Honestly, I don't mind this cycle at all. It's annoying to people because we are dying to get resolution from the story that we love so much. It's literary blue balls. But looking back on the best manga I've binged, the one thing that kept me reading and turning the pages were the cliffhangers after every chapter. Chap 1: They WHAT?! Chap 2: NO WAY! Chap 3: NOW WHAT NOW?! This format would be really fun to binge read. It's annoying right now, but I think it will be a great binge down the line after all is completed.
This chapter brought back my hype even though most likely everyone is getting wiped next chapter, but I'm really glad maki survived that black flash. And Miguel surprised a lot of people.

I've read the Japanese scans, it says that after Gojo landed his 2nd black flash or landed black flash for the 2nd time, he regained his lost RCT output. Then in the narrator's last statement it just says "As for the king of curses-", so it's likely a parallel and Sukuna restored his RCE output.

To perform the World cutting slash, without handsigns against gojo, Sukuna used a binding vow that added more requirements to the activation of the WCS.
Previously, he only needed to do the Enmaten hand signs only (and, he could actually do the WCS without using hand motions too) but now he needs:
Hand signs
Chants
Give the slash direction
This actually makes as a binding vow considering that he knew he was gonna have his old body back
Yeah. Sukuna is smart. He knew he would have his old body with multiple arms back. So he can afford to make that binding vow.

5:06 We lowkey was already told that Sukuna used a binding vow on Gojo. Chapter 246, Kusakabe explained that attacks like the world cutting slash usually requires some sort of charge up or binding vow to broaden the CT target. Since we know handsigns and chants are used to charge up CE and we know Sukuna didn’t use either, that kinda only left 1 options for him. Even tho this statement doesn’t mention that it’s what happened to Gojo specifically, those who were paying attention were able to easily connect the dots because it’s been stated multiple times that binding vows are the power of subtraction. We saw something as simple as Hakari letting Kashimo take his arm off in order to survive counts as a binding vow, so it wasn’t hard to infer Sukuna gave up handsigns for activation . He basically did the exact opposite of what Gojo did with Purple.

You know what I have a problem with regarding this fight, regarding ALL of these sorcerers, its that they are legitimately counting on Sukuna to be weakened.
They are attacking him the way they are now because they believe they have a chance. He "cant" use domain expansion, his RCT is almost gone, he has less than three hands left, and EVERYONE thinks that due to these circumstances, they can win. They are fighting desperately and it seems that the odds are in their favor. Yuji thinking like a cog, sees this as a chance to take him down, to beat him.
And thats a huge problem. Cause this is Ryomen Sukuna were talking about. Uraume has seen him fight and she alone states that he still has yet to go all out...and i believe in the next two chapters its most definitely going to be a bloodbath.
I personally think Sukuna is simply gauging what his opponents have to offer, if they have hope, how desperately would they fight against him. How would they respond if he reduced his RCT output, what cursed techniques do they possess, which one is interesting, which one is unusual, which one is dangerous. Maki definitely excited him as she had completely abandoned Jujutsu so how does she fare against someone who dedicated their life to Jujutsu. I really believe he is just gauging all of their strength as its a "meal" to him to experience or "taste" all of them.
All until hes satisfied.
I believe one of these sorcerers, probably Miguel, is going to pick up the fact that he is not taking any of this seriously at all. That hes deliberately not healing himself, not going after any of these sorcerers and just tanking all of their attacks.
It was never a close fight, Sukuna was just giving everyone the pretense that it is.
And i get it now why Sukuna is so pissed off at Yuji: he just thinks like a cog. Hes playing his part and fighting alongside everyone else. And the only reason that i can conclude why that would frustrate the hell out of Sukuna, is because he believes Yuji has WAY MORE to offer than the rest of them. He just needs the right "motivation".
Call it paranoia, but I can see from a mile away that Gege is setting the fandom up for something absolutely catastrophic. Not the merger, Sukuna himself.
And i get the feeling as well that hes going to kill everyone just as he said he would, in a ruthless fashion, leaving only Yuji to face him left. Not because he survived the massacre, but because Sukuna still wants Yuji alive. He'll have no one to protect anymore, but just ONE person to destroy.
We had a similar set up when Aizen fought the captains, and they all lost. Ichigo was left standing cause Aizen chose to. I wouldnt be suprised if Gege follows the same layout.

