I got one simply because the websites are being attacked at an unprecedented rate. Making files from your own games takes so much time. I personally like to have a slim build with only the games I'm likely to play.
All of the emulators are two years old, I just upgraded them and now the games play way better. You might need to upgrade the module on some too. I added more games and also added Vita, PSN and Xbox Live to the wheel.
@@AllGamesNewandOldThey have to be done manually. Sometimes it breaks things like games won’t work or it will start in the background and you’ll have to troubleshoot. With the dolphin emulator I had to also update the module. You can also change out emulators win rocketlaucher.

All the emulators are 2 years old because as you know this HDD's front end and backend content was taken from a free release called Hyperspin attraction II (from arcade punks)that was over 2 years in the making. What you get in this HDD is out of date code, emulators, modules, plug ins and mismatched media. To say it is painful on the eyes would be an understatement. Though the main build is from elsewhere I wouldnt recommend going to the HA II teams discord because as mysteriozone found out as soon as they realise you are running this junk thrown together, support for any issues likely created by the stuff kinhank has screwed up will cease immediately and you will be left to figure it all out by yourself
You can turn off the crazy sounds when navigating HyperSpin by toggling it off in HyperHQ. You can also change the crazy screen transitions in the same menu too. Some of the none working games could be due to Drive letter paths. HyperSpin (depending on setup) doesn't use relative paths.
I had a problem when updating, it caused a system crash so I just moved the files to another HD and loaded it on Big box now it runs perfectly without all the oversaturated collections and duplicate files that didn't boot
I have one too. I took it out of the external enclosure and put it in a Aoostar R7. Hooked up to CRT with DisplayPort to VGA adapter. Super awesome. the stutter is from it being a hdd.
I figured out how to eliminate the annoying sounds while scrolling through games. Just push I left joystick, menu will pop up and scroll down to sounds.
It never ceases to amaze me how they can sell this stuff. They didnt write any of the emulators, or hyperspin or whatever. All the done is put it in a harddrive. Ive been in hack/code/rom dump and emulation scene since mid 1980s and noobs are everywere who claim to be experts. Its very anoying. Aside from that rant, thanks for video. Most high tech/ advanced guys i know are not in public eye or social media etc etc, we stay low key and dont want fame and we dont do it for money. Its all.the noobs selling our hard work that we did for free and they are distributing it and profit of our hard work. Wtf Thats why i dont release any code or hardware to the scene anymore
@@AllGamesNewandOldit's before the 19XX's and after the Z's on the system wheel. You can select "All Games", push down on the left stick, and search by name. Also, you can press Y once you've landed on any game and save it to favorites. It also has a section for recently played.
The only thing I like about these builds is that it is hard to get games for the disk based systems because they are so big, hard to rip, takes so long to download. The older smaller stuff is easy for anyone to get. I haven't seen a build with Vita on it.

Antivirus software is going to report viruses on a drive like this. Not necessarily because it has viruses but rather because many emulators and associated tools dig into your system and have "virus-like" behavior. This makes scanning one of these drives nearly impossible. If you do please take the time to examine each file reported one at a time and do some googling to determine if they are part of something needed or not.
I have a spare HDD with windows 10 Spectre version installed on , i play lots of suspect game files installed on it , anti virus is non existent and i only go online to download needed files , i don't do any online banking or other critical stuff and just pull the network plug when i play games and boot up the system .
This is the best hard drive on earth money you can buy. Out the box its pretty good and most stuff works including the pinball stuff. However this is some stuff you need to add and or adjust to make it better. The art files alone and mame Roms make this drive worth the price and si much More…
Is adding switch games the same process as the NES that you showed? Paste the rom into the folder and then update collection by pressing the tab button?
Are the games in the 'collections' also in their respective system roms list? I have just bought this but dont want to see all of the collections, but there are some games in there id like to play.
Roms yes, but format has to be different for the drive for dev mode, emmulators will also need to be changed over to xbox versions , front end not sure yet. waiting on the updated version of this that has less games but has 5 different front ends on it. Will find out then. Very cool for $180 just for game list.
I think what you have to do is go into each individual emulator and do it there. A lot of the older systems are though Retroarch, Switxh is through Yuzu. I’d have to look to see what some of the others are.

