I would consider a Cry Havoc QRB (Quick Release Barrel) kit. It is a really great takedown system... rock-solid and space-saving for storage. Super fast and repeatable assembly. Fantastic video.

Curious about the overbore systems swivel mount for the rein 3.0, can it attach to the regular rein 3 body or do I need to run the legacy body? Heard the legacy body drops the output of the light.
Also, does the swivel mount have full travel of swivel and doesn't get pushed off of position easily? Can it be offset an inch or two forward too?
I'd say the 13 in 308 sig spear would be my go to especially if you're fighting aliens. Aliens are going to have fancy armor and tech and you'll need something with more power then 5.56 to get through.

Call me old fashioned but I still appreciate the punch of a 16” barrel out to 350 yards.
My current build is running a complete geiselle MD01 upper, airborne CH, and enhanced BCG.
Topped off of course with a EXPS3-0 and G45. She eats all the ammo and doesn’t skip a beat. Love this rifle.
It would be nice if Eotech had shake awake function and had a solar panel to help with battery life.
Ability to charge the colors on the holographic sight is a huge plus.
Just little things like that would make it better.
That isnt possible with the holographic technology they use. They would have to make an LED version, in order to do those things
@@sei_asagiri I don’t think color changes are a gimmick. Depending on your environment a green dot may not be the best option. A forest is a great example every thing is green.
Why stop at solar panels? Why not have them put a whole ass nuclear powerplant in there that'll keep it on from now till the end of time?

@@sei_asagiri The real reason why most dots are red has to do with battery life. Green reticle models consume far more power than their red counterparts. Something about the color spectrum and what it takes to produce light at that wavelength or some such thing. I'm not 100% sure on the science but you can look at the green models of any optic on the market and see that the green variants all have substantially worse battery life.
Also, I've never heard of a green dot / optic that can get dim enough for use with night vision devices.

I went with a 10.3 shorty as my one-all rifle back in the day, kind of regret not getting a 11.5-14.5 instead for the extra ballistics, but cant argue the benefit of shorter barrel in CQB!
I mean you have a xps/exps on that 10.3? A magnifier? Im running the G45 and LOVE IT! Nothing wrong with 10.3 think mk18

@@AverageAngler512if your always running suppressed and it’s reliable go for it, if it’s not 100 percent reliable and/or you run unsupressed then don’t do it.
Got a 11.5 BCM, 11.5 sr15, and 10.3 mk18, the 11.5’s are a lot smoother because of the 40% increase in dwell time. Especially the KAC. Ballistics on the other hand, at least in my personal experience was nearly identical if not identical.
Is it possible to run a flip up iron behind the magnifier? Instead of going with offsets?
My one rifle started life as a noveske infidel(13.9) from when John was as still alive. I never really shot it because I hated the flaming pig.
Removed pig.
Changed handguard to current model MLOK
Pinned a keymo mount on.
Ceracoated bazooka green.
Add razor 1-10 and offset RMR.
Modlight.
A5 buffer and sopmod.
Done. Shoots exceedingly well it’s just a bit heavy. The next rebuild the barrel will get taken out (has over 6k rounds on it now 🤷🏼♂️ still shoots well but it’s heavy) and I’ll swap to an eotech with 5x I think unless there’s a better 1-10 option that the piggish razor with its lackluster 10x.

I'm a big fan of the Ruger SFAR because it's a 308 package as light as an AR 15. Top that off with a G43 magnifier and 512 red dot you have the perfect apocalypse gun that's capable of taking larger game than .223 Rem.

I have a Radian Model 1 with a 12.5 Criterion Core barrel. It's topped with an Eotech Vudu with an ACRO side mounted. I usually run 64 grain Bonded soft points from Winchester. That would be the gun I would grab if I could only have one. I would say my 12.5 6mm ARC build is rapidly ascending the throne as my SHTF rig though.
if 6 arc was as ubiquitous as 5.56 it’d be everyone’s SHTF choice

I just hate the mags for it though. There's gotta be a way to make regular shaped mags, shoot even if they're 26-28 rounds, i just hate that boomerang look.
Good setup. Only argument I have is for Streamlight. I've had lights run a crazy amount of rounds on pistol and rifle. The lumen and throw are great with the 1000 lumen versions. They come with all you need for mounting, have great customer service and are way cheaper. Keep up the content.
Streamlight is great! In raw performance Cloud still wins, but to be fair, if we paid for price for them, it would be a lot of Streamlight for us too! They are great lights and great people.

13.7 with a EXPS3-0 on a high mount, light and laser and a can and you're good to go.
Unless you know what your doing….any rifle with iron sights and a light and you can bend anyone over clown…..you don’t NEED anything else.

Well since I can't afford a $3000+ rifle, my go to rifle/s are from PSA. There's not going to be a lot of running and sneaking around either, I'm too old and out of shape for that. Yes, I'll most likely be killed in the 1st 1/2 hr of a battle if it ever comes to that but, in that 1/2 hr, I can shoot a lot of ammo in the enemies direction.
HAHA this is true, and to be honest PSA has come a long way and is just making plan old good rifles and pistols these days. We have talked about that, and there is a case to be made for using their higher end line for base builds for serious work guns.
What do you mean if you "could" only own one rifle? 😅 I'm pretty sure a lot of us do not have the money to afford more than one. So some of us don't have a choice if we can afford one at all.
Maybe Elon should make weapons and sell ONLY to the civilian market. We'll probably get it at an affordable price and not wait a decade for the products to come out.

When I had to make that decision, because I did, I chose a DD5v3. Fully set up with a Trijicon SCO, backup Troy irons, a light, sling, and grip it’s 13lbs. It’s worth it IMO.

It will be what I grab if the day comes, and it’s what I’ll take every time I train with a rifle. I should probably get an extra barrel just in case…
