Funnily enough, at 1:50:25, after Penny slices the ships, one of the writers/directors, Miles Luna, was so angry. During the commentary he yells, "YOU BASTARD!!" because he felt it was too early for any of the characters to be that powerful. After a bit, he then decides that Penny is cool enough to do it. I think, so far, Penny is the only character that was powerful enough to cut a vehicle in half.

Also, there's a running joke in the fandom of "it's also a gun" cause all of the characters have weapons that turn into guns. So Sun has "gun-chucks"

Coincidently the VA for professor Port was an Achievement Hunter that had a pretty huge scandal a couple years ago where he was a 40 year old married man with kids and he had been messaging female fans who may or may not been underage. And may or may not have met up with them in hotel rooms. So the comments about Port being a bit creepy to his students is actually on the nose.

I saw volume 1 first by accident; but I’m actually glad I did cuz it makes the Blake reveal less obvious and it let me get a good first impression of Weiss being a brat, to give a good starting point for her growth.
One of the greatest things about this series is their ability to take stereotypes and shatter them with REAL character growth that feels believable. The foreshadowing is insane and the easter eggs to catch little hints and clues SEASONS in advance is crazy once you know what to look for. Not to mention the music itself helping to tell the story.

WONDERFUL I always enjoy seeing people experience rwby it's such an amazing show. Most of the songs are sung by Casey Lee Williams, and she was around 13 I believe when her father wrote these songs and had her sing them. She's not the main songwriter and has her own band called OK Goodnight

Highly recommend watching the red, white, black, and yellow trailers as they aren't really trailers and more like character shorts. There are the four original ones for volume 1 and then volume 4 has a red trailer, volume 5 has white, black and yellow trailers and volume 6 has a short for a character you have yet to meet. They aren't super vital to the show but they do kinda give hints to things in the season and Weiss's answers one of the questions one of y'all asked about her in this video :)

WORD TO THE WISE: watch the World of Remnant mini series. It adds lots of helpful context to the world and how their magic system works since it’s fairly loose. I can’t wait to watch this show grow on you like a fungus and not ever let go

I saw volume 1 first by accident; but I’m actually glad I did cuz it makes the Blake reveal less obvious and it let me get a good first impression of Weiss being a brat, to give a good starting point for her growth.
1:11:49 the bunny girls boyfriend takes care of them behind the scenes. Its shown in the manga.
One of the greatest things about this series is their ability to take stereotypes and shatter them with REAL character growth that feels believable. The foreshadowing is insane and the easter eggs to catch little hints and clues SEASONS in advance is crazy once you know what to look for. Not to mention the music itself helping to tell the story.

I FAIRLY recently discovered your guy's stuff with your Pokemon movie reactions and kinda fell in love your style and general vibe you all bring to the table, clearly just want to have a good time and enjoy watching things, and tend to approach pretty much everything i have since watched you watch with a very open mind and open heart... and so for quite a while now been wondering to my self just how much fun if you ever ended up checking out my favorite series of all time....

Just subscribed. Yo as much as I want the next volume, if you haven't watched the trailers, you need to do those next. Keep in mind they are ment to take place just before the start of the series. They should still be available on YT. The Red, White, Black, and Yellow trailers. In that order. Like as awesome as the in series fights are, the trailers have some of the cleanest fight animation Ive ever seen.
Seeing you guys experiencing one of my favorite shows for the first time (especially episode with the bird) makes me giddy.

WONDERFUL I always enjoy seeing people experience rwby it's such an amazing show. Most of the songs are sung by Casey Lee Williams, and she was around 13 I believe when her father wrote these songs and had her sing them. She's not the main songwriter and has her own band called OK Goodnight

It was probably said before but there are rwby trailers. They are extra clips. Often just what happens with each character between seasons. They are definitely worth checking out!

Highly recommend watching the red, white, black, and yellow trailers as they aren't really trailers and more like character shorts. There are the four original ones for volume 1 and then volume 4 has a red trailer, volume 5 has white, black and yellow trailers and volume 6 has a short for a character you have yet to meet.
They aren't super vital to the show but they do kinda give hints to things in the season and Weiss's answers one of the questions one of y'all asked about her in this video :)

the fucking funniest thing about this conversation at 13:40 is Miles Luna, Jaune Arc’s VA/one of the lead showrunners tells a story on the RT podcast about getting so violently ill in London he shit himself while puking.