Your antivirus software detected viruses through PC GAMES, not your console games. Let me make that clear. It's the PC games that have cracks that might fill with malware or trojans.

you can by from other companies like retrobeast or hyperarcade if your drive fails they will send you a replacement or you can just download a cloud version if you don't want physical
@@AllGamesNewandOld So i did a scan and found viruses in the Technoparrot folders. Requested a replacement and the people that sold it through amazon messaged me and sent me a settings.dat file. I juat have no clue where to place it.. And like you said its from china so who's to say the person didn't send me another virus to install :P but if you figure out the locations of these .dat files let me know. Or if you need the file let me know I can email you.

Pinball Arcade.... it "didn't work" so I started the program from the folder within the HDD.... Once I started it up played a few games through the exe file. it then worked.... So try opening it through the actual file folder. then see if it works in HSA.
Yeah I actually talk about it at some point in the video. You need to go to the files on the drive. Go to arcade, then emulators I think. Might be collections before emulators but I’m not sure. Then go down to Yuzu and start that up. There should be a place to program your controller buttons. When you go in it will look like it’s already right but you still have to go through every button and program it in. It only takes a few minutes.
my ps5 controller works fine for most emus, but doesn't for mame and lost function to exit out of emu with start and menu button on controller any ideas what to check
Same happened to me with ps4. Found the problem. You need xinput controller for seamless plug and play. Native Xbox official controllers and 3rd party xinput controllers work all the same, perfectly. But Playstation controllers work on some emulators and a pain with others. I switched entirely to Xbox wireless bluetooth

There are a lot of games which is great however a lot are just rom dumps two systems in particular that you will have problems with are going to be the xbox 360 and the Vita the emulators for these are still very new and the list of fully working games are still quite low. I think your issue with the Xbox games comes from having a very old version of the emulator as there a lot of playable games for that one far more than the Xbox 360. I bought one of these drives not the hyperspin one out of interest and to dump the roms off it into my own 6TB Retrobat setup and yes there were a lot of actual duplicates I'm not referring to the same game for multiple systems I don't have an issue with that also after virus scanning the files my system quarantined were the crack files for the "PS4" & "PS5" games these turned out to be false negatives although yours sounds worrying with it finding trojans. Newer games that probably shouldn’t be on here require a crack to run which gets flagged as a virus. From a business standpoint it’s in kinhanks best interest not to have an actual virus because it’ll get discovered and ruin their sales. That being said I’d be more weary of a knockoff/clone not directly from them. In general if you can still buy the game from the publisher it doesn’t fall under retro and you should buy the game to support the devs.

It's a good source of Roms. I use these roms to build my own systems. Saves me months of work

Scanned my whole computer and drive no viruses. I have not got a powerful laptop and can play up to PS2. I have no issues with these games.

GoW 3 is a settings issue. I can't remember specifically but I've seen other reviewers have the same issue and fixed it after changing some settings

For the pinball issue, open the system directly under emulators and run any rom. Then it will work under hyperspin.
Not sure if you mentioned that you have to change your drive letter for some systems to work.
Weirdly I haven’t run into that issue. Everything has worked so far regardless of the drive.
What letter? I used d: but can see i: referred to in Cemu for some reason, Cemu not working at all

So noticed you had Folklore for ps3 on this drive was that something you added or was it on the drive when you got it? asking as I love that game
I had to add it. I’m not too into most modern sports games so I deleted a bunch of those to make space and added games like folklore and some other RPGs.

These aren't actually viruses. Most of the time it's false positives exe files to run the game that virus checkers find.

@@jamesb9578 Teknoparrot always gives false positives in your antivirus. Ive always ran into that issue. Just add exceptions

sometimes when it's looking for a file it is because your virus software has misflagged it.

The select button isn't mapped correctly make your select a different button

Xbox 360 doesn't run All the emulators are so out of date and if you try to update them it kills the system they have all developer all everything locked on it it's stupid The dolphin emulator was installed in Chinese I had to use Google translate just to change my control key if you want it for the files great, if you want it for plug and play you got a 50-50 shot
u have the exact same problems as me just a nightmare so far. i cant even open most games im playn with a beelink ser 5 mini pc thats plenty capable
No way in hell im not playing games i dont own if i paid for them idc what anybody thinks. Also screw nintendo theres screwing with everybody else so who cares.
