*USED TO v USUALLY* is one of the 16 common mistakes I teach you about in my book, English Quick Fix. ➡️ Download it free here: book.englishquickfix.com/ ✨
You cleared all my doubts about use to and their surroundings. A huge appreciation for that . Wow, believe or not, you totally nailed the lesson. Well done Greg!
Hi G, my dad and I always like your videos, esp, you added subtitles to it, is really helpful for English learners G, keep doing a great job up. cheers from Vung Tau, Viet Nam
Thanks Mr.Greg! It's wonderful to get such very useful lessons for free, it will help us to improve our English especially as non-native English speakers. I would like to follow this English journey ❤️
Greg, hi! I'm Eugene, from Russia, and I like the videos you make. thank you so much for your excellent way of explaining. Everything becomes clear for me, that I had not understand earlier. Thanks.
Please can you also teach us the usage of 「be supposed to」and 「should be」? What’s the difference between them? When people use 「be supposed to 」,would that thing finally or actually be completed ? Thanks in advance.
Greg, you are an excellent teacher! Your pronunciation is perfect! In general, it's easier for me to understand American English, because I graduated in an American English Course. Unfortunatelly, I don't have anyone to have a conversation because in Brazil just a few people speak English. I teach English in a public high school, and my students have not much interests, They not even like to talk in English (LOL). I would like to have a native speaker friend to get in touch. Through thick and thin, I always appreciate your contents. Thank you so much.
Thank you. The topic was explained brilliantly by you. Now it clear how to use this constructions. Please, can you explain when we should use articles the/a and when not to use any of them.
Fantastic lecture!!! In my opinion structuring the lecture on the board into three fields: past adaptation and present in order to compare these differences at glance. Thanks so much!!! Wish you a good and blissful day!!!
Hi Greg! I just found your channel! Iam from México ,love your accent, hopefully my English can improve since I have not practiced it since al long time ago!
Excellent teaching. Thank you sir. Would you answer the following, please? Does "I'm not used to people being nice to me for nothing" mean "I'm not accustomed to/I don't like people being nice to me for nothing"? Awaiting your reply, sir.......
This is my first time on this channel. Thank you for your help and great explanation. I am learning English now and without examples it's very difficult for me to understand. I think, I will watch others videos.
Thanks for share your knowledge!! All your lessons are very easy to understand. I would like to know when you use I am or I, because for me is very confuse.
I appreciate that, because these grammatical forms are pretty much the same as in portuguese (my language). So it's very easy to learn. Not that english is easy. I think most of english is very difficult. Since the words we usually use in Portuguese, in English are often different, this makes the meaning an enigma for us, and it takes you some time to process and understand.
Thanks a lot for your useful video, Greg. But I'm still confused when it comes to helping my daughter with her exercises in reported speech. Example 1: He asked me "What were you doing at 9 a.m yesterday?". How should I report the sentence with the exact time given? A. He asked me what I was doing at 9 a.m the day before. (without backshift tense) B. He asked me what I had been doing at 9 a.m the day before. (with backshift tense) Example 2. He said "I met my wife in 1980." should be in reported speech: A. He told me that he met his wife in 1980. B. He told me that he hed met his wife in 1980. I really appreciate your help. Thanks again.
Please record complete advance tenses learning video, I have been searching for a better videos in UA-cam but until now i couldn't find anyone who could teach tenses in a better way. Appreciate...
Great video to understand the different variations of USED, well explained it's crystal clear to me now thanks a lot Greg! Still got a question for whoever might reply to it. I got used to understanding? I learnt in class that ING form is not recommended for verbs like Love, hate, like, and think. What make it usable here? Thanks in advance for the hints :D
Hi Greg, thank you for your super useful info. You've said that after "usually" there is the infinitive. But with the third person I must use the "s" or not? He usually do or he usually does? Thank you in advance for your help.
I'm trying to learn english also outside school in my freetime. I got the feeling, I've been making a huge progress since the last weeks and months. So I wanna say thanks to you, really!