i think that he is holding back for sure and i do agree it is because he wants to have as much fun as possible, it's obvious by the fact that we haven't seen the fire arrow yet but i don't think that he isn't healing on purpose or not using his domain on purpose, the previous fights definitely took a toll on him. i also don't think that he secretly thinks highly of yuji, his hate and dismay seem genuine and he seemed surprised that yuji can even do as much as he did when he got angry that yuji's ideology was enough to allow him to even fight sukukna.

In order to world slash Gojo without any hand signs or chants, Sukuna now has to just… use hand signs and chants like normal moving forward? He is not going to hop bodies. Not everyone can host him. He actually protected Megumi because he realized he is one of the few who can host him. It’s unlikely anyone else there can host him apart from Yuji. And he will be a prisoner in Yuji’s body. So no chance of a body hop.

Also, why didn't Yuta copy Miguel's CT, he only had 6 copied CTs that we've seen, and it was very easy for him to get a thin icebreaker 4 times so he could have combined Miguel's CT with Future Sight just by grabbing 2 swords, maybe 3 swords of he pulls a Zoro.

I have a random theory about Yuuji.
Sukuna's comment about Yuuji from like two chapters back when he fought with Maki - You're not like the brat (yuuji) you truly shaved off/ got rid of everything (ie cursed energy).
I think that, Kenjaku tampered with Choso and his brothers and gave them some form of blood manipulation despite them not being related to the Kamo clan (remember their mother was a random lady and the father was a curse) because he was in the body of Kamo Noritoshi, who most likely also possessed the technique due it being a Kamo Clan special. In the same kinda way, Yuuji would get some sort of technique from his mother, Kaori. Absolutely peak chapter no more repetitive character deaths and arrivals. I have one question though if anybody could answer. I thought binding vows were supposed to be equivalent exchanges or at least things close in value. Is sukuna not having to use handsigns against gojo and then having to use excessive handsigns against everyone else really equal? As you said sukuna most likely did this because he was thinking everyone else was fodder. Was exchanging not being killed right there for a greater risk of being killed later really similar values? If im missing something or just stupid or just misread the translation please lemme know.
it’s equal in terms of trade off rather than effect. if he can use it now he can’t use it later type thing, regardless of what he used it for. obviously if it took into account that it took out the six eyes he would’ve needed something insane like not ever incarnating into his true form or something.
He only did a binding vow to avoid using hand signs. He didn’t do a binding vow to instantly kill gojo. If Gojo had been able to dodge that attack, Sukuna would have wasted a binding vow. So the trade off was, no hand signs just this one time for a trade of needing atleast 3 hands to ever perform the world cutting slash again. 2 hands to do the signs, one hand to point the direction of the slash. So Sukuna actually sacrificed a lot more for just a one time no hand signs.

@@delta2370 He didn’t do the binding vow to make the attack undetectable . He did it because he had just lost one arm and he needs at least two arms to do the world cutting slash. So he made the vow in place of using only one arm this time, he will need 3 arms at least from now on instead of 2. The binding vow wasn’t to make it undetectable. It was just to allow him do the attack. No point in the manga was it shown that gojo can see or detect his attack anyways. So that’s a different story all together. The binding vow was just to allow him do it with one arm only this time.

And shouldn’t making something that negates durability seemingly undetectable hold a lot of value? This binding vow had to get rid of the spark as-well or gojo would have dodged and gojo can see the cursed energy that the slashes are made of so the binding vow had to include something with that to. It doesn’t seem very equal value to me?
