  • Instructions on how to install and setup the Rain Bird ARC Series App-Based Residential Irrigation Controller. This Wi-Fi based smart controller can be installed indoors or outdoors and replaces most residential irrigation controllers that have up to eight stations.     Instead of moving my router, irrigation control box or my whole frickin house, how about Rainbird making a WiFi controller with a receiver strong enough to properly receive the signal. I shouldn’t have to redesign my whole house to incorporate an item like this, Rainbird should design the item to be incorporated to what people have, yet sadly that’s not the case.

      It's just a receiver. Receivers don't have a "strength". The signal has a strength and that depends on the distance from the wifi transmitter.

      ​@@Dr_Kenneth_Noisewaterthe "receiver" likely has a terrible antenna design. I have this issue as well. My phone at the location of the controller can easily pick up a signal with more than adequate strength. Other Wi-Fi devices in my garage also have better strength than this controller (garage door openers, solar, water heater, etc). Worse, the app makes you still think you're connected but then it's really not , so changes or manual watering doesn't really occur/save
