiful and talented, and kind, not like artists (and I use that term loosely) today, spending millions on clothing and purses, and jewelry, when children are starving to death. Why do greedy people get the breaks? Anyway, I have a very fatalistic view, this song helps me not be so afraid to die, so thank you!
i love the part about Confucius...it's funny, since he was all about nothing new! (he was a Chinese philosopher who wrote a lot of a books about tradition and how new stuff stinks)
I thought so, thanks for the information.
yes
tori always played with the tempo on this song in the early days
that was played on a keyboard... this is a real piano for sure~
And if I die today, I'll be the happy phantom, and I go chasing the nuns out in the yard, and I'll run naked through the streets with all my musk on, and I'll never need umbrellas in the rain, I'll wake up in strawberry fields every day,...the happy phtantom has no right to bitch..will I pay for I've been? The time is getting closer, the time to be a ghost..Will we pay for who we've been..will you still call for me, when she falls asleep? And if I die today..
@daj4444 That's Tash, her daughter. She's actually nine years old.
This sounds more like a live version than a demo, but who knows.
homecoming queen? =-)
The little girl at 2:15 is that her daughter?
cool u did?!
this is the best version, classical piano makes the song, as well as the lyrics of course. dont like the arrangement on demo 2
Who is that at 2:15?
