  • Led bulb repair can be done at home with simple methods. You can repair led bulbs with very simple tools such as graphite and aluminum foil. LED bulbs can break down when they get too hot. You can fix these led bulbs at home instead of throwing them away. Aluminum foil and pencil methods are effective in repairing led bulbs. Don't waste money on a new led lamp using these methods.

  • @showdownz
    @showdownz 5 місяців тому +18

    This is pretty unsafe. Led Bulbs do in fact get pretty warm. The normal heating and cooling cycles when used will break down the adhesive of the tape and it could lift, weakening the aluminum's connection. Now what you have is a small pocket of hot air with kindling (the paper) and an ignition source, the electric arc from a barely touching tinfoil connection. Surrounded by plastic which is most likely flammable. Fire takes 3 things: Heat, Fuel, Oxygen. (a spark creates enough heat to start the process). The graphite seems better, but not much... for the same reasons. Solder it!

      @@HolarMusic No, the LEDs are wired in series meaning the same current runs through all the LEDs. That's why the entire bulb quit when one LED failed, the circuit was broken. What will actually happen is since the LED driver is designed to put out a fixed amount of current the voltage output will drop since there is one less LED to push that current through.

    Никогда не лезьте во включённую лампу неизолированным инструментом - Вас может запросто убить электричеством, хоть напряжение на одном светодиоде и невелико, но так как источник питания в лампе не имеет галванической развязки от сети 220В, то Вы можете попасть под потенциал сети.

    But removing one or more LEDs will increase the current in the electrical circuit, which will soon cause other LEDs and other components to burn out. The correct thing is, if you need an LED lamp with more brightness, buy another one with greater power.
    Só que retirando um ou mais leds ira aumentar a corrente do circuito elétrico, que logo mais vai causar a queima de outros leds como também de outros componentes. O correto é, se necessita de uma lampada led com mais luminosidade é comprar outra de maior potencia.

    OK. This might technically work. But be aware that depending on the lamp design you may risk to get an electrical shock that may kill you! This should only be done by people that are aware of the danger working with electricity.
    If you ever do it it would be better to replace the burnt out LED by one of the same type. And even though I like the idea to save money and produce less waste it might be better to spent $2 for a new lamp. That's much more environmental friendly than a burning house!

      @@user-pb3cb3eh3l , у меня в месяц за электричество получается цена этой лампочки. То есть за год - 10 лампочек. Работают они 5-7 лет, а если со стабилизатором, то и 20 лет могут. Нет, если заявленные 30000 часов они проработает - гораздо выгоднее по деньгам, чем лампы накаливания, хоть они сами и стоят в 5-7 раз дешевле. Это когда электричество стоило 4 копейки - тогда да.

    Just buy some solder

  • @EsotericArctos
    @EsotericArctos 2 місяці тому

    Most graphite in pencils will not do what is claimed, though it could act as a resistor if there is enough carbon content. Note that doing it live is EXTREMELY dangerous as some LED lights have mains voltage across the LEDs. I would definitely NOT Follow any advice is this video. It's too dangerous. LED globes are cheap enough to just replace if they fail, or if you know what you are doing, properly solder a resistor in place to bridge a failed one. If you do what is claimed in this video and manage to get it work, well just remember the carbon poweder from a pencil just falls off and because no connections are soldered, they will fail very quickly, if they work at all to start with. Fire risk is very high
