Great video. Serious laser envy but we have to crawl before we can walk. Looking to customize car and motorcycle parts. Huge market here in Southern California. Might have to pick your brain down the road. Like, a human asking questions, not like a zombie. 🧟♂️ 😂
I am happy to be your 1000th subscriber. Hope you succeed in your this venture as well. as I have my laser business in uk as well wish me luck as well. your tips were really helpful.
The biggest thing holding me back is do I spend the money on a Trotec that has good tech support or save money and get a Thunder. You should do a video on why you chose your Trotec and any other of your other equipment so we can have some pro insight.
HI Benjamin, can you explain why you used a different fiber laser machine on the gun part project and not on the Trotec since you have the trotec speedy 360 which also has the CO2 & Fiber laser. AlsoI would like to know which brand is the small Fiber machine doyou have and which you recommend. Thank you
Great video series Ben! Can't wait to watch the next episode! Thank you! I am in "contemplating mode" currently. Am a woodworker by trade and would love to add the laser element for personalization and venture into other laser markets. My first question is concerning market saturation. Seems like EVERYBODY on the internet ia doing it just like woodworking; lots of competition. What say ye? Secondly, which machine would you recommend under $500? Thanks again! Jim
Hi Ben, great video... quick question What is L.A Awesome? I live in the UK so I doubt it is available here, but what is it? I may be able to find something similar on this side of the pond. Thanks
I've got an xtool D1. I'm just getting started so very small and worried about how to price items and price custom work and will anyone really buy from me. It looks like there is a lot of competition out there.
Great question. I think it’s great to have a balance of both when you are first starting out. We will be creating a video shortly that will cover this question directly.
Love the video man! Just ordered an Epilog Fusion Edge 40 watt CO2 and was curious about incorporating a standalone fiber laser for doing gun slides etc. What kind of fiber laser did you end up with? Also, you said this job of the slide was $75, what is your pricing like on the tumblers? To my knowledge, Yeti doesn’t provide much in the way of discounts.
Hi Austin, That’s going to be a great laser for you. We have a 50W fiber laser, the Trotec also has 80W Co2 and 30W fiber. We will be creating a video on pricing products specifically, but you are correct Yeti does not apply any discounts. Glad you enjoyed the video! When does your machine come in and did you get the rotary attachment?
@@benjaminjerome8597 Thanks for the quick reply! I did a tour at one of the Epilog distributors here in Indiana locally and was hooked and very much impressed. Honestly, I didn’t even look elsewhere but have heard great things about both mfg, so I’m not too worried. I did get the rolling type rotary, and stand for the fusion 12 system. It’s not due in until the first or second week of March, but that’s ok, will give me a lot more time to research, iron out details of the LLC stuff, find distributors for product, and get my office setup!
Great video! Have you done any polymer gun lowers with your 50 watt Fiber laser? I have been told 50 watt is to much for a polymer. What brand is your Fiber laser?
Yes, you just need to lower the power way down and adjust the frequency. It’s a JPT 50 from Haotian Laser. Message me on Facebook if you want more info. Thanks for watching the videos!
New to lasers but very intrigued I do have an eye for art and creating art But not so skilled with computers Looking to start a small home business Any advice helpful Thanks
Hi Jennings, Thank you for watching the video! That eye for art will help you out tremendously in this business. My mom is an art teacher so I guess you could say I have a little bit of that. The lasers and software now are actually pretty easy, and we are going to be putting out more videos on that. As far as advice, I would say definitely do your research on machines. There are so many options out there. Feel free to message me over on Facebook or Instagram if you have anymore questions. Instagram : @Genesis_Laser Facebook: @GenesisLaserDesigns
Hi Sean, Thanks for watching! It really depends on your laser. Most systems have their own rotary system and requirements. The rotary we have is from Trotec.
hey, also new with a 80w co2 laser, building a website atm selling little thing like dog tags on facebook market, i feel like im under cutting myself but would love to talk to u :D

1:42 - What's the make/model of that slick looking laptop next to the fiber engraver?
So i actually learned laser engraving because we have a machine at work. Just bought an OmTech co2 laser and will be setting it up at home.

Great video. What rotary would you recommend for a CO2 laser?
Hi Sean,
Thanks for watching! It really depends on your laser. Most systems have their own rotary system and requirements.
The rotary we have is from Trotec.
Did you do this Yeti with CO2 or Fiber? I think your Trotec does both??
The yeti was Co2.
Is it possible to start an engraving business using an XTool 20 Watt laser?
The Xtool is a versitle laser, however you will quickly find yourself looking for more power and speed.
The one thing holding me back from starting a business is lack of knowledge
Hi jerome i want to start a lazer business hope you help me
What fiber laser is that?
No need to wear glasses when using the fiber laser?
Hi Curt,
Yes, you should wear them. I was not being a good example in the video.
